Great place to stay. Crystal the bartender was very personable and outgoing!!!!! Would definitely stay again!!!!!
Great place to stay. Crystal the bartender was very personable and outgoing!!!!! Would definitely stay again!!!!!
Driving range is poor condition. Poorly marked positions. Ground like a rock to the point of hurting my hands. Could not get a tee time for a couple hours but when I got there and hit balls 4 2 somes went off in an hour. Guess they like a lot of room between groups? Course is ok some silly holes. One has tree in front of the green? Overall not great but only 1 of 3 public courses near beach so guess not much choice.
It's a challenge. The cost is good for seniors. A military discount, retired or active, would be nice.
Very quaint resort , a little snobbish the people though
We had to cancel due to a family situation and ended up being a few minutes late due to the nature of automated waiting at the booking agent. Oncs we spoke to them they worked with us to cancel without a charge. Will definitely go with them when we reschedule!
Overall had a great golf outing. The staff was respectful and attentive. The greens we're superb.
THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. The atmosphere and the rooms were awesome. The only problem i had was the wall sockets in the bedrooms for some reason only work part of the time . My other friend in the other room had the same problem.
This is a very nice golf course and club house that offers many good things. The food at the restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced and the staff is great. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Not what I expected. Golf course renovations going on. The room and furnishings were very dated.
First time playing the golf course and it was a really fun experience. The course was challenging but for me, a casual player, it was still enjoyable. Would go back!
The golf course is always in great shape and the staff is friendly and helpful. The BIG problem we had is despite numerous signs that say you must wear a mask we observed a number of people walking around without one. No one said anything to them.
Excellent, booked in for 2 nights, they booked us in an hour or two early which is great. Went out to play 9 holes (front 9 had a members comp starting, hence playing the back), could of done it twice around but decided to hit 2 balls. Back nine on the course is great, fairly wide open, not much trouble, greens in great shape and as I don't play Bermuda grass a unique test for me. One hole with a temp green - 16th. Staff very friendly and made us feel at ease. Great practice facilities too, range, putting green and chipping area. Price form 9 was $33. I play 18 here tomorrow and I expect the front to be just as good, would recommend you play here if you can.
Wonderful amenities!! Spacious and not too pricey!! Such a pleasant place to stay! Wilmingtons best kept secret!!
Enjoyed the course layout and friendly staff. Fun course even if the greens were aerated the day before. If ever back in this area it will be my place to play.
The course is in excellent condition. Brand new golf carts with gps. I love playing here. Only downside is you have to use a cart due to length between holes but that's okay.
Challenging course ,nice greens , and great hospitality. A very friendly place with a great crew of workers. Greg and his crew in the pro shop do a great job. Same with the kitchen and restaurant crew. Always feel welcomed.
Nice place to stay clean soft beds had a great time with my brother and sister.
Great course with a challenging layout. Friendly staff and well maintained greens and fairways. Note: I have not stayed in a room and am reviewing the golf course only.
Staff is awesome. Rooms are huge and overlook golf course.
I can't say enough about this wonderful place. We were displaced from our home after Hurricane Florence destroyed the interior, and Bonnie and the crew stepped in and treated us as more than guests, they treated us like family. The facilities are exactly as described, and you won't find a better value this close to area beaches and the river anywhere else in Wilmington. This is THE place to stay...and there's also the amazing golf course.
Rooms are much bigger than expected. The building is older so you get the creaks and groans of that, but amazing experience. The view off the balconies is pretty, but not the greatest view of the actual course. The only problem was with their breakfast. Perhaps the cook was sick because I read great reviews prior to staying here.
Wonderful service. Spacious accommodations. Very clean. Highly recommended.
Beautiful course, though only the back 9 was open due to flooding. On course staff was a little pushy, but the food and service at the bar more than made up for it.
The people here could not be nicer. The course itself was in good condition, however my one issue is the greens were under repair and had A LOT of sand all over them. Ate lunch after playing which was actually really good and not too expensive.
I really do love this hidden treasure! I am not a golfer but adore watching those who embrace their joy! I stay here every time I play a Carolina beach & have frequented here for many years. The rooms are very large with comfortable beds! It s old school place with a bit of southern charm! The staff is very friendly and accommodating!!! Always at home when away from home....
Room clean and spacious. We really enjoyed the back patio and looking out at the golf course. However, there were a lot of wasps and nests. Would definitely stay here again.
The course is in great shape. nice facilities and amenities and great staff.
I agree with the review by Drew Jenkins. My vehicle was vandalized at night. The place is a dog track run by mean people. There were beer cans all over the place in the entry drive.
Great room with lots of space and a good view. I like how it was dark at night and city lights were far away. Food a bit expensive.
The very best place to play after a lot of wet weather. Drains better than any course with in 50 miles.
It was a nice event. I didn't get an opportunity to work with the staff
Great service in their bar & grill! Awesome & friendly staff. I love to go there for the trivia at the first Friday of the month!
I heard that it was a great place to play. But the young man that works the counter need and attitude adjustment. I know it was my fault for not wearing a polo shirt but I was going to purchase one there but before I could he smarts off and says the he just lost money on the tee time. I will never play there or recommend it until he gets his attitude straight.
We have stayed here before, and every time it is enjoyable.
Our stay went extremely well from check-in to check-out...the Veranda Grille provided an excellent breakfast and the menu for lunch and dinner was suitable for our needs. Service from the Grille was excellent. Pro Shop staff was friendly and had no problems altering our tee times as we finished our morning rounds early. The course was in fair condition given the time of year and the greens were in excellent putting conditions. Maybe a little bit of better signage around the construction area to guide golfers to the next hole would e appreciated. The rooms were clean and had all you need for a short stay but if ever there is a reno to the rooms some better sound insulation between the second and first floor would be a nice change.
Course is in the best shape that I have ever seen it, best in Wilmington right now
OMG my family and I loved this Resort! It was everything we wanted. My Son plans to get a Resort Membership very soon.
And even though we're people of color we still felt very welcomed.
Thank you for making our family vacation a awesome experience.
Everything at the Beau is always great. From the food to the people to the golf. Love spending G time here golfing and eating.
The rooms smell odd and musky lol. AMAZING food in the restaurant area. Came for a work conference. Loved the design and space we used. Friendly staff!
Was attending a golf fundraiser. The staff here were great. Very helpful and food in the clubhouse was perfectly delicious and plentiful. The course was beautiful and there was even a small alligator that you could see as you drove past. This is a cart only course. No walking because of the layout.
Could be better if it had a full kitchen to cook food but I didn't made the reservation, other than that the place was nice and not too far from the beach
Visited BR yesterday for an overnight stay, room was quite large and clean. Reasonable rate. I would go back again. No ice available after front desk closed at 9 pm and the drink machine out of order. Convince store on corner about 3 minutes away.
Spacious room on a beautiful golf course. Although we did not have time during our stay to enjoy the amenities, there were many available.
Wonderful experience. Check in/Check out was simple. Beautiful place. Golf course looked amazing, but we couldn't play this time around. Rates were nice, room was large and clean. Very antique feel to it. Had a great NYE celebration going on as well! Will definitely be back.
Excellent service! Rooms very clean and efficient. Good location for our granddaughters birthday! We will return. Staff called as we were a little late because of weather, very courteous and understanding.
The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because you have to go the bar area for uce. Otherwise all the rooms have a golf view.
I am in the process of having my wedding at Beau Rivage and so far I have had an awesome experience, the staff really seems to care and work around our schedule and plans. Definitely Recommend!
When we turn into the entrance, there is pot holes, the place is hard to see their sign. Staff are friendly. Rooms were clean. We had upstairs tenants, when they walked, it sounded like they were going to fall thru. Very loud due to the hotel being 30 years old. If you are going for a quite & relaxing get away, this was not it. They told me next time to ask for a 2nd floor room, but I don't want to do that to someone else. I don't golf, so I can't speak for that part of the resort. They had a nice golf shop I walked in. They are building a lot of new homes, so there is a lot of construction. The restaurant struggled with a grilled cheese sandwich. It wasn't even melted.
Beautiful surroundings, very comfortable room, excellent service! We arrived at 2 AM due to traffic issues and Danielle made sure we had a key in a lockbox so that we could get in easily.
My husband and I got married at the Beau Rivage this past November, and it was the best day of our lives. Of course having family and friends at the wedding makes it special but Ellen, Susan and the rest of the staff at the Beau Rivage made sure that everything ran smoothly and expectations were exceeded prior to the wedding and the day of the wedding. I booked this venue because it was beautiful inside and out and the customer service was exceptional. We had some unusual requests and they just rolled with it! The staff made us feel welcomed everytime we came to visit. I could not have asked for a better venue. I wish I could relive this day over and over again. I highly recommend Beau Rivage to any couples considering it their wedding venue.
Played there last week for the first time and had a great time!! The course was beautiful and in great shape. Unfortunately, they had not cut the greens because of the recent aeration project but none the less they still looked great just rolled pretty slow. I had a blast and will definitely be going back. The club sandwich was pretty awesome as well!
The roast beef and horseradish sauce is to die for!
The Beau rivage is highly recommended, even if you do not golf. It is about 12-15 minutes from the beach/attractions, without all of the bustle. The rooms are fairly modern. The rooms have actual central air, clean and comfortable. They have a bedroom separate from the living room, and a very spacious bathroom, which is tiled and clean. On site is a restaurant/grill with a surprisingly reasonable price range and great service. There is a bar, and really nice pool with a tiki bar. While not on the beach, it is so close that it might as well be, with awesome, spacious parking.
Great size rooms. Bathtub/shower was household size and had a low shower head. Walls and ceiling/floors are very thin- definitely recommend being on upper floor away from stairs. Staff very nice and accommodating. Restaurant had wide variety of choices, however what I got (French toast) was a small portion but delicious.
Rooms are big, separate living room and a balcony. But the rooms need updating, couches are stained, bed are wobbly. Pool is nice except it closes too early. But if I live to golf, this is the spot. Also it's not handicap accessible at all. 10 minutes to the beach.
Beau Rivage is a beautiful resort with a fabulous staff. We were there for a wedding reception and the reception hall was an amazing space. We also stayed in a suite and the suites are very spacious. Would highly recommend for wedding venue or if you want to get away and have a golf weekend.
I like playing out here. Always quiet and nicely maintained.
The course was incredibly well maintained. The golf cart GPS was an added bonus.
Wedding party that was drunk and loud most of the night. Other people yelling for them to shut up because people were trying to sleep. Hair still in the bathtub where it needed to be cleaned. Had 2 mixed drinks made 1 for me and one for my husband that tasted so bad we poured them out. Oh and no refunds on drinks.
Hidden jewel in Wilmington. Spacious, immaculate rooms with view, couch TV, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Large bedroom with another TV. Bathroom was very clean with thick towels. The property is quaint but dated, however, it is maintained very well. We enjoyed the tavern and restaurant. Good food with large portions and reasonable prices. We were visiting family nearby and did not use the golf course. I would have given 5 star except for a few dated features. Definitely would return.
Spacious room, comfortable and clean bedding and a decent size"mini fridge". One point off for a mildewy smelling old shower curtain and for a toilet that could clog if you just said the word poop or even held up two fingers.
Real nice course. Greens in great shape. Friendly staff.
Golf course actually had an alligator on the banks of a water hazard. Not a fierce alligator, it was placid and was not tremendously huge. The resort rooms were sumptuous and spacious, with a living room style area with sofas in addition to the bedroom. The Southern-style food was excellent. There was also a good selection of craft beer.
Large clean room with comfortable bed. Enjoyed the balcony off the back of our room, had dinner in the lounge while listening to a couple local standup comedians. It was a good two night stay and the staff worked with us when our travel arrangements needed to be adjusted.
I Reccomend the driving range; but not playing the course. Rude snooty Pinehurst wanna be attitudes. Definitely not needed when there are tons of other golf courses around here.
Bonnie made my stay at Beau Rivage very enjoyable. She and the bar staff were very helpful. Golf course was in good shape. Greens were challenging.
Beautiful golf course, tricky, but not over whelming for the regular golfer.
We played in Jan so it was winter conditions but it was in good shape. I thought the layout was average and really didn't have that knock your socks off signature hole. The price was fair and the people were friendly.
