Staff isn t always very happy or friendly. Price seems to always be changing for a small cup of coffee. Good coffee though!

Went here for a coffee date and was not disappointed. It's in a smaller warehouse-type space, but feels well laid out. There's different types of art on the wall, with a flea market shelf alone the far side with odd items for sale. My iced macchiato came out perfectly and with little wait time despite being on a Saturday morning. Students lined the high-top tables with books and laptops plugged in. Will definitely return.

The coffee is delicious, perfect temperature, roast, and flavor. Their homemade vanilla syrup has vanilla bean specks in it and is insanely smooth. Sweet jesus I could live off that stuff. Bundle up if it's cold, it's takeout

Freshly roasted in house coffee that tastes great. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The space is quiet and open.

Great service! I rarely see coffee art on my soy latte because it's not easy to make as milk. The coffee cake was delicious and perfect for my coffee.

Just need a small sign or something out on the sidewalk so drivers on St.John know your a coffee shop. Still looks like the old liquor store from my drivers seat heading west on St. Johns. Best of luck!

The cold brew is above average and the atmosphere that is built in an old liquor store is very good... it's too bad they don't have outside seating but it is understandable due to the available space... also selling cold drinks such as mexican coke and water would be nice

The barista I met was very welcoming and genuine! Some people get intimidated when going into new places and have no idea how or what to order, but no need to worry here! He made me an ice latte with lavender syrup which I thought was neat and delicious. Atmosphere is very calm.

Incredible. I'm not a huge fan of fruity coffee but barrett's really did it right. I've only had the black coffee so far but it was amazing. The best coffee in austin I've tried so far.

Barrett's is amazing - friendly and knowledgable service, my go to local spot for beans and coldbrew. If you are ever visiting in Austin, check it out and grab some beans to take home. They roast in house and is always fresh, the smell of their fresh ground coffee (Mexico is my favorite) is epic.

Great neighborhood staple with a steady stream of usual customers. Despite the finicky wifi, a good place to work - it's fairly quiet and welcoming. Arrive early for tacos - on either corn or flour. The coffee is ever rotating which leads to some inconsistency in quality of brew - but keeps it interesting. Currently they have a kenya that makes a surprisingly easy-drinking espresso.

I've been buying my beans from Barrett's for over a year now and never been disappointed. The staff are great, very friendly and knowledge. They have good reccomendations and a nice rotation of speciality selections, although the house blend is also fantastic (my preference being the slightly lighter St. Drogo version). The complimentary coffee you get with a bag of beans means they are the same price you'd pay for a bag in the supermarket. The barisstas make a excellent handcrafted drinks and they always have little pup treats if you bring your furry friend. Definitely support your local coffee shop if you live nearby and worth the drive if you're not.

Barrett s has the best coffee I ve ever had. Usually I hate espresso shots but theirs are delicious. I think they should be more well known around the world. It s truly exceptional coffee that makes satisfying my caffeine fix feel like a fine dining experience. They have wonderful service too! The delivery option is super fast inside Austin. If anyone at Barret s reads this, to get some sort of rewards program because I ve spent close to a grand on your coffee. Still worth it, but can t hurt to ask.

I've been to Barrett's twice now, and both times I got an amazing cup of coffee within a well-lit, comfortable, and welcoming space that has character to it. The coffee alone is worth visiting here, but the space being cool adds to the overall experience.

Most delicious Mocha, and very quickly prepared! I love the atmosphere too. It's a spacious and quiet place to focus. The bar is nice a wide for reading the paper without crowding your neighbor. Plus they have "seasonal" rice crispy treats! Heh heh.

This is a small shop with great coffee and nice staff. A good place to do work or get coffee to go.

Exceptional espresso and friendly staff. My husband gets a double espresso with a splash of hot water. I love their house made syrups which are very unique and make a very special latte any way you like. When our espresso maker is on the fritz like it was this morning it s not quite as annoying because we can hop over to Barrett s for an unplanned treat.

Limited menu, they may be fairly new, but coffee was great, had a good breakfast taco and the musical selection was excellent

Top tier coffee place. Baristas have all been excellent and put a lot of care into each drink. As a result, this place isn't fast. Leave time!

Good cup of coffee, but wasn t ready to wait that long for it. They may have been understaffed too, but their COVID precautions really slowed down service. I was here two days in a row with similar waits. Friendly service.

Very cool and casual low-key coffee roasters. Great service and tasty espresso of high quality. Go and see them roasting in the same room you order in, it's neat.

Only tried americano, Nicaraguan beans. Was a bit too cool temperature and too acidic. Nice place to hang out. Roasting onsite, visible, which is neat. Barista was very nice.

This was nice, the set up doesn't really allow for ease of ordering, but makes sense due to the pandemic. The parking lot isn't easily exited hence the 4*

I'm sorry if other coffee places that I visit recognize me, but this is my favorite coffee spot. I also buy their beens and have them grinded for espresso.

The barista is a great conversationalist. The moment you walk in you know you walked into somewhere good by the smell. I was able to get a cappuccino in less than 2 minutes from the time i walked in to the time i walked out. Very tasty coffee. They also sell breakfast tacos but they go fast (probably because they're really good)

Great coffee, nice atmosphere. Only downside is that parking is occasionally in short supply.

Very cozy and clean. It is nice with sun shines coming inside the shop. The latte was great. One thing to say though. Latte had too little taste of espresso, latte art was on point but needs to adjust amount of the espresso or use the darker roast.

This has become our go to place for buying our coffee beans every week. Their roasted coffee is top notch and they are very friendly every time I come in.
