Great vibe, expensive drinks, and friendly staff. People are mostly standing around barrels drinking, eating, and talking. it feels like a cocktail party. I do find myself in this bar once in a while grabbing a drink with friends.

We enjoyed it so much. The tapas bar atmosphere is great. Very nice staff and incredibly good food. We had a sweetbread bocadillo, papas y chorizo, croquetas, cafe raval, spritz and cheesecake. Everything simply delicious.

It was just "okay". Too much hype. The food was average at best, it was a forgettable experience. The service was nothing special either. Go elsewhere if you are expecting great food and service.

What isn't to love about this place? Fantastic donuts!!!! The homemade tonic that this bar pairs with the gin is on point. The friendly staff who talked to the girl by herself, and seemed genuinely interested in what she had to say (that was me). Oh and the unique wooden decor is gorgeous! Highly recommend.

Not enough chairs!!

Patrons beware, you should come with a camping chair if you want to spend some time here and be comfortable, this place is more like a CrossFit gym that makes you squat/stand for hours on end and serves alcohol... brutal

Wonderful as always. Love this spot. Service and food are top notch. If you haven't been, you should go. I suggest a weekday afternoon if you can swing it. Go feast and have a nice glass of wine or a cocktail. Their house coffee is also amazing.

Bar Raval is an upscale bar in the bustling Bathurst and college area. It is one among many but definitely a unique experience unlike anything else.

First kudos to their business acumen on setting up a tarp waiting area where you can be warm and socialize and order food/drinks while you wait to get into the main bar. Double revenue and allow customers to get a head start on their experience.

The main bar is magnificent with a modern wood "bar" all around the main space. If you're not sitting at the main bar then you have to stand and enjoy your drinks and tapas. Which were great for the most part. Some items left something to be desired. The cheese item was literally cubes of cheese on a small plate, no seasoning or anything. But the chicken with chorizo was epic.

Overall a fantastic experience if you want to dress up and enjoy a curated unique experience. Maybe not exactly a casual weekend bar. Something a bit more special.

Beautiful space, great cocktails, really like their vermouth list. Food is a bit rich but flavourful. Of course, you're also paying a premium to be at a hyped spot, so be prepared to spend, and likely to wait for your spot. It's a cafe/restaurant so you can go early for pastries and coffee, or get tapas/pintxos for snack/lunch/dinner. You can linger, or pop in and out. I go when I want a reminder of Spain; however, the value isn't all there for me.

Not as spacious as it looks in the pictures, I was surprised when I walked in. No chair at the tables so you're standing the whole time (unless you sit at the bar). Cocktails are not creative, the appetizers I tried was tasty (breaded eggplants, calamari, and deep fried potato/ cheese ones)

Small cozy place with a great atmosphere but we were let down by the food. Our waitress was fantastic, explained the dishes offered recommendations and made sure we were taken care of. The food is good and could have even been amazing if it weren't for how salty it was. I'm sure that's just the style and others rave about how good it is in their reviews but it just wasn't for us.

Cool decor, loved the wooden details, it s like you re in a giant tree house. The entrance was a little confusing, we didn t realize he had to go through the patio but the main door was left open so we went through and had no one approach us to help us with our seats. Expect not to have a seat, there are only barstools at the bar area which is limited. It is quite tight inside, I would say this place is perfect for a date or a 2-3 people group. Spanish tapas were delicious, don t leave Bar Raval without trying the stracciatella & boquerones (never realized that mozzarella cheese and fish worked so well together). Cool cocktails.

My partner and I have both spent time in Barcelona so we were excited to come to Bar Raval! Gorgeous interior with an interesting menu and absoultely FABULOUS croquetas. The octopus was also one of our favourites, but the cocktails were a little off. We ordered a Malibu Barbie one and an Adonis one, but neither were very balanced or particularly interesting flavour-wise, and the drink presentation was not what we expected given the bar's reputation. We enjoyed the wine much better! Overall it was fairly pricy for the whole experience but still worth doing, especially if you have a hankering for tapas.

Often meet friends here for cocktails and tapas either really early in the evening or very late. It's always open and always packed, cocktails and food are the best. Octopus dish is on repeat for us. It's perfect. As is the kitchen bread, the stracciatella & boquerones, the Serano ham...I could go on and on. A great vibey place to enjoy the best small plates and cocktails. Pricey yes, worth every penny, yes.

This place is marketed on the interior architecture and the food. While the interior is nice, it is a bit over hyped. The food was similarly good but over hyped. The best dish to my mind was the hot oyster which was very tasty, if a bit overcooked. The lineup management is very good though. We had to wait 1.5 hours to get in; which is understandable as the place is popular but small. However they take your mobile number and send you a text when your table is ready. This means that instead of physically lining up you can wander off to one of the nearby watering holes and await your turn in comfort.

I d never even heard of this place but my friend showed me pictures (guys, google it - it s so cool) and I was all like: well obviously we re going here . So we did. And the staff was so so so nice. The MOST nice. The drinks were legit (we order a few from their cocktail menu) and the food was pretty delicious. But it was the atmosphere that made the night. Standing room only (I know. I know. But really, it works.) and the bar and walls and ceiling are just cool. I mean I ve never been to Barcelona... But I feel like it s what Barcelona is like. (And it wasn t too pricey either.)

I went at 530pm and there is no wait. Service is great and the food are good. They have 6 seafood canned that cook in their own juice that was imported from Europe. The scallop and razor clams were good.

This place is the best of life. Fine drinks and perfectly executed food, all in a casual fuss free environment.

The smoked mackerel and the chicken liver were stand outs for me. Takes me back to Spain! Will be back again and again...

Love Bar Raval! Good cocktails and excellent interior design. The first time I went, bartenders were like performing when making drinks. A bit pricey but, hey, they have really good drinks!

This place is amazing. The cocktails list is superb, and the winter warm cocktails are a real treat. But the food, wow! Tapas style food but very high quality. We spent a lazy afternoon slowly working our way through the small plate options. The seafood is superb. A place not to be missed when visiting Toronto

I came here on a recommendation and I am glad I did. The service was extremely good and friendly. I was by myself so I just got a drink and some tapas for myself. I don't know if they normally do this, but they offered half dishes so I could try a greater variety of what they offered!
Everything was delicious, and after I finished the hot octopus they gave me some bread to soak up that delicious spiced olive oil that was left over. Like icing on the cake.I also had a couple drinks and they were strong, but not overpowering, smooth, easy to drink and full of flavor. Will definitely come back.
The decor is really nice and the wood finishing on the walls give it a very unique aesthetic. There is covered and closed off outdoors area as well. The entrance is nondescript and you won't see big signs for it, but it's very much worth discovering.

Visually satisfying! Came here once before and it was so packed and loud with chatter- I bailed. Determined, I came back on a quieter weeknight and managed to get a seat at the bar. Glad i did that!

I am always hesitant to order octopus- guess what- best option on the menu. So perfectly cooked & seasoned and their smoked mackerel was well balanced an i enjoyed that as well. Plating came in a can which I was unimpressed with. I know they put it there after the fact, but for the price you pay- I cast my vote against the aluminum can.

Cocktails were great! Solid wine menu. Staff were attentive. I'd come back.

The cocktails are pretty good but the food isn't as delicious as Black Hoof in its prime. Dining around a barrel is sort of goofy, better to post up at the bar. Word is $250,000 was spent on the Gaudiesque interior!

Beautiful bar and great drinks. I feel like people are missing out by not sitting at the bar and having the bartender make them a cocktail, but I suppose sitting out in the sun is nice too.

Good food but for a bar I haven't been very impressed with their cocktails in multiple visits. Service from the majority of the staff members is cold, distant and sometimes outright rude. Always way too many staff members - two people within 5 seconds lifted up my beer to see if they needed to remove it, it felt intrusive.

Excellent grub and tasty cocktails! Service is friendly and helpful, and it can get a bit crowded but still pleasant. Very cool bar space, mostly standing room there or around a few barrels, with a handful of stools. All in all a great place with the flavors of northern Spain!

Unfortunately we didn t get to eat or dine in the main room, but the service was strong and they provided us with a customized tasting menu. The meals were strong, but they lacked the mind-blowing quality that I was hoping for.

If you can't make it to Spain see Antonio Gaudis architecture then you need to come here. Trendy bar with delectable pinchos.

Suggest you make a reservation to avoid waiting and disappointment.

Bar Raval has a great atmosphere, delicious food, good drinks, and friendly staff. We had one of the barrels on the patio and it was thoroughly enjoyable (even though it was standing for hours with hip arthritis, it was still 5 star easy).

Amazing and beautiful bar in a great area of the city. The atmosphere will blow you away. Tried several of their craft cocktails and all were well balanced and delicious. Also shared a few small plates. They were perfectly executed even though the place was packed. Only downside: it is very loud and seating is limited.

Chartreuse is prevalent here, if you are into that.

Nice place cozy and interesting but in europe when you order wine and drinks all these appetizers come for free especially if you order lots of drinks...but this is toronto.
Expensive for what they offer.
