Intentionally deceiving customers. As other reviewers have stated, it's one thing to be experiencing delays due to a crisis and quite another to repeatedly give customers the impression that items are available when they are definitively not. They didn't even have the materials to make the product at the time I ordered - something that wasn't revealed until I had made my order. Ball and Buck has exploited customers in this regard and in several ways misrepresented availablilty. They continue to be listed on external sources of where one can get a mask "now" and give approximations that aren't even close to reality. Then they create a shipping label to give the impression your item is on the way only to take another week or longer for the item to actually be in transit. I probably would have been ok with a delay had it been clearly communicated but this company chose to take advantage of people's need in a time of crisis. Go elsewhere.
I emailed Ball & Buck to complain about delay, I then received email saying items had shipped. I waited a few days & then checked USPS tracking #., label was created but never given to USPS this was two weeks ago, I just checked it today and same thing. I sent an email to them last week, I stated that I believed they were committing fraud I told them I would give them a week and then notify my bank to cancel CC purchase. I will call my bank Monday, this is Saturday. Will never order from this company & will tell all my contacts.
Sadly, I must agree with the other mask reviewers. Not sure if B&B over-promised or are just full of BS. I appreciate the donations to medical staff, but the wait during the height of the virus is ridiculous. My card was charged and received a shipment notice from B&B over a week ago, but the USPS says no shipment was turned over to them yet.
Follow-up: Orig left a one star review for charging my credit card and sending a shipment notification -- when they didn't even have the inventory. I did belatedly receive the product, and it's nicely made, so I raised the rating some.
This company has scammed people during the COVID outbreak. After they sold out of their masks, they continued to advertise them and take orders. It s been 4 weeks since I ordered masks for my parents and I. All I get are emails from Ball & Buck telling me how hard they re working to make the masks and fill orders. Other companies were honest and said that their masks were out of stock. Not Ball and Buck, they took every penny they could good get from people in the midst of a tragedy. Still waiting on my 4 masks (which cost $100 with s&h).
I m curious if taking advantage of customers during a pandemic was worth the long term possibility of losing them. Ball and Buck should be applauded for donating medical masks with purchases. However, I think it s telling when the company blames the demand of its consumers for fulfillment failures. These are unprecedented times and empathy should be excercised. The issue is not impatience, rather transparency. Customers can wait but the company has an obligation to communicate accurate information. It s unfortunate that this was not the case. Rather than respond begrudgingly to customers the company should have admitted fault to over promising and under delivering or in this case, not delivering at all. Shame on you Ball and Buck. Will be reconsidering loyalty.
