Solid breakfast spot! From the bakers that brought you the Bang Bang Pie Shop, this is a simple yet well thought out bakery. Honoring the art of sweet and savory simplicity. Some might get frustrated by the less then complex menu but if that's what your looking for go somewhere else.

Their avocado toast with the watermelon radish is a thing of absolute beauty. Oh wait. Then there s their elotes grits..... Forgot to mention they have found a home for a local grist miller, Benjamin from True Grain! This is a business worth standing behind.
I love Baker Miller! Before the pandemic, I would work and have meetings in this cute dinette. Since the pandemic, I've become an even more frequent customer. I love their super fresh bread, decadent biscuits and pie, and amazing take and bake cinnamon rolls. I also appreciate that they have prioritized the wellbeing of their staff and their patrons and are choosing to wait to reopen until it is absolutely safe. Dave and the entire team are so kind, friendly, and upbeat every time I'm there.
I really liked going here pre-covid. Can't sit inside and enjoy a meal there anymore but the walk up window is fantastic and they are really good about keeping everything clean and sanitized while still being friendly so thank you.
Ordered online at 9am for a 1200 pickup, but one item on my order was unexpectedly sold out. The fact that the sales person just says "I don't know how you ordered it" and me not getting a call about it, just leads me to think it was in stock when it was ordered, but just sold to someone else who just walked up.
Good food and a friendly waitstaff. I've not had luck with the coffee though. Not even diner-drinkable stuff most times. Cute space for some breakfast.
This place has always been fantastic, but it has gone above and beyond during these unprecedented times. Owners are considerate, staff is friendly, and food is amazing! Will always find a way to support this local gem.
Mediocre and bland food that had way too much pepper. Drinks either from frozen or too watered down. Food catered to more "health conscious" or hipster people and more expensive than it should be for the amount and taste of the food. Very unenthusiastic staff that seem to care less about customers even getting my order wrong. Desserts were dry but fairly cheap.
Randomly searched a bakery and Baker Miller popped up and let me tell you!!! Soooo glad I went. The pastries are just simply amazing and so addicting. My family loved everything. The coffee is even more delicious. Staff is very sweet. Wishing you guys a great and healthy prosperous season!
Amazing food, and even more amazing staff. I ve never had a bad experience. They care about the food they serve, AND making sure that their neighborhood and community is safe. They are one of my favorite restaurants in the city. (Also if you haven t had the horchata pie you re missing out).
I really want to love this place. The old location was great, but I feel like they sacrificed something when they moved closer into the Square. Staff is awesome, coffee is great. But, I got the same dish I've ordered a million times before, and as other reviews have mentioned, the food was cold. It came out much much faster than at the old place. But, honestly, I always enjoyed the time it took. The portions appeared to be smaller, and they had changed sliced fresh avocado to a scoop of sort of brownish guacamole. Also, I know they're pressed for space, but storing baked goods right next to the restroom was just sort of off-putting. I'll give them another shot next month.
Can t get enough of their food. Super fresh, high-quality ingredients make each dish incredibly scrumptious. Their baked-in-house bread is amazing, as are their homemade grains. Be sure to try the key lime pie too!
The staff here is great as well. Always so friendly, attentive and kind. I m so happy to have discovered this gem!
Good healthy food. Unfortunately it was too hot to sit inside. I wanted to use one of the toasters they have each table inside. Portion was perfect. Fresh healthy ingredients. Will try again when its colder outside.
Love this neighborhood gem! Their avocado toast is my favorite. And I cant resist the baked goods either! One of my go-to spots in Lincoln Square. I m also appreciate of the efforts they ve taken to keep their customers and employees safe during the pandemic.
Get yourself a chocolate chip cookie, and thank me later. Wait, also get the sausage and egg breakfast sandwich on one of their incredible biscuits. While you re at it, maybe pick up some IL-milled bread flour since the grocery store is out. And if you re still hungry, the breakfast bowl with grits will stick to your ribs.
Seriously, this place is great. The food is top notch, they prioritize local businesses and farms and their prices are still on the cheaper side of Chicago brunch. The owners are active in the local grain and restaurant communities. This is a wonderful restaurant to support while enjoying a tasty meal!
Delicious! This is probably the first time I have ever had bakery sweets and thought it was the perfect hint of sweet without giving me a cavity. A grain bowl paired with a sourdough cinnamon roll is the perfect lunch!
There are reviews for a reason. I wish I had listened to what they said. Anytime you have mixed reviews don't go. I learned my lesson. The food was just ok. For just ok food they charge a fortune. Definitely not worth it. I spent alot of money here and regret very cent. Even the baked goods were not worth the cost. Do Not Spend Your Hard Earned Money Here!
I have been wanting to come to Baker Miller for a year now. I looked over the menu online and ordered the toast plate, which came with three types of bread. There was a butter and jar bar that came with the toast plate. The staff was helpful and kind.
Mediocre food at painful prices. The lack of value would be tolerable if the place ran smoothly but service is non existent. Tables are not wiped down and sticky. The toasters along with the butter and jam bar are a cute excuse for do it yourself. Food is under seasoned and portions are sample size. The grits are a joke. There are better places to spend your money.
Really tasty, really simple, everything from scratch food (they even mill their own grain and culture their own butter!) One of my favorite neighborhood breakfast/brunch stops!
Hopefully this place is just going through so growing pains but I was really disappointed today. Couldn t get an espresso drink because the machine wasn t hooked up. Then paid $15 for cold (supposed to be hot) coffee and tasteless avocado toast that took 3 tries to finally get a soft boiled egg. And even then, that was cold too. I won t be going back. Sad because it s such a great location and has potential if they could get their act together.
