Barcelona Housing Service for Students Review

I have been staying in one of the Balmes 45 apartments and I have loved the experience, I did not expect to stay in a place as nice as this, it has exceeded my expectations. Recommended 100%

I really have felt that they have been by my side during the difficult time of the Covid-19, offering flexibility and support in the face of so much uncertainty. If you are looking for a room in Barcelona, in my opinion they are the best, serious and reliable. Thank you!

The WORST agency in all of Barcelona. I lived with them for 9 months and this is what I experienced:

1. Do you want to pay more than 700 euros for a 12m2 room in a flat with 6 other people?
2. Do you want to not have WIFI for multiple months?
3. Do you want to shower with cold water all throughout summer AND winter?
4. Do you want to never sleep because there are parties all the time?
5. Do you want your comments and concerns to never be heard?
6. Do you want the agency to never reply your emails and calls? ONLY TO ASK FOR MONEY
7. Do you want everything in the flat to be broken, cheap from IKEA, broken balcony doors, and smell cigarettes every day?
8. Do you want to agree to a BUNCH of rules which are ALL LIES.
9. Do you want them to move you from your room last minute to another flat and room just so they can make money?
10. Do you want to not get your deposit back?!

If you answer no to at least one of these, THEN DO NOT LIVE WITH BCN DESIGN FLATS PLEASE. I cant emphasize enough how awful they were.

Do not come to Barcelona Student Housing. The website seems very legitimate because of its design and features (blog, rates, reservation form) But I do not believe this company is legitimate. I've had several email transactions with them, it seems like they were a nice staff, but when you ask questions about how much rent is and to show you documentation/contract they ghost you. Do not fall for a nice website. They have been around for a couple of years, but does not have a single review seems sketchy. All they want is your deposit! Do not send. Also they have another website called Barcelona design flats that list some of the same apartments with totally different price points. One apartment was 535, while the same apartment on the other website was 345 euros I almost got fooled being an American International student looking for an apartment. BEWARE, Barcelona is known for housing scams. Do not send deposit to an untrusted company. Look at reviews and do your research. Hopes this helps

Is a gotcha. Very expensive rentals and the worst are the conditions. They only benefit them and even skip them if they want. Halfway through they change my floor without my permission because they want to. They ignore emails or calls. I will never make a contract with them again or recommend it. Regrettable.

Same as the other review, I called these guys several times and they seem nice on the phone but the emails they send you are very sketchy. I believe they are a scam.

I want to highlight the personal treatment of the avant-garde team, they offered me a flat that met my expectations and any problem I had resolved it at the time. A 10

It s the worst experience in Barcelona so far, bad services and overpriced rents.

And the conditions is just ridiculous! If I arrived on Sep 29 they charge me for the whole month?!!!

Not to mention there slow response and disrespect of time.

If I have a negative star I will give them for sure.

Clearly disappointed, terrible customer service, overpriced, rude
I have to insist on the customer service: taking days to answer one e-mail (or never answering at all), never answering the phone, not speaking English (therefore a huge language barrier)
We did not have hot water or heating for days in winter
I do not recommend staying there, wasting your money and your time

Highly recommended, especially the support given to students
