The cages where the animals are being kept are too small for some of the animals. I'm sure there is a diffente way in which we can learn about these animals

I loved it so much!The only thing is they were doing renovation work but you could still see a lot of animals.Can't wait to come back in the summer.

Great place for the family. Lots of new exhibitions and updates.

Its cute and the its a GREAT place for kids and dogs. And if you would like to throw a cookout or party in the summer I definitely would choose this place.

First time going to CT zoo with the family and it was lovely, entertaining and educational. Will have to go back when the bear finally comes.

Good zoo to take toddlers. Lots of things for.them to see. It was extremely hot when I went and animals were in shade and few could be seen. There were a few places under construction. I plan to be back.

My family and I truly enjoyed ourselves, however get a map because we almost missed some of the best exhibits. The loop that's more apparent is only half of what they have to offer!

This zoo is a decent zoo. Better to go in the summer. Other than that this zoo is awesome

I chilled for a bit in the park it was nice peaceful its much more cleaner then back then that's good ...

Great Zoo, always improving. A bit too small so take your time throughout.

We loved the. picnic's..& then go in the water.back then they had a swimming spot /picnic area that U could. Cool off in/i know time's change..So For All The Lucky People That Visit Enjoy... - - - - - - ...& the people that are just as excited as U..R (i miss the Fun that I had.. ( ;

This is a pretty nice place. You can even bring your own lunch.

We had a nice time today. Every single animal was out and the weather was nice. The teen volunteers are very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk with. Kids will love this place as did me and my wife

The only zoo in CT. Its gotten nicer. As a kid I rarely saw anyone in the place. Would go all year, all day. Was almost like a forgotten zone then. Big difference now, and because of that and my faith that the animals are treated properly, I feel ok about it.

I don't like the Wild Animals in the Beardsley Zoo. I don't like it for the Summer Vacation. I am afraid that is not safe to go there.

Very nice for the kids. Many animals hard to see. Quite a few exhibits closed.

Not bad for 2 to 3 hours fun. Plus you can so some really nice photography here, esp while capturing river.

BEWARE OF DOG AND DUCK POOPS. THERE ARE A LOT OF THEM IN THE GRASS.

I genuinely believe that this was the first outing I have been on in months that wasn't a limited family gathering, and I couldn't have possibly enjoyed myself more. Despite it's size, Beardsley packed a surprising punch with the diversity of its animal exhibits. And between their one-way paths through the zoo, limited number of guests, and other Covid-19 pandemic protocols, the staff has really gone above and beyond to adapt to these current times. So not only enjoyed myself, but felt quite safe thanks to all of their efforts to keep the zoo a pleasant oasis of learning and wonder during what has been an incredibly strange year.

The people who work there are friendly and answer any question you have. The animals are well taken care of. It's fun to go .My granddaughter loves it when we take her there.

It's not huge with tons of animals but they do so much to help endangered spieces & truly do it for the good of animals .

Some exhibits were closed but the ones that were open were very cool. Loved the pygmy marmoset the best. So cute!

I love the zoo, and was happy to be able to support them during this time of uncertainty.
You do need to wear a mask and some exhibits are closed off but the staff is kind and the animals are great to see.

Love Beardsley. Covid messed me up or I'd be working there. Exhibits are great and the staff is very cool.

The commitment to endangered species at this zoo is admirable.

I am very torn about beardsley zoo. The grounds are beautiful and you can tell the animals are very well taken care of. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful when you can find the. Prices for drinks and what not are very reasonably. But on the other hand it is a zoo. Enclosures seamed small for the bigger animals. The tigers were beautiful but their area to Rome including shelter was no bigger than my yard which is about 1/4 of an acher. In the wild tigers territory can be 50 square miles or more. I think this is a fundamental problem with zoos in general. I know there is lots of knowledge to be gained by studying animals up close, bit to mention the conservation of endangered ones, but I still feel bad for their limited space they are allotted.

Great place for a short day out. Takes about 90min to see everything at a 2 year old pace and attention.

Nice local zoo with some awesome animals. New tiger cubs were born recently and I can't wait to see them!

We are zoo members and love this place. We love to see the animals, have a picnic and go on the merry-go-round. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and the special events are great!!

A very nice zoo! Good variety of animals, birds, and plants. A little expensive to go, but discount passes are available at local libraries.

This is not the zoo from my childhood. Great job upgrading. The zoo is small and very fun to bring small kids.

Great place to go with the family and at affordable prices. Some new animals this year and more to come. Can't wait to see what happens next. Always a good time there.

Excellent zoo . The barn was getting renovated when we went. The animals always look well cared for. The paths are well laid out so you don't miss anything.
