Most authentic tapas in Toronto. Always a great atmosphere.

I don t even know where to start with Bar Raval. Breakfast, lunch, cocktail hour, dinner, after hours just get yourself in here and be transformed. I have not seen many places as beautiful or creative. Toronto becomes Barcelona if only for a few hours. Be prepared to stand and be prepared to share tables and stools. This is part of the fun. I always eat a hamburguesa and always have something with an egg. The mackerel in a tin is insane as is there crusty bread. Enjoy every moment.

I went for lunch and was very disappointed. I ordered 5 dishes and they were all sub-par. I left hungry and this place is expensive for what you get. I don't understand the good reviews. I tell people to stay away.

Great bar with beautiful a atmosphere. The staff is amazing. Great spot for snacks and a drink, no matter the time of day!

Fantastic cocktails. Attentive service. Perfect location. Lovely patio. Our waiter at Bar Isabel suggested coming here for cocktails after supper, and ACTUALLY CALLED AHEAD TO ORDER US SHERRY AND DESSERT. Can't wait to come back!

Food feels overpriced and much of it was underwhelming. Will recommend the kitchen bread, but the beautiful decor here is more memorable than the tapas. If I go back it'd probably just be for a drink.

One of my favourite spots in Toronto! Everything in here is amazing, from the ambience and the deco, the food, and the drinks. The deco is very Gaudi-esque, and I'm in absolute awe everytime I go there.

The only catch is that the seats are extremely limited, so you might find yourself standing the entire night!

What's there not to love here. Simple quality ingredients for both savoury and sweet dishes. Excellent coffee and cocktails.

Been meaning to hit this spot, finally did. No disappointments here, cocktails were great, apps were so neat and tasty, didn t even know I liked anchovies. My partner and I really enjoyed the ambience, all hand carved wood decor. Very cool, hit this place up for date night!

Gorgeous wood and food. But server couldn't find a stool for someone who needed to sit down.

A nice bar that specializes in tapas. The interior is amazing with a massive wooden var off to one side. The food was super tasty. Highly recommended.

Love the architecture but the service was quite cold and there is no seating in this bar and it's actually very small on the inside. I would not go again unless the service is more friendly.

Pricey but tasty drinks that are always being reinvented. Food and atmosphere pair well. The custom wood interior is exquisite.

Interesting and delicious cocktails for reasonable prices. Classic tapas are great as well. Would definitely come back. Was very busy but managed to find standing room along a bar and get stools about 20 minutes later which was fine. Great space, decor and ambiance as well.

Been meaning to visit Bar Raval for about a year and now I wish I could eat there every day! Absolutely stunning interior, exceptional menu, attentive staff. You really couldn't ask for more.
Came around 12:00PM on a Wednesday and the place was packed but managed to get a table in about 10 minutes.
You must try the Pickled Smoked Mackerel, Stracciatella & Boquerones Pintxos, Cojunado and Hot Octopus. If only we had room for dessert!

Great food, drinks and ambiance! Love their pintos especially their croquettes and octopus.

The food doesn t taste bad but they are nothing special. The vibe in the restaurant is very nice and chill, there are off the menu dishes that can be chosen at the bar which is a popular Spanish dining tradition. But all of dishes we tried tasted quite mediocre. I personally would not recommend it.

Here are some details of the dishes we tried:

Fried eggplant and honey: this was my favourite dish. I liked it

Tuna: one of the dishes we picked up at the bar. It s tuna.

Cauliflower, anchovy and mascarpone: just some cauliflower in olive oil with some mascarpone on the side. Nothing special. I found it too oil.

Octopus a la planxa: doesn t have too much taste to it

Shishito peppers: just pepper and a bit too much salt

Daily special with egg potato and ham: a super mediocre breakfast dish

Tomato bread: it was super simple. Tastes okay.

I liked their grub, but their cocktails are most interesting. Definitely check out their sherries if you are a sherry enthusiast or if you are considering giving sherry a try - that s the place to do it, they have some good ones, and a waiter/tress would be able to assist you in choosing it. They are so cool though that they don t have their name displayed anywhere, so if it is your first time and you see a bar with a wait in the vicinity of the google address - you are in the right place. They will text you when your turn is up. Meanwhile you can go and make a reservation in a cutesy restaurant around the corner if you want to have a dinner after the drinks :)

Love the wood carved decor, the superb service and the interesting plates of food.

This place reminds me of Gaudi's architect in Barcelona. Tapas are nice, small dishes, good for sharing. Good to be here for a wweekend brunch.

Hipster place with interesting architecture and cocktails. Waitress are not too friendly

This is the premier place for tapas in the city. The food is perfectly salted and portioned correctly, the octopus and steak are must haves. On a summer day hit the patio and order a cava with the tomato bread. A quick note: gets quite busy and indoor can be standing room only.

That new blood sausage mushroom dish is so good. Waiter said it was the best dish in Toronto rn (self described)... I agree.

Loved everything about it! The wooden design is beautiful and unique. The bottle decor under the ceiling is a nice touch. Although the place is small and often busy that does not ruin the experience in any way.
The tapas exceeded all my expectations.

I am from north Spain and I came to this restaurant with high expectation because of the food. The restaurant concept is "Make people eat fast some overpriced dishes similar to Spanish food".
The place is beautiful, but small and they don't have many chairs, you will have to be on your feet for long time. The environment is good and staff are friendly and nice.
Finally the food... It is so so and far from the real Spaniard food.
I have not found yet real Spaniard taste in Toronto.

This is the best place. Awesome food and drink, great atmosphere. Go early if you don't want to fight a crowd. Breakfast is very, very highly recommended. My favourite in the city. Or park it for the afternoon with some cava and tapas. You really can't go wrong.

4.5. The food and drinks are tasty and very well-presented. (This does not mean they are necessarily easy to eat/not messy, but maybe that's the point?)

I was on a date with my boyfriend, and I use a cane for stability in public. Staff are very kind and helpful and keep their sense of humour. This place feels very "straight" but I still felt welcome and safe.

The price point is too high for this to be a regular thing. The washroom is very clean and down a steep flight of stairs.

Love this place! I find the menu hard to order off of, but that is only due to my limited knowledge of different tapas. Everything I've eaten and drank here has been amazing though! It's perfect to go with friends to.

Good tapas. Very narrow selection of beers. Our first server could have had a better disposition.

Amazing time! We legit walked off the street and we're welcomed to the most hospitality I have ever received! Definitely a spot to stop for a drink!!

Amazing interior and design. Finger foods seemed to be the menu focus. Everyone standing feature was interesting. Accessibility was lacking as washrooms were downstairs, tables at waist height and place was super tight when busy. Overall nice experience thanks to friendly staff.

Amazing bar! The cocktails are fresh and original and the food (tapas) is delicious! A perfect date spot. The wood design over and around the bar area is stunning. I ve never seen anything like it before. Highly recommend this place.

This place is beautiful inside. Barcelona vibes, staff is friendly and you can sit and stand wherever. Sit at the bar and get some tapas. I had the mushroom and octopus was superb. Lattes are okay. Not the best I ve had.

Excellent cocktails, service, food, and ambiance! I have to give a shoutout to the waitresses. She somehow is able to split the bill for 3 people for food that we shared along with what we individually ordered. I don't know how she remembered who ordered what and what we shared, but she did it efficiently. Although I was slightly disappointed that the foie was off their menu though, but still good!

Such a wonderful experience. This place has everything ( says SNL's Stefan). The ambiance and attention to detail are fantastic. Great food, great cocktails and delightful service.

Great place if you are looking for a quick bite. Clean, simple and uncomplicated. Service was quick and our server made excellent recommendations. We loved every bite. Lively young professionals in an upbeat and trendy setting. Loved the playlist! There was a wait list if you want to be seated inside or on the heated section of the patio. We opted not to wait so we were seated outside where it was a bit chilly but it was nice nonetheless.

Arguably the best looking bar in Toronto, serving Grant van Gameren's delicious Spanish tapas. Great patio space for a few drinks and bites on a summer night. Along with DaiLo and La Carnita makes one of the best food blocks in the city!

Always great food and atmosphere. Service was a wee bit on the slow side though and they forgot part of our meal. All in all a good place and reminds me of Spain

Here with a group of friends for drinks. The service was impeccable and friendly, the drinks were spot-on. We ordered a few of the house cocktails and a few classics, and all were very well-made. Note that seating is limited, so be prepared to stand. It is part of the experience, but be aware in case anyone in your group would have a hard time standing for a long time. Great place to spend an evening and would definitely come back.

Might be my favourite restaurant in the city. Very cool interior, great selection of drinks, amazing small-plate food to share. The only downside is that it gets very busy during popular hours and the wait time may be very long

Decent tapa experience, service is a bit slow on the weekend. Food is delicious but very small portions, the drinks are tasty though.

For the price, there are some real stuff competitions (very close by).

Exquisite. For me, there will never be a better restaurant than Bar Raval. The food, architecture, atmosphere, and staff are incredible. It's a higher end restaurant worth every penny. I have ca. 15 recommendations, so I'm sure if you get anything at all on the menu, you're good. Also, continually floored by how friendly, down-to-earth, and helpful the staff is. I've asked a lot of questions about pairings, ingredients, etc. and it's always led to great conversation. Hot tip: Try the Tinto Fino cocktail.

Had a delightful experience here on Saturday. Place was very busy, but we found a table outside on a patio.
I would have given 5 stars, if our waitress was a touch nicer. We waited for quite a while to get noticed and she showed lack of enthusiasm in recommending food/drinks.
At the end of our dinner, we had another girl serving us - she was absolutely lovely - she put aside the last piece of almond cake for us, while we were finishing our mains. That was a nice touch.
Food was delicious- especially we enjoyed Jambon Croutons and the Octopus (delish lemon dressing).
Will definitely return again!

Upscale bar, great gourmet tapas. A bit pricey but it's worth it!

Good Tapas but not like the Spanish style where you get them for free if you buy a drink. Plus a little pricey for the amount you get. The food was good overall. The small space is quaint and the inside of the bar is very interesting like you are inside a tree.

Fairly unique decor and overall a nice spot to spend a summer evening but expensive and small-portioned to the point you start questioning another round.

Delicious, unique food and drinks, and genuinely friendly service.

It is worth paying a little more to get such attentive and friendly service, as well as unique flavour combinations and high-quality ingredients. It seems like the people here really care about what they do. Interior is gorgeous in terms of decor. (Words cannot do it justice.) The only drawback is the lack of seating and the busy-ness of the place. If you re willing to stand at the bar, you can get in more easily, but you can t relax and enjoy the food as much.
On the plus side, their patio is great in the warm weather and is a nicer-looking patio than most.

Only been a couple times for coffee and sweets - they use Sam James coffee beans, which is always delicious. Their Basque Cheesecake and Tarta de Santiago are amazing - not too sweet and just right to share over coffee.
Will definitely be going back for tapas & cocktails soon.

Beautiful bar with a chill vibe. Friendly staff ready to offer suggestions. Good variety of tapas, fortified wines, and cocktails. The venue is small, and it can get crowded very fast. We had a lovely time, great music and atmosphere.
