Love BandN. Love seeing and being among their stacks and stacks of books. Sorry to see their falling image and missing simple steps that could strengthen their concept and make them profitable. A shame.

An employee basically told all of the cafe patrons that we had to leave because of a 30 minute limit. Its not like anyone was waiting for the tables because if that was the case I could understand. Will take my business to Starbucks instead as they don't care how long you stay.

It's the holiday season and you're closing at 9pm on a Friday night?! Customers aren't allowed to use computers to look up literature in the store (and of course not only trying to find an associate but a friendly one to help you is impossible)?! Unfortunately they're not Borders. I loved and miss Borders. Borders always had a larger and better selection of reading materials that I'm interested in. B&N will never be the warm and friendly bookstore Borders was.

I stopped by for various cooking magazines and they're always in stock. Also, I check out their sale section and picked up a cooking book for over 50%off! Not that I need anymore, but hey, great price.

I hadn't been to Barnes and Noble in ages. I am a workaholic. The idea of being able to walk around a bookstore during the pandemic was peaking my interests. It was calm, serene, with the little squeals of delightful children. The lines were not long and it brought joy to me.
This was definitely my happy place.

Very nice store with a Starbucks onsite. The store has a very warm and inviting feel and though usually crowded it's has a decent amount of seating. The staff is generally accommodating and friendly.

Horrible checkout experience. My 3-year old found a stuffed duck without a tag. Apparently it was part of a set, but the rest was nowhere to be found. The poor cashier kept calling some woman named "Cheryl" for help, as well as backup cashiers (as he was the lone employee ringing customers). No response to either for +15 minutes. Once Cheryl could be bothered to help, the word was the duck could not be purchased separately; I'd need to pay $19.95 for set, even though only the duck part could be found. All of this was done via walkie; no one came to discuss personally. Meanwhile my son keeps asking why he can't have the duck. Paid the money, left other items I had without buying.

-A bit crowded, but after a few minutes you'll ease in (July 4 afternoon - libraries closed today).
-i couldn't use membership for 10% discount because I signed up for membership while in line. Do it sooner.
-Nice deals on the lil tables, but the selections are a bit limited
- keep in mind, the store is organized to encourage browsing - if you go with a list of authors in mind, it may bring you all over the store. Visit the store to find new things!!
-Limited Spanish language section. Translated works shelved alongside those initially written in Spanish. Some Spanish language (fiction) works are shelved alongside their English translation in the more expanded fiction aisles.

Heading to B&N always makes me feel great. They have a consistent atmosphere and this store definitely has that friendly/helpful atmosphere. The people that work there also have cool suggestions all the time!
