Had a wonderful evening with family. Wagon ride up the road through beautiful country to the dinner tent. The entertainment was great listening to the crew enjoying what they do and it showed.

The staff and owners go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. Great precautions were made to assure COVID safety measures were met. I have a heart and respiratory condition They made me feel so comfortable without calling attention to me. Every employee I saw had a smile. We had a great time and would recommend this for anyone. Well worth the money

Our family of 17 (6 months - 65 years) enjoyed our evening here. The staff was WONDERFUL! Our driver was awesome and everyone else was so friendly and helpful! Great night for the family!

We took our family of five to the chuckwagon cookout in June. The cookout is very easy to access from downtown Jackson (less than a mile), which is much better than the other cookouts in the area. We liked that we could do an actual covered wagon ride, and the wagon hand told fun and interesting stories. The ride took about 20 minutes, and the dinner lasted around an hour. We enjoyed the music and show, and the food was plentiful though about as good as one could expect for a crowd.

It was a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating- my husband is handicapped they were right there at all times to help us and make sure we did not want for anything. The food was really good and the show was fun and entertaining. Would definitely do it again.

This was my first time doing Bar T 5 with my family. And I have to say it was a blast. For me and my wife it only cost 92 dollars that includes dinner and show. Not a bad deal. I thought it would cost more. The staff was friendly and kind. The head man Chris was excellent. I was surprised to find the wagon drivers are all college students around my age. The wagon ride was fun too and includes a pre show of Indians and a mountain man. The food is Dutch oven style chicken and beef, it was really amazing. Desert was even better. The meal is homely and simple but very delicious. The music is fun too, makes you want to get up and clap and dance. I could tell that the staff really cares about their customers and their comfort. This is also family friendly, no alcohol or drinking. If you have kids they will be entertained I guarantee it. Bar T 5 is a fun family experience you won't want to miss in Jackson. Five golden western stars.

This place is the only reservation I made that didn t extend any courtesy or care when the pandemic came into the picture. Other reservations for lodging and food and drink dropped me a line to either ask if my plans had changed, or to assure me they were doing everything possible to ensure my safety and pleasant experience. The Bar T 5 people they just emailed a receipt when they charged my credit card.
Upon arriving, the hostess told me that, since I had made a reservation through central reservations I had not paid the tip. I could either pay the cashier or the driver. Really? An extorted tip. I think not.
The greeting from the owner included sarcastic remarks about wearing a mask. Not okay. I have lost a friend and family member to COVID-19 and find the flippant attitude of a business owner entirely inappropriate.
The wagon ride was the bright spot. Our team driver was knowledgeable and well trained. The horse team was calm and steady.
This place uses national forest for their venue. Not sure how I feel about that. Knowing my tax dollars are supporting their private enterprise does not give me warm and fuzzy feelings.
The food was terrible. It didn t help that, due to the pandemic, we were handed styrofoam takeaway containers. No opportunity to select what we wanted. The beef was virtually unrecognizable. The chicken swimming in sauce, the corn cooked to death. And the signature beans? What is that flavor? Pineapple? Then there were our assigned servers . Another opportunity to extort tips. We weren t keen on the all you can eat aspect, for obvious reasons. I gave Rex, our server, a $3 tip for two styrofoam cups of brown water that was advertised as coffee. Rex seemed disappointed. I know I was.
The music started with some promise. The musicians were good. Professional quality performance. But when the set ended thanking our veterans with a song that seemed to credit them with helping God make the birds sing, I was over it.
Nope. Just don t do it. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

The family that owns the Bar T 5 loves what they do and puts their heart and soul into it and it shows. The food is good and they put on an extremely campy show for the whole family. The horses are well trained and will run up along side the covered wagons so your little kids can pet them. The children in our wagon even got a chance to drive the wagons down the mountain.
Pro Tip: The wagons kick up a ton of dust so take some benadryl if you are allergic.

We took guests from Northern California and they loved it! They couldn't believe all the personal attention they were getting from the crew and how fun the wagon ride, the meal and show was. They used two of their older children in the show and the mother was laughing so hard that she had tears in her eyes. We have never had a bad experience over the many years we have attended. They also provide good summer jobs for college young men and women in the surrounding area.

There were 5 people in our group; my husband, 2 sons, my mom and myself. We are COVID conscious especially my mom who is older. I am especially writing this review because of that. We were greeted at the entrance to the parking lot by a young man wearing a bandanna as his mask (it is a wagon train after all and that is an acceptable mask. He made sure we had reservations. The young ladies directed us in the parking lot, wearing masks. They instructed us to sit in the open air shelter but please distance from other groups. While waiting for the wagon train to begin. We SAW them washing down the wagon seats and handles to get on the wagon. The owner greeted us, wearing a mask and said any time anyone was close to us they would wear a mask. And, we needed to do the same. Our family of 5 was assigned to sit at the front of the wagon. Another couple was assigned to the back of the wagon. (Normally I m guessing this wagon could have held 20 people.) Our driver wore a mask and she was great at answering all our questions while driving. (Watch out for the bad guys as my boys called them, wearing bandanna masks too.)
Dinner: We had our own table assigned, even the other couple on our wagon had their own table. The meals were in to go containers and we were dismissed one table at a time to get our dinners and drinks so we still could see the pots of food cooking and have a little feel of being at a wagon train meal. Then we had a server wearing a mask who truly brought us as many drink and extra meals as our table or another table wanted. After dinner we were asked to throw our own trash away and that was no problem either. Then came the show! Wow! It was fun, it was great, and the fiddle player...she was the best!!! (Sorry guys! Lol) And the mountain man was great too!
After the show, we were told a second wagon train had arrived. If we could line up and stay 6 feet apart and to the right they would finish disinfecting the wagons to take us back down the mountain. The other wagon train folks coming in for dinner were told the same thing only wait for the servers to disinfecting the tables before they sat down. How much more COVID aware could they have been? To the reviewer who said no regard for COVID, you obviously did not look around as we saw and experienced what they were doing.
The chicken was amazing as that s what I ate (my husband is a beef type of guy), plenty of food and drink refills! The beans and dessert were a favorite too. Very talented musicians! It was a fun experience and I would recommend this to others visiting the area. The owner that we met was personable and you could tell he & his wife do this with their whole heart! It is not just a business but a passion for them. Thanks for a family memory we will never forget! Thanks for being open and doing all you can for us during COVID!

The Bar T 5 is a must do is if you are spending any time in the Jackson area. Great food and super fun covered wagon trip and show with the perfect blend of sincere and heartfelt respect to heritage and cheesy fun. Good humor, but still family friendly. I love seeing those beautiful draft horse wagon teams do their work as we travel up a beautiful canyon; for me, that alone is worth the price of admission. The folks who run and work at the Bar T 5 are the best, very engaging and fun. If the Bar T 5 is sold out, the Bar J Wranglers is also great, although they don't have the wagon ride with the horses that I love.

My wife and I visited tonight (23 Sept 2020). All the staff were very friendly. The facility was clean and the owner(?), Chris, was fun and entertaining. The ride up the canyon was fun. The carriages had very few people in them (thank you Covid). The leaves started turning color this week and made for a beautiful ride. The pavilion where we ate was clean and well organized. Again, friendly staff. It was kind of odd getting a pre-packaged meal (thanks Covid), but the food was great. You do have to ask fairly quickly if you want seconds on food. The music was fun and the dialogue between the performers a bit cheesy, but fun. As others have commented, Olivia rocked her fiddle. Lastly, I was happily surprised they performed How Great Thou Art . God bless us all...and thank you Bar T-5 for a nice evening.

We really had a terrific time at Bar T5 on our trip to Jackson a few weeks ago. The Ranch / meeting place is clean and nicely appointed and partly built out of historic homes, the gift shop showcases art made by the staff (among the normal types of things).
There were plenty of staff to help with all details, and they were very attentive with table clearing, pouring drinks, etc. The food was perfectly tasty and plentiful, although secondary to the rest of the experience.
The carraige ride up into the hills was peaceful and the dining venue was great. The show was thoroughly enjoyable and they put a ton of effort into everything.
Not something that I would do on each visit, but definitely recommended for your family.

Last week my family kicked off our Jackson Hole vacation with a visit to the Bar T5. It was an amazing evening with great weather, interesting history, wonderful scenery, an excellent meal with exceptional service, and a first-class musical show.

Even with the added challenges of social distancing requirements and COVID-19 precautions, they were organized, efficient and very gracious. I felt safe and thoroughly enjoyed my evening with their team.

I highly recommend a visit to the Bar T5 for families or individuals of any age. You won t be disappointed!!!

It was a great experience. We brought our two daughters, who loved it. Our stage coach driver Davis was very friendly and answered all of our questions, he made the girls feel like they were part of the adventure. The food and entertainment were good!

Great dinner and show! The staff was super delightful, the food was good and the wagon drivers handled their teams expertly. The show was definitely the highlight of the evening, engaging, funny, and very entertaining. I highly recommend anyone passing through Jackson to take the time for this place.

Our three children, ages nine, seven, and five loved this. It was a well-done evening. The kids loved riding in the covered wagons, the food was good and there was plenty of it, and the western music after dinner was excellent, especially the fiddle player. We would highly recommend this event.

Superb evening with traditional meal and beautiful musical and humorous show. To see and to see again with pleasure ... beautiful family which it seems will stop definitively at the end of September 2017.
I would like to find you.
A French thank you for these good times

We came as a group of 6 ages ranged from 18 month to mid 50 s, fun for all ages. The horses were beautiful, the wagon ride had pretty views and we did see deer. The stories were interesting and funny. The food was all you can eat, but the plates were full from the first go around, so not many people went for round two. The food line was very organized and the people moved thru it very fast without feeling rushed or herded. The staff made sure to talk and mingle with every person. An idea of how courteous the staff was, my daughter had our granddaughter Savannah Rose when the owner walked up to mingle he motioned for someone to make my daughter a plate and my granddaughter. So she could rest and not worry about who was going to wait with the baby. I have never experienced such courtesy and fore thought at a paid event. Everything was very organized. A lot of thought was put into this experience, most likely from people who also like to be comfortable and care free!!! It was perfect!!

Fun evening and everyone at the Bar T5 was great. I rated it 4 stars for the entertainment value. However, the food is only 2 or possibly 3 stars at the most. Go for the fun, not for the food. If you don't eat meat or chicken there are no vegetarian options. Also, no wine or alcohol.

I quite enjoyed the mountain atmosphere and delicious food, and my son loved being near the horses. This outfit was highly organized and really cared a lot about the entire experience.

With that said, I must say that I was highly offended by their racist and inhumane portrayal of "Indians". As a registered member of the Navajo Nation I was so embarrassed and saddened that the tour guides consistently talked about shooting the "Indians", implied they were violent, and essentially demonized an entire culture. I heard several children throughout the experience remark about killing Indians and being afraid of them after the so-called show.

I am fully aware that Cowboys and "Indians" have colorful past but this portrayal was inaccurate, and frankly in bad taste. I would hope that in this day in age where racial tensions are at a breaking point that we can overcome these outdated and antiquated portrayals of Native Americans.

I will not be coming back to this and will not recommend it to friends.

Great experience!! Loved the wagon ride and the music. The food was good, especially the beans. I know things were a little different because of covid 19. But they made it work. It was great fun how they included the audience in the show. I would highly recommend Bar T 5.

One of the best evenings spent during a tour. Well organized, friendly and attentive to everyone's needs. Great entertainment especially Madison on the violin. Recommend this evening to anyone visiting Jackson. Food and drink plentiful and great tasting. The 4 mile round trip in our wagon was pulled by Jack and Gill, beautiful horses; as they all are and well loved and looked after. Mason also made the experience. Well done all.

Great family activity, our kids enjoyed the entire experience. The wagon ride was dusty, but still interesting. The food was as good as can be expected for a meal prepared in large quantities. Chris, the host and MC was a little difficult to understand at times, that was the only negative thing. The star of the show was the violin player, our two favorite songs were the Devil went down to Georgia and Orange Blossom special. Super friendly staff, very good evening.

A lot of fun. Before boarding wagons, there was ample opportunity to converse with the young people who made up the bulk of the staff. They were all very gregarious and good conversationalists. After boarding the wagons which were drawn by two-horse teams, we traveled for about 15 minutes to a pavilion where we would dine. Along the way, we met a character in the show ( a "mountain man") and we're harassed by a couple of folks dressed as Native Americans (all part of the show). At the pavilion we ate simple, honest fare (BBQ chicken, beans, cob corn, salad, roast beef) which was all tasty and all you could eat. Then followed a musical show by four of the staff (who were surprisingly talented) and another appearance of the marauding Native Americans and the mountain man. All in all, it was a nice experience.

I highly recommend it for a nice meal and show.

This Mormon run activity is great the chuck wagon ride sets the tone the meal is an all you can eat affair with good basic food. Provided you don't picked out of the audience the after dinner show is fun.
