The Baxter is always a pleasant and professional theatre experience.

My most recent visit was under Level 1 lockdown regulations and it was no different.

All the necessary safety protocols are in place, right down to pens being sanitised before being offered to the next guest.

Undoubtedly the best indoor experience I've had since being able to attend events again.

We went to see a play about the life of Chris van Wyk. The play is worth a 4 star rating. However our jackets were damaged by wet paint on the premises. No warning signs. Staff were sarcastic and management denies responsibility for it.

Today was my first time. I really enjoyed myself. Everything about it was perfect, from the lighting to Amanda Black being a guest singer. I had the best time. This UCT boyfriend thing is working great wow.

Lovely setting. Very orderly and professional when going to watch a play. The surround sound is excellent and it's really nice that the seats are aligned upwards so no one's head is in the way of you enjoying the show. The bar is also very convenient. Serves slushies for the younger ones and tea or coffee for those who prefer that.

Always great shows wether drama or comedy, even ballet or dance .
I love all my experiences here.
The staff are always friendly and very helpful.
All the halls have comfortable sitting area, so you can enjoy every performance.
With exceptional sound and light, to add to every experience.
Baxter Theatre even has a great vegetarian and Halal restaurant, with a great bar.

Enjoyed the baroque concert. Excellent view at the stage.
But I have one problem: parking. Not enough. Although we came early. Had to park on the pavement in front of the theatre. And then being harrassed by fake parking attendant for money.

I love the Baxter. The support for performers visiting productions is lovely and highly competent. The zabalaza was a treat for my learners. They cover a very wide range of artistic and educational activities. The empty star was on the limited catering.

Watched Aunty Merle it's a girl. It was by far one of the best comedy productions I have seen. I was recommending everyone I know to go and see it. I would have even watched it again, that's how much I loved it.

Fantastic Theatre!!! One feels so involved, as a result of proximity to the stage. Toilets on 1st and 2nd tiers need to be signboarded/ advertised better. Bottom toilet is "flooded" with people. However, great experience at Mark Lottering show yesterday. Excellent and yet under-rated. It is probably one of the best shows to hit the South African stage.
