Coral Bay is beautiful and the whole town is close to the beach, bars and attractions.
However it is a very popular tourist attraction, so dont expect breezy open camp spaces and clean amenities with short wait times.
Do expect to be packed in like sardines and busy dirty amenities.
I suggest visiting outside of school holidays and long weekends.

Really good spot, but having a 150k car and expensive caravan and after 2 days having huge amounts of tree sap from all the pine trees all over them is very annoying.
It's all over our bikes and swimming equipment.
Can see it dripping everywhere from the trees.

The manager doesnt know what is a "normal customer relationship".

A mistake of communication between the staff and with the customer.

We are your customers, so if you want more money, manage your staff, listen us and stay civilized.

To be a good manager you need to learn and understand what is the "customer service".

Stayed during school holiday period in powered site. As expected it was full, but did feel like we were all packed in like sardines. Grounds require more maintenance. Showers and toilets require upgrade, they were dirty and not cleaned regurlarly enough given the patronage. On the positive staff helpful and facilities for kids

Bays for camper trailers were too small. Toilets and showers were dirty. Location was very nice, good for snorkeling and swimming. Bring your own water and food as there is not much choice in the shops. We stayed in school holidays and it was very busy.

So bad tiny sites and packed out.
Could barely fit a tent and gazebo.
Had to park the boat about 1km.
Dont stay here if your boating it sucks

Staff need to understand SERVICE. Stood there like a stale bottle of piss for 4-5 minutes while staff didn't even acknowledge I was there. And I didn't wear my Harry Potter cloak. Walked out. Hope other people spent enogh to cover your wages, but you don't deserve a wage in the service industry if you DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT SERVICE MEANS. What a SHAME. Print this review!!!

The staff are friendly enough but the groundsmen work extremely hard
Very small sites but they were kind enough to move us to a more suitable site
For such a large caravan park there is no night time security for noisy rude campers

Very nice place to camp near a wonderful beach, amenities were really clean, nice swimming pool. I really recommend this campsite for a peaceful stay !
Just one BIG PROBLEM : The staff at the reception !! The worst welcome I've ever received ! The new girl and another girl were kind and very helpful but the blonde woman with glasses (seems to be the front office manager) was not kind and not friendly AT ALL !!! Never smiling, agressive when she is speaking to you, unpleasant, you seem to be bothering her all the time, every bad adjective can correspond to describe her ! The worst receptionist I have ever seen (I work in hotel industry so I know what I'm talking about) What are you doing in tourism industry ?????You really need to change your job or go back to school to learn how to do it !! What a pity for this beautiful space..

Great spot, across the road from the beautiful and clear water. Play area for the kids. You will most likely find yourself spending more time near or in the water. Tbe cabins at the front have an amazing view and suitable for families as they can sleep six

Lovely campsite with some of the cleanest toilets and baths we have experienced on our west coast trip (south-north). However, prices are the absolute highest so far with 46 for an unpowered site.

Upon checking into the lodge section, the reception staff informed us that the booking was cancelled and we didn't have a room. This was not the fault of local staff but of head office and the booking system. The staff we very helpful in fixing this issue and after moving around a few things were able to get us checked in, so far so good, The walls between the units are very thin and in the morning you can hear the other guests talking and going about thier business, although i will say I prefer the lodge to camping. We have stayed here before and will be back again, Coral Bay itself is a great place to relax and also do heaps of diving or snorkel with great coral and sea life

Stayed in the one bedroom villa for $230 per night. The place was very clean and you get what you pay for with shampoo/soap to coffee provided. Definitely worth going for this option if you want a comfortable stay. On the downside, the service at reception is bad and very unfriendly so expect the worst. Check-in is at 7pm at the latest. If you want to go on the tours then you need to be there half an hour beforehand and the morning tours start at 10am. The Glass Bottom Boat Tour is worth checking out.

A great place to have a holiday. The heated pool is always good to get into during winter. An upgrade to the ablutions & camp kitchen would be appreciated. Some sites could definitely be improved in the unpowered area.

Great park spoilt by the allocation of sites, the management segregate the dog owners into a row or 2 in the park, at the moment the park is only about 50% occupied but all the dog owners have been squashed into one end of the row when there are at least 10 free sites In that row that they could be separated into. Animals react when they see others around! Spacing the vans our would solve this problem!! Not hard when there is so much spare space!!

amenities are terrible. continually cleaned I know but toilets etc are old & stained. staff great. position great. plenty of shady sites. but not much shade at beach, bring umbrella & get there early in heat.

Typical caravan park. Not fantastic for tent camping. Could do with more, and better kitchen facilities - was ok during our stay but I'd imagine it is a nightmare during peak periods. Be prepared to have any metal tent pegs severely corroded very quickly - the very salty and damp ground is hell on equipment. Bring some plastic sand pegs too since some of the site is quite loose sand. The unpowered sites at one end get shade in the morning but are baking the rest of the day so bring shade.

So there are two caravan parks in Coral Bay. One appears to cater towards older folk, and the other to families with children. Bayview has a pool, kids playgrounds and a large bouncy pillow.

It's a good park all things considered. You are able to check in late, unlike the other park which shuts you out at 8. Full stop.

The sites, we checked in in a van, are large, clean, tidy, have grass and are well maintained.

There is no fresh water on your site and although each site has its own tap, they recommend you don't connect up to it as its bore water. There is a bulk fresh water fill site, and you're apparently allowed 100ltrs free. after that its apparently 10 cents a litre.

The camp kitchen is open from 0530 to 2200. it's locked at all other times. The kitchen has one single fresh water tap, 4 gas burners which you sometimes have to queue to use, a couple of gas bbqs, appliances and a large 3 door glass fridge.

The bathrooms are old, mostly dirty, have very poor water pressure, DO NOT have fresh water and heavily infested with bugs at night. They are also unlocked at all times, own basically to the public. There are signs that say they are only to be used by residents. I'm sure that'll stop people.

There are notices posted around town inviting people to clean for 2 hours a day to gain free use of a site for that day. This probably explains the poor cleaning of the toilets.

The pool area is clean and tidy, although shade is scarce. There are sun beds for tanning.

The staff on the front desk are polite and generally helpful although dont ask where other families who may be part of your booking are situated. You won't be told.

You can book tours at the desk and receive a 10% discount off most.

Checkout is easy if you're on a site. There's nothing to do, not keys to hand in. All good!

Thanks for reading.

Great for the kids and awesome snorkeling. Campsite is a little cramped with people filling every corner of their own postage stamp of land. Ablutions are basic and old but reasonably clean for a site with this many people and a once a day clean. Campers kitchen is small and very basic for a site of this size. Overall its as expected for regional WA, expensive and could do with an update, but an awesome part of the country to see and explore. Happy travels, peace, out.

Stuff all shade. Chick at reception was rude. Rest of the staff are awesome. Had to pay for A Powered Site so we could have shade. Disability Toilet was way to far away, even though I'd asked to be close......
