This church really cares about every age group. It started bevausr of a large teen suicide rate, since it started it has grown thanks to the Lord. Some might be intimidated by the size, but it is so easy to get involved. From small groups to adventure goers, to mens/womens retreats, to children events. There is everything. I have heard few people say they feel as though the church runs on money. Yes well churches do that, if you welcomed yourself to one our visions nights you would see where the money, not just to us but mostly to outreach in other countries such as Cambodia and Kenya. This church is my home where i gave my life to Christ and where i grew in my faith. I hope y'all could make it your home too. Remember, a church is not a museum for the successful, but a hospital for the broken.
Ive been going since 2006. I have no regrets for calling this church home.. I thank God everyday for leading me there.
I've been struggling with how to share my viewpoints on where Bayside is heading as a church for a few months now but I finally felt equipt enough to write a review on them. I have attended Bayside pretty regularly for the past five years and while I've definitely seen the church go through it's share of ups and downs, I have loved being a member of this Christian community. I have made many great friends and my faith and maturity have grown greatly from the teachings they have provided and the community I've been a part of. No church is perfect, however something has changed in the past year with Bayside and the changes are not good.
Several red flags have come to my attention over the past year that concern me greatly and have seriously made me consider wanting to find a new church. For the most part, Bayside has always been a great expository verse by verse teaching church with their focus being on the Gospel and Word of God as well as serving the community. I have begun to see a dangerous trend though in their worship, the preaching styles lately, who they promote from the pulpit, and the topics of their weekly messages.
Bayside has "weekend" worship teams who are talented musicians but they choose generic contemporary worship music to sing each week. I am not saying they need to be writing their own music, but I wish they chose better worship songs. What I mean by that is for the most part, all Bayside sings is Hillsong songs. That is not bad in and of itself. Many Hillsong songs are biblical and come from a great heart of worship for the Lord. Bayside unfortunately has done more than just sing the songs of Hillsong. Several times, especially in the past year or so, Bayside has praised Hillsong church in their sermons as well. If you know anything about Hillsong as a church, you know why this is a problem. The Hillsong community of churches are word-of-faith humanistic Pentecostal ministries that preach primarily the prosperity gospel of health and wealth. This is false doctrine and so incredibly dangerous, especially for a church with such a large world-wide platform. Sin and repentance are barely ever preached from a Hillsong pulpit. I question the discernment of Bayside pastors when they support dangerous ministries like Hillsong. Recently as well, the worship team sang a Jesus Culture song. Stemming from Bethel church in Redding, California, Jesus Culture is false to the core. We as Christians should have nothing to do with their heresy. What we do when we promote their music is we tell people we support their ministries too (the Bible is very clear about how we should handle false teachers.) Unknowing new Christians will seek out where the songs came from and start adding the church podcasts to their phones or watching their sermons online and be fed false messages leading them away from the cross.
I can genuinely say that over the past five years Bayside has done an amazing job preaching God's word in interesting and convicting sermons each week.I've been feeling much less equipt lately though with the messages Bayside preaches. The messages are lukewarm and provide little in the way of growth or maturity for the Christain's life. I am noticing with each new sermon they preach, how much more they are starting to resemble the prosperity gospel.
Overall, I definitely think Bayside has solid Christians who love Jesus and want to grow their faith, but something dangerous is changing the church's focus in a bad way and I'd say if I had to recommend a church for a new believer or seasoned Christian alike, I'd say look somewhere else. Sadly I've seen Bayside grow into a church who cares more about attendance and making people feel good than tending to their flock and building up genuine believers. My best advice would be to test everything they do and say to Scripture. If you start seeing things not align with God's Word and heart, pray for the church and pray for wisdom and direction from the Lord on whether or not Bayside is a healthy fit for you as a Christian community.
Don't be intimidated by the size. This is the perhaps the warmest and most welcoming place I've ever been, and I was completely by myself when I first visited and started coming regularly. Whatever your life stage or interests, you are very likely to find a very approachable group to suit you ... and if you do not, just ask the first person who smiles at you and they'll likely point you in the direction of a good place to start.
Went Sunday night. Music was great. Sermon was good, though I felt like there was a million main points which was hard for me to focus on, but otherwise it seems like a good church. Just probably not somewhere I'd personally choose as a home church.
The experience was a Christmas show with the presence of the Holy Spirit. The music was great, as well as the message of keeping Jesus the center of our life. The experience was great and the Church was packed.
Sunday evening service was great. Worship music and message was awesome. We were impressed with an usher who assist us from the beginning to the end especially for the first timer.
Very good church... I really enjoy it and I appreciate the programs an organization that are attached to their Church.
I think there should be more encouragement with a little more diversity to make it that much more comfortable to attend.
I will remain a member because I loved it and I believe in the vision.
Thanks Bayside!
A bible centered church that provides excellent teaching. Senior pastors are amazing and you can feel the love of Christ there.
I moved to this area and have been looking for a New beginning and found Bayside and enjoyed the energy I'm going to love being here
I've grown up in this community and watched this church grow into a cult like structure, lead by power hungry and spiritually abusive people. There are so many wonderful people among the congregation, and they do so much good, but those leading them are the same people who would sabotage another congregation (of Christian faith, even the same sect) from renting a church for their services. This same congregation being lead by an individual and family that was once a big part of Bayside and very close friends with the same pastor who would turn around and sabotage their efforts to spread faith and unconditional love that this religion is meant to be all about. This in addition to the fact that Bayside employees are required to sign non-disclosure contracts, has to raise questions of their practices and conduct. I come just short of calling this place completely lost because I personally know a number of individuals who are good genuine people, who attend Bayside and do so much good for the community. However, how can a church expect to continue to be more than just about appearance if they aren't prepared to reflect on the sins taking place inside the church. It's not about punishment, but admission and rectifying. An abusive relationship that poses as the "perfect family" to the outside world is still nothing more than a destructive and abusive family, and a spiritually abusive system that looks perfect on the outside, but rots on the inside, is nothing more than the greatest sin against what faith and religion is meant to represent.
If you have a need it is taken care of here by people that will treat you like your long lost family they were waiting for
Found my church home here! Activities for all ages. Bible studies available most days and evenings. Huge church so make connections within small groups.
The Pastors are.all great down to earth people, great sermons are explained so we all understand what the bible is telling us. Worship is the strongest most emotionally attended I've ever been a part of. Bayside is my hone church now.
Been going to this church since I moved here from Pittsburgh, PA in 1994. Fellowship, compassion with a full understanding of the Bible taught by awesome and knowledgeable pastors. This church never seizes to amaze me. Thank you!
Awesome Passion for Christ! Bible Based and very active in the community.
I came here for thrive! This was the most amazing trip I've ever been on I was so blessed by the people there, the worship and the messages. Now I am thinking to apply to thrive for my pre recs to get closer to God! I definitely recommend
Bayside Church has "something for everyone." The things they do for our community, our society and internationally are nothing less than incredible. Yes, it costs money to make "s#$t" happen. There is a staff and they need to be paid. Big deal. Try running ANY organization without working capital. I recommend Bayside to anyone looking to improve their life. Blessed to be a member.
Breakaway 2018!
Theme: Welcome to the Jungle:))
Their Passover installation "Stations Of The Cross" was very powerful. Amazing spiritual experience for those who aren't spiritually dead.

I've been coming here for 6 years now, even before I moved here . All of the Pastors are great and the bible is explained in a way I can understand. It's not the ho hum gospel.
The spirit of love and forgiving and accepting others and loving them the way they are because you don't know their journey.. we all are searching for that unconditional love as God so
Loved Us!
I love it. The church just wrapped up Serve Day 2017. What an amazing Experience.
Best church EVER! Straight forward bible based teaching by real men who have real lives. Worship Spirit-led. Just try it, big yes, but through a plethora of small groups is made small and tight!
Great church great people. Very warm & inviting. Preachers are really good & funny. If you get a chance to her Lincoln Brewster perform grab it
I miss Bayside so much! Our family just moved out of state and through our search for a new church, we came to realize how much we miss Bayside....it's practically impossible to find another worship team that can come close to comparing to that of Bayside....or a pastor that can keep our attention and convict us in the way that any of the pastors at Bayside can. Bayside is truly blessed in so many ways....it's amazing how much God works through that church....and it's sad that we had to move away from it. I pray that we find another church that fills the void.....in the meantime, we are thankful for the Bayside app where we can watch sermons online!
I love my church. Come as you are we accept everyone!
I'm so beyond in love with all the leaders and followers at Bayside!! I'm submitting an application to not only work here, as I'm new to the area, thought grew up in Tracy...I am called to volunteer also... I truly love the series and messages, as well as witty humor. I hope to meet and encourage many people and join the journey of this ministry!!
