The hotel was very basic and the walls of the bedroom were dirty, there was a 35 minute delayed in getting served dinner. I felt the hotel was expensive as it is outdated and needs up-dating (perhaps a visit from The Brennan Brothers would do no harm). The payment was deducted from my card a month previous which should not have happened as the terms and conditions were that no payment would be deducted until the day of arrival. I had to ask for a receipt when checking out. This is very bad business in my opinion. Would not stay there again

Hotel and staff were lovely. Restaurant wasn't what we expected and the food wasn't worth the money, saying that the bar food was a better value and the atmosphere was better. Would book again as it was ideal for the rugby.

A very nice and mostly clean and big room. Some smal spots were you think WHY!? A tub is there and space for all you need in bathroom. A clothes room is huge and funny. Stuff is very friendly and know what they have to do. At all very recomandable.

Hotel in general ok for private trips, rooms ok (but noisy), food ok, bathroom ok. For business purpose not ideal: breakfast starts at 7am which is late, internet a disaster (last 2 days I went to copy shop and customer in the morning as internet completely broke).

I've used this hotel from when it was still Jurys, through to it's "D4 Hotel - Jury's by Lidl" phase when it turned part of the hotel into a supermarket, and it's current "Ballsbridge Hotel" incarnation.

Long story short - it used to be one of Dublin's best hotels. Then it got bought out by a developer who is now broke, his investment plans gone with the Celtic Tiger. All the old, experienced staff are gone, and after a flood last year, and the supermarket being closed because of no planning permission, they're trying to appear upmarket again.

They're using cheap foreign labour, and it shows in poor service (e.g., no barman for 15 minutes because they only put one person on during a convention(!) and he needed to go change a barrel).

The posh thing is a facade - they'll charge 15 for a burger and chips in the bar (you get a whole nine chips with that!), but the sinks and hand-dryers in the loo don't work.

Central location, possibly cheap to stay in but not to eat/drink in.

We pay 350 for two nights + an extra 12 euros for the parking space per day. There are also numerous shortcomings.
- Windows in the room cannot be opened, only tilted, i.e. we could not sleep properly because it was too hot. However, we were given two fans. Excellent! : /
- the view of the roof was just terrible. It really looked totally anti-social and disintegrated.
- a blanket was covered with an orange liquid and when we said that we would like to have a new one, the woman just gave us a cover and we should cover the beds ourselves.
-cappuccino costs extra and is not included in the price or, according to information from an employee, it is only available at half past 10.
- Breakfast area like a canteen
-service was ok
-Building totally in need of renovation
- No small spoons at the buffet
- Ordered coffee and got tea

Clean and nice hotel. It reaches their 4-star quality mission. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and the girl at the counter gave us a lot of good information about what we could do in Dublin during our stay. The rooms meet all the requirements and the employees are very friendly. The breakfast gets a 5 out of 5 of me. The location is roughly 20 minutes away from Dublin Center, walking distance. I would recommend anyone to spend time at this hotel for few days.

Here on business and rooms are a nice size and fairly well appointed but bathroom and other room hardware pretty old, no air conditioning. Service was attentive and friendly and the hotel is set up very well for conferences but food in Dubliner very basic and old fashioned in my opinion. Vegetarians will struggle.

Was at an event, room set up was excellent, bar was well managed with very friendly staff. Food was good with good service and proactive management. Large hotel not far from the centre of Dublin, plenty of area to sit and have meetings. All in all very good first impressions, no doubt that I will be back.

This is a tired hotel. Staff were a little abrupt and unfriendly. Breakfast gave me heartburn all day. All in all it is a good hotel but a little over priced. Parking is charged at 12 Euro per night which was a surprise.

Nice location, lovely staff, beautiful room and good facilities and amenities. Also I don't know if it was just this hotel or most of Dublin but allergen information was clearly listed on all their menus and at the breakfast buffet there was a gluten free dedicated section which made it very easy for me being a coeliac.

Great location, walking distance from the dock area and the markets. The room are tastefully designed and have huge windows to let in light. The hotel also has a 24*7 dining options available in-room. The rooms can get a little stuffy though because there's no air conditioning - thankfully the windows can be opened for a nice breeze.

Lovely hotel & not too far from the bustling City centre. 10mins in a cab or a nice 30min dander into town. Friendly service all round, with a nice bar & plenty of selections. Rooms are spacious, with a big bathroom & very comfy beds. Breakfast was self service and with a very varied choice, you will not go hungry here. You can even avail of a lovely piano lounge , with a very relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is also just a short walk from Aviva Football Stadium. Just turn right when you leave hotel entrance, right again past the traffic lights , then you just follow the signs from there.

Good hotel but with old rooms which could use a good refurbishment. Its well located with just a 3-4min walk from Aviva stadium and a 8min walk from Baggot street which offers loads of eating options.

Although the fittings and bathroom in our room were a little tired, we had a wonderful stay here with fabulous service. All of the staff were attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was brilliant across the restaurant, bar and coffee shop. The hotel is very well looked after and in a great location. The staff amazingly remembered from check in that one of the days we were staying was my partners birthday - they left chocolate and fruit with a birthday message in the room which was just beyond thoughtful. If we return to Dublin we would stay here again.

It is an elegant hotel with rooms of adequate size, clean and with a very good bathroom. How all the hotels in the region have an electric kettle and coffee and tea to be made. It also has iron and ironing board. It does not have a minibar. It does not have air conditioning either. It is for this last that I classify it ***, because in summer the rooms are very hot. In winter it would be ****
The breakfast is very good.

It's a nice hotel with decent food and very convenient to get in and out. But I'm giving them 3 stars because I arrived at 6am after taking an overnight flight. I had the room booked for the previous night so I would not have to wait for check in time. Once I got to the reception the agent said I didnt have a room. He looked at the top of my confirmation paper which said Burlington Rd for some reason and told me to go there. He said my reservation was there and he didnt provide me any address or even cared to call them to verify. I hauled my luggage got back in my car and drove around for 6 mins, parked and walked to the reception to find out I did not have a room there either. Finally I came back and insisted they at least check the system for my name. Finally found it......wasted 45 mins of my time. Got to my room at about half 7, took a shower and went straight to work.

The only drawback I could think of during my stay here was no aircons in the rooms. I stayed here during the hot sunny days and the rooms were quite warm. They did provide fans when requested at the reception. Kudos for that

This was not a pleasant stay. I walked into the room and was immediately hit by a strong smell of wood paint. The bathroom door had recently been painted and instead of letting the room air out they just put a guest in there (me). The door was painted so thick that I couldn't even close the door, it just stayed open.

The room had no light switch for the main area cause there was NO light there! There were two lamps by the bed to provide some menial light in the dark and one of the lamps didn't even have an accessible switch so had make do with just one lamp.

On checkout, the lady at the reception looked totally miserable and unfriendly, asked her to validate my parking (which I had paid for) and got to the exit gate only to find she hadn't done it and had to park and walk back to reception.

All in all, not a great hotel and too expensive for what it is. Don't bother staying here, plenty of better hotels around Dublin, first and last time I stay here.

If you are looking for a venue just south side of Dublin for a meeting or small event then you could consider the Ballsbridge Hotel. I have spoken and attended a number of events and they are equipped to cope with a lot of attendees.

However if you are looking for a distinctive and premium location there are other hotels I would recommend you explore.

There are 4 staff atat recepti chatting to each other, no customers around. I am at the big seatting area by reception and nonenof the 4 approaches. I go to them and they say i have to go to the bar and oder myself. Theret are two staff at the bar chatting, no customers, I ask who looks after all seating area for drinks they say, nobody. So 6 people, not busy, and customer has to do everything? Tables dirty, empty drinks seatting there as nobody looks after the area. The staff is not well trained, place is not cleaned. Staff should be busy at all times, adjusting seats moved, clearing.. it feels uncomfortable when they stand there just chatting

Hotel is lovely and in a great location, however the staff weren't very accommodating. My partner was trying to ask someone working in the bar a question and he was completely ignored. Im pretty sure he was a manager! We enquired at reception that night about the room service that was available and we were told we had to go up to our room and ring reception to order I don't understand why we couldn't just do it there and he wasnt very nice about it!! I understand the staff were ran off their feet as it was the night of the Post Malone concert but it doesnt cost anything to have manners. We paid decent money to stay here so it's just not good enough!

The only positive aspect during my stay in this hotel was the polite staff (this is the only reason, why gave two stars instead of one). Shortly speaking, free wifi only for 20min a day (and annoyingly slow connection, too), no SPA (They claim to be a 4-Star hotel), lousy interior (scratched courtains, uneven tiles, loud slamming doors) and finally a "television" in the size of a laptop. To sum it up, cost effectiveness is very low.

Nice hotel on Ballsbridge area. Royal Dublin Society is 5 minutes walking (Expo, Conferences, Concerts and Leinster Rugby matchs). Also the hotel is near to Aviva Stadium.

Nice rooms, and the facilities include Pub, Restaurant, Conference and Meeting Rooms.

Close to bus services to the city centre and airlink service to Dublin airport.

Terrible frot desk service. Paying 180 euros a night in a '4 star hotel' I don't even get internet to browse the web.

I called the front desk and asked them how am I supposed to do my work without internet and TOMMY replied "how is that my problem".

That response really annoyed me so I asked to speak with his Manager. FRANCISCO wasn't any better calling me "illiterate" and "uneducated" because I was speaking loudly on the phone despite knowing what his colleague said to me.

This isn't how you treat guests. I expect a solution if the internet is not working not such a 1 STAR HOTEL response.

NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN. NOR WILL PEOPLE FROM MY COMPANY.
