I was in a hurry because I had to be to work, so I go in try to cash my check, no line, which is probably because they'll lie to you for you to open an account. Anywho, I could either pay 8 bucks to just cash my check drawn from BofA or open an account to waive the fee. First said there was no line, so 10-15mins. Okay fine. So, I talk to the lady who assures me my money would be available the next day because it was from BofA and a new account. Well I do the mobile deposit thing, and think cool, tomorrow I can pay my bills and do my stuff. My money isn't available until WEDNESDAY! Almost 1 week. Why? New account... It takes BofA 1 week to get my paycheck that was supposed to be deposited into a card, but NOPE. So, I want to thank you BofA for making me get my services disconnected and having to pay fees because you are holding my pay FOR NOTHING. Even if I closed the account tomorrow I still wouldn't have access. This place isn't worth it. Also took almost 45 minutes. Also, told her my credit was not good enough for a credit card. She ran my credit anyway. I mean, I guess it's not on their credit for 2-3 years. Very disappointed.
I m really confused why BANK of America can NEVER make change. I have an account here but somehow the managers don t have keys to the safe you re a bank!
So I brought in a payroll check to cash, I was asked to pay $8 for this "service". The woman behind the counter was very nice. But I had explained that I didn't want to pay a fee for a check drawn on their bank (am I the only one that thinks this is idiotic?). The manager comes out and explains the policy is due to needing to protect themselves from fraud. I showed 3 forms of ID, my MA driver's license, a MA FID, and the ID of my company. She basically tells me that cashing my check is a high risk and that they need to charge me $8. At this point I need access to my money and this woman doesn't want to budge. So I pay the $8 fee. I haven't banked with BoA in about 5 years, I switched to another bank because I felt BoA was getting fee happy. They are a terrible company and I will never do business with them in any way shape or form. They should been allowed to fail back in '08/09.
