BBYO is a youth-led organization that aims to provide Jewish teens with meaningful experiences and opportunities to connect with their heritage. Founded in 1924, BBYO has grown into the largest pluralistic Jewish teen movement in the world, with over 600 chapters across North America and around the globe.
At BBYO, we believe that every Jewish teen deserves a chance to explore their identity and connect with their community. That's why we offer a wide range of programs and initiatives designed to engage teens of all backgrounds and interests. From leadership development to social action projects, from summer camps to international travel opportunities, BBYO has something for everyone.
One of our core values at BBYO is inclusivity. We welcome teens from all walks of life, regardless of their level of observance or affiliation. Our goal is not only to help young people deepen their connection to Judaism but also to foster lifelong friendships and connections that transcend geographic boundaries.
Our flagship program is AZA (Aleph Zadik Aleph), which provides boys aged 14-18 with leadership training, community service opportunities, social events, and more. Similarly, our sisterhood program BBG (B'nai B'rith Girls) offers girls aged 14-18 a supportive environment where they can explore their identity as young women while connecting with other like-minded individuals.
In addition to these core programs, we also offer specialty tracks such as STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math), arts & culture programming through our partnership with JCC Association Arts + Culture department , Israel advocacy through StandWithUs partnership , entrepreneurship through StartUp Nation Central partnership , sports leagues through Maccabi USA partnership , among others.
At BBYO we are committed not only providing engaging programming but also ensuring the safety and well-being of our members. All staff members undergo rigorous background checks before being hired; furthermore all programs are supervised by trained professionals who prioritize safety above all else.
We understand that today's teenagers face unique challenges when it comes to navigating an increasingly complex world; therefore at BBYO we strive not only provide fun activities but also equip them with skills they need for success in life beyond high school - whether it be college or career readiness skills such as public speaking or networking .
