Nice, you pass beautiful parts of the city, the captain of the boat gave enough information about the city and the buildings we passed.
Great boat ride not expensive very informative great tour guide with a sense of humour. Definitely worth it
The guide spoke German very well and told us a lot about the history of the city. The boat tour lasted 50 minutes and was very nice.
Too bad for the weather, boat discovery, but if it rains they also give you the umbrella, guide in French and English, a brochure informs you of the most interesting points to visit in this beautiful city. Spectacular channels that separate the houses and beautiful churches, you can also admire from the water of the river the fantastic castle of the counts of flandes that I recommend to visit, even here, unfortunately, there is no guide in Italian. A trip of about an hour with the boat very interesting to discover the beauties of this beautiful city of Belgium.
Nice walk but the speakers sounded terrible and you could barely hear what the guide had
Nice trip on the canal, 50 minutes for 7,50 is totally worth it. The guide was interesting and funny, and the comments were in three languages. I recommend.
Pleasant boat trip of + -45 min. Relatively cheap, 7.5 euros. Explanation in Dutch, French and English. Would not recommend it in bad weather.
Also got scammed by the women at the casher. We only need to buy one ticket (the other ticket was covered by city card), but she still charged money for two. I realized it on the boat and came back to ask for money back. Luckily I got it back...
Nearly 1 hour visit on the canals of Gent for 7,5 . Great guide as well, speaks English and French. A must for any Gent visit.
Best thing ever. If you have the day or just an hour in Antwerpen, you should definitely do a tour boat. It takes +- 40 min, it's 7,50 euros and it shows you Gent like you will never see it. Our guide spoke 3 languages and was super nice and funny. You won't be disappointed!
It was OK and definitely worth it for the ride itself, but a little expensive for the duration (40 minutes).
Nice boat trip but the product placement was shockingly high. The trip itself takes 40 minutes together and you get to see most of Ghent's highlights, only with that you also get all "tips" about "well-known" restaurants / hotels / bars. Not at all interesting to me.
I liked the boat trip. The cost is 10 euros. The ticket price includes a glass of champagne. Travel time is 40 minutes. I recommend it!
A very nice walk on the Gent canals A beautiful view of the monuments The staff very friendly and it is not expensive
(Detailed review below) Ambience - 4/5 Cost - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Ambience - The boat is spacious and comfortable (padded seats). Simple, no frills, open air boat ride. Umbrellas are available should the weather be unkind. There are seats along both sides of the boat as well as down the middle. Accessibility - The boats are not built for those with difficulty in movements so unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users. If you re on a crutch/walking stick, it might be okay but there s a big step down from the dock into the boat so just check that you re okay with that first. Cost - I like boat trips so I may be a bit biased but I think this is worth the money. A great time on the boat and just lovely to be able to see Gent from a different perspective. Tip - Sit along the sides (any would do as what you miss on the forward trip, you ll see on the return trip) or better still get a seat right at the front, closest to the driver for unobscured views. Also, the ticket counter is easily spotted with it s huge bright yellow umbrellas just along the bridge. Service - Great fun. Staff/driver were really friendly and knowledgeable; gave us a lot of info on Gent and pointing out interesting stuff along the way that we may not have naturally spotted. The route is pretty okay. It passes the castle and several lovely areas. Learned a lot from the trip.
A boring guide who does not speak English well. Nothing special.
Must do! 40 min with nice and funny facts. Not sure though which boat companies are which :) We had the tour for 7 euros per person and it was really worth it.
Gent from a different perspective. Watching the city from the level of the canals, with an interesting guide narrative worth recommending.
The best boat ride I ever had touring a city as spectacular as this one.. Gent!
Great guides, great tour, a fantastic experience all the way! Would definitely recommend!
Normal boat-tour. It was hard to catch english commentary, because our guide was switching between 5 languages (respect to him). I dont know if there is that possibility, bud for example "english/dutch only" tour will be more informative.
One of the best ways to get to know this place is through this Boat Tour, during the ride they tell you the story of how Ghent has evolved from its beginnings to the present day, all with a great view and curious facts of the guide of the ride. 100% recommended
Good service and very nice driver. An excursion to the Ghent canals is worthwhile.
Would not recommend. Take one of the thirty minute tours instead. More or less same route. Terrible guide. Talks the whole tour, very slowly, and has to stop the boat to finish the information speeches. Boat is driving slower than any other vessel we passed... All of this despite having only three languages going andto top it off the English version being less than ten percent of the total time spent talking... The 45 minute tour was not only five minutes delayed because the guide had to eat an impromptu lunch. Also ended up taking one hour...
Wonderful rental company for many tourists, exploring the Kuip van Gent !!!
It's wonderful to see the lifestyle here in the beautiful landscape.
Compared to the one in Brugges it doesn't worth the money. The captain almost forced us to tip, didn't liked the attitude. If you decide to do the ride try it early in the morning
I expected the boat trip shorter. However, it went back and forth through the rivers several times. Recommended if you want to hear some facts about the city. The guide spoke many languages and took the time to tell about Ghent.
A friend of mine just removed his mask for a second to eat something as it was lunch time and the driver used words like throw you away . Even though the boat tour was OK (in comparison to the one in Brugge which is much better), the whole experience was ruined. Rude fellows.
