The zoo is a family favorite. We visit nearly every week, and love the animals so much. It's great how up close you can get to most of the animals, and there's a huge variety for the size of the zoo itself.

The zoo is small, perfect for a hot afternoon with a toddler. The spider monkeys and baby tigers were beautiful and fun to watch. Our favorite spot-the farm animal section was closed this time, but probably will be better than ever next time. I love that they have this section for babies that love seeing real life farm animals up close.

They have an exotic array of plant life. Cacti to name a few. Beautiful coy fish. Happy otters. Flocks & flocks & flocks that might begin to seem endless. A furocious tiger or two so watch out for them as well as some wolves.

Great place to go, the kids had fun. The zoo is a good size. Not too big where you feel rushed to try to get through all the exhibits.
Only thing is the day we went the cafeteria was extremely slow. We waited over an hour to get our food, it was just hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken tenders. All stuff that shouldn't take long.

I've been to zoos around the country and this was instantly one of my favorites. Beardsley is an impressive little zoo with a long and interesting history related to P.T. Barnum (of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus fame). It's the perfect size and set up for young kids to walk through without getting overwhelmed, tired, or bored. The zoo is engaging for kids and parents alike with bonus exhibits such as a large historic greenhouse with exotic plants from around the world, a big indoor carousel, a great animal education center, etc. There is an array of animals you don't necessarily see in bigger zoos. The habitats were clean, well-sized, and the animals didn't seem stressed or disengaged like in other places. There are indoor/outdoor places to eat and clean restrooms. Overall, a great family place not to be missed!

Not worth for $30 for one day only in the park. Family came from out town and wanna spend time in the park couple day more for the holiday weekend. I know there so many parks that I have visited are way beautiful and cheaper. By having a zoo nearby so what's that post to mean, it nicer? not a lot of parking anyway for the zoo.

Though if you're going with a 8 and 4 year-old's don't to the little game app thing. You'll either get left behind or your "quests" will just keep popping up one after another and can't clear them as fast

Small zoo that needs updates. The exhibits are small. The bathrooms are falling apart. The men's room had water squirting from the wall and all the maintenance guy could say was "it does that"
Best part was the green house and even that was small.

This is CTs only zoo. You could probably finish the whole thing in about an hour because it's so small. It's great for small kids partly because of that. We have three kids under three, and this is their favorite place for outings. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Yes some cages can seem small, and it can feel depressing to see the animals in this situation, but if you're going to a zoo then it shouldn't bother you. The zoo is clearly doing everything it can to give the animals good quality lives. It's also supporting many conservation efforts so I am proud to support it.

I've been visiting it for 18 years. It's great, but still just 4 star great.

Great learning experience.

Inside exhibits closed for now, but still plenty to see.
You must have scan reader capability on your phone if you want to order food.

I love visiting zoos and seeing animals that aren't a part of our daily life. I brought my 12 yr old nephew and most of the animals he had only seen in a book or on TV. He was truly impressed! He also liked the refreshment stands!!

The animals looked well maintained. It was a small zoo that you should check out if you are in the area. You may want to bring mace with you if you want to buy something at the gift shop because the lady who runs it is VERY unprofessional and mean. Please proceed with caution. Other than her, it was nice to not have a million people packed into one area to look at the animals.

This is a perfectly sized zoo for bringing children to. Not too big, not too small. It is relatively clean and the staff is quite friendly. Some of the exhibits can be a little smelly, and some of the glass partitions could use some windex.

Very family friendly zoo! We went to this zoo on the last day of our vacation and it was a very nice zoo. We went on a Friday and heard there were 800 people from various groups there (mostly summer camps). We still had a great time. Animals were out and we loved the peacocks that walked about the zoo freely. Also the tigers were fun and so were the bearded fox. Don't miss the prairie dogs either. They were so cute. Definitely recommend this zoo.

It might not be the largest zoo I have ever been to. But your so close to the tigers you can almost think about petting them. (Wouldnt recommend it). Great for small children and people like me who dont like a lot of walking.
