Not a very Customer friendly place anymore. This book store has changed drastically in the last year for the worse. They close early (9pm). They harass you in the store to leave via loud speaker and their workers. The magazine section is a mess and they no longer carry many titles. The Caffee area seating is often taken up by non paying customers who bring in good from outside eateries. And the tables are dirty. No longer a fav
place to go.

Great selection and they care about the community. Dayna is very helpful. The non profit teen homeless shelter program, Visions and Pathways, is having a gift wrapping fundraiser there this Saturday 9:30-2:30. Come join us!!!

With so many purchases being done online, it's nice to have a location to go to to select a book the old-fashioned way. Barnes and Noble offer you the opportunity to take your time and get to see all of the books based on the category of interest that you have. In addition, they offer a great opportunity to sit and talk to other avid book readers and have a nice snack while you're at it. When you take the time, you realize that you can spend hours just thumbing through books that you might find interesting. Take the time and visit your local Barnes and Noble bookstore. It's definitely worth it.

I was at the store looking for an Ultraman Funko Pop that was being sold on Friday, Nov 30th 2018. This pop wasn't just the run of the mill store exclusive, it was shared from a local convention that only B&N stores would get other than the convention. I checked online that the Somerville Circle location was still showing stock. 2 nice ladies helped me look for it, but then a third one brought out 3 and told me all were reserved. I tried to reserve it online but I was never given the option. She didn't seem to care about me (third person who brought out the 3 pops), I noticed that the piece of paper she had on the 3 pops a number 3 on them. I went back to the same person and complained that the limit on the Funko pop was 2 per person... she claimed that all 3 were separate holds. An exclusive item like this should be first come first serve, many retail stores have a no holds policy for exclusive items (especially for shared exclusives). I use to love coming to this location, but this experience has truly soured my opinion and I doubt I will go back again.

This place has the worst customer service I have ever seen. I ordered a book on 5\26 and received it 6\12. It does not take two weeks to pick an order and ship it. This company is based in the USA. With that being said I have received packages from China that came to me quickly. Than when they finally respond to an email it is un-readable and makes no sense when you read it. If I could have gave them a 0 star I would have. Do not waste your time with them!

Of course a book store, but much more in this world where all the fun stores are turning online. It's nice to go here which has a coffee shop inside and a variety of items from books for adult readers to kids and everything in between, even cool games and toys you don't see anyplace else.

Staff are extremely helpful and the bargain book prices are hard to beat. I'm a big fan of the B&N Classics, which are really priced well for classic books. Cafe staff are also very nice and the cookies are very yummy. Overheard an observation that another customer said aloud, there are very few seats in the actual bookstore to sit while browsing. It's a good point.

Visited here a couple of times for some books that I could not get digitally. Overall staff is very friendly and place is very clean. Love that they have a Starbucks on premise where you can lounge and read.

This is a great store. The staff has always been knowledgeable. The prices are better on Amazon, but it helps if you have a membership card. Plus sometimes you just want to see the books in person, hold them before buying.

The kids section was a little messier than i expected. Looked like books hadn't been picked up all day but maybe just some rude customers made a bigger mess than most. I wish they would do some kind of price matching (Ive been a fan of this chain for 20+ years and actually worked here), its hard to buy books here when Amazon is consistently several dollars cheaper per title. This is a huge chain not even a "local shop" where i wouldn't mind spending a little more to support the owners

it s a really good and relaxing place, i love coming here and spend a fair amount of time looking at some interesting book, and i love the smell of when you come inside the store but the only downside are the cashiers are a little rude but other than that it s all good.
