This is always a fun experience. There are so many different seeds to choose from!! In the spring there are trees and flowering bushes and grapes and berry vines to choose from. There is a great restaurant serving a single vegetarian meal on a donation basis. The cinnamon rolls at the bakery are the best!! But be prepared to wait for them!!
Such a fantastic place. We will return for more great food and garden supplies
Great place to relax and enjoy fresh farm items and pick up some seeds for your garden.
Very nice venue. Great music. Good people. Not for everybody. I loved it
Had a great experience with Baker seeds. After planting this spring almost all my seeds came up. One packet was a dude though, after I was sure of it I contacted Baker about it, their response was within hours and the sent me a replacement. Couldn't be happier
Very nice relaxing place to visit food here is excellent especially for being vegan.
Excellent, it was worth the trip. We enjoyed the music, food, guided tours, and helpful staff. Lots of great seeds, plants, and craft items to purchase.
Absolutely the best place ever to find organic, non GMO heirloom seeds of all types. Extremely friendly staff that is more than willing to go out of their way to help you find exactly what you're looking for. I recommend this place to everyone whether you're an experienced gardener/farmer or you're just starting out like me.
Their seeds are hardy, unique, and shipping is fast. Stellar customer service as always.
I have never been so disappointed in my garden in 20 years. I am 64 years old and Baker Creek seeds Was suggested to me to try. My early peas were only 2 feet tall, With no yield. My pickling cucumbers looked like baseballs, very poor production of my tomato plants. One plant only gave me one tomato two plants gave me none.
I ordered marigolds some of my plants were 6 inches tall some of them were 24 inches tall. And very little blooms.
I am truly sorry to make this report. But I will not be ordering from Baker Creek again.
If you don't find a few things for your garden, well you're the one with a problem.
So glad that we made it by there to visit. Intended to get some good non-GMO seeds and ended up buying almost every pastry they had. The pecan pies are the best I have ever had! The cinnamon rolls are out of this world. We are returning this Sunday for the free festival and my daughter intends to get some of their awesome jams. Might get some heirloom seeds.
Great selection. Awesome prices on trees. Will definitely return during summer planting or harvest time.
Lettuce and Thai basil seeds I ordered from them germinated well. They have a great selection of unusual plants, such as comfrey, purslane, and stinging nettles. Very permaculture. Thumbs up.
The blacksmith was especially interesting as well as Mr. Dickerson with the fresh veggies!!! So knowledgeable!! I'm so headed to C-street for any fresh veggies I haven't grown!! And whatever you have heard about the cinnamon rolls is true...hubby says they are fantastic! The seeds were endless and so much helpful gardening tips and knowledge was abundant with each staff member I spoke with! Vegan or not check out the vegan restaurant, I am going back just to do so and have been recommended in trying everything before you at no!! The smells oooooo and every review I have gotten say yes, I have to go back!
Bad Experience! I placed an order and like many of you guys I did not receive my order! So I waited and after 2 weeks I emailed them to follow up on the status of my order and Lisa responded via email and told me " Oh I'm sorry the seeds that you ordered were out of stock when you ordered them and that they refunded my money back into my checking account" wrong again, I never received the seeds or my refund. If the seeds were out of stock why wasn't I informed of that when I initially placed my order! I'm not here to bash or smear the company at all I'm just telling the truth. I know many have had great experiences with them and being a business owner I understand that people make mistakes. Looking at the previous responses this company needs to focus on what they can do to enhance proficiency and customer satisfaction.
We were here for a tour and spring festival. We have been wanting to come for years but work didn't allow us to come until now. It was worth it! Amazing place everyone should see at least once!
The best heirloom seeds I have ever found. It doesn't matter to them if you buy $10 in seeds or $100, everyone is treated with respect.
I bought 4 packets of tomato seeds and got 2 plants. The sunflower seeds had a 1/3 germination rate. In 30 years of gardening, I never had such a terrible result. I went to the hardware store and got seeds to start over, and they did much better.
One of the only places I buy seeds from even though I live in Montana talk about them a lot on my YouTube channel which they were closer and could attend to my expo in September of 2020 Or they could open up a branch here in Montana how cool would that be and hand wink wink
Picked up a seed donation there for Grow Well Missouri Springfield. Staff is wonderful and helpful. Will be happy when we can visit again. Have always had good luck with their seeds!
Awesome place for plants ,Seeds, Brick a Brack old time Bonnets and Dresses. Great Blue grass and Old Country Music. Great home cooked food. Everything made by the folks in the Mansfield Area. 3 Days of great everything. Animals for sale as well. Baby Chicks and Lambs Calves. Old time Aprons made by all the area folks. Homeade Jams syrups Raw Honey . Camping spots for those who want to stay the entire three Days. It was iften. I suggest going early if its for a day or you'll sit in traffic for gours tring to get to the entrance We were an eighth of a mile from tje entrance and it took well over an hour and a galf to get to the entrance for parking. As I Said awesome but you want to leave early in the morning. So that your at the entrance and can park without being stuck in your vehicle for an hour or way longer. It was a blast . Akso be prepared to do a great deal of walking thets tons to see. You cant see everything in one afternoon , it takes the entire 3 days to see it all and I'm not sure you can see it all in 3 days there is just so much. I give them five Stars it is an awesome experience.
We're a small, publicly owned demonstration farm in Salt Lake County. We order from Baker Creek because the selection is superb, the customer service is great, and the order turn around is incredibly fast.
Great place to get any kind of gardening seed's! A ton of variety as well! The festivals are a joy to just walk through the grounds and browse different homemade items for you to purchase! Nice little family outing for all to enjoy!
14 days to ship seeds, really? Horrible service, never buying from them again.
Every time I drive through Missouri I have to pick up a sack of seeds from here. I try to catch this place when they got a shindig going on.
They have any kind of heirloom plant seed you could want I think. I was there for their spring festival - lots of vendors, good music to listen to and good choices of food.
I live right next to this place and I love It. If you come here on the festivals you are going to see me, I am almost alway there almost all the time Come by And Have a Great time.
(and if you see me say "hi")
Their seed selection is amazing. There are dozens of varieties of tomatoes, salad greens, squash, melons seeds; many exotic types. Don't forget to stop by their bakery for great fresh bread and other baked goods. If you are ever around at lunch time, you are in for a treat!
Way more seeds that promised, even their most expensive tomato seed that promised at least 10 seeds included over 30.
I ordered seeds from Baker Creek for years before relocating and finding myself just minutes away. Their country village is well worth a visit. Their seeds are amazing. I have a batch germinating even now. The festivals and special events are numerous so there is always a reason to go back. Thanks for being one of the few places I can still be asured of getting 'real' seeds.
It is something we want to go back to, it was supposed to be open til 6pm we didn't get there until 5 pm and some of the vendors were already starting to pack up. Went to the seed store and was warmly greeted by a female, but the male came up to us and said they were closing if we wanted to purchase anything to go check out now. When we were standing at the register I was telling my daughter that maybe the next time we come we can go to the area that sell patterns and materials. The female told us to go ahead and look, escorted us to it, we briefly looked and went back to check out. Like I said she was very nice. We went to the bakery, they had wonderful baked goods. We will be going back, but much earlier next time.
They have soooo many seeds. Basically everything you could want. Cute gift shop, so many things, jars of jelly and pickles and sauces and seasonings to take home. They have unusual things as well, sowing paterns, home made truffles, toys, clothes, kitchen utensils, crock pot stuff. On sight bakery, restaurant and soaps and scents. So much to list, bring a few hours to burn
This is an amazing place to get seeds. From the free seeds with every order and free shipping, to the customer service always willing to help, and to the variety of seeds, I will be a long-standing customer of this company.
Awesome place to just visit or get great seeds from. The employees here were more than helpful and down to earth. Great place
This is such an amazing experience! We will be back again next year!
Best seeds I have come by yet!I done the commerical seeds found at Walmart, Lowe's, home dept, ect and nothing compares. Not only is the company honest, fast and reliable, they also have tons of variety and free shipping so that means when lettuce leaf basil is calling my name I can order just that..and only that!! With no guilt! They will forever have my business! Thank you baker creek!
Love this place, well worth the drive the cinnamon rolls are a must when you visit!
I have been several times to Baker Creek!! Spectacular selection of heirloom seeds!! Purchased all of our garden seeds there. Lots to do and see ... Especially for families. Friendly and knowledgeable workers.
Beautiful flowers, the Pioneer Village was fun to walk back in time. We did not eat at the restaurant, but it smelled delicious.
Very family friendly and a wealth of information on gardening. Also they have a restaurant that is donation only paying.
Great product, good people.
As simple as that!
Had an absolutely wonderful time at their Spring Planting Festival. It's one of the few places on earth that has a very family friendly atmosphere. We camped there for 3 days in their cow pasture and the kids loved it!
Many many unique seeds to choose from. They grow here every year. I love that they will replace faulty seeds or add more to a pack for low germination. Many nice people that work there!
Loved our visit really helpful employees. Great variety of seeds many animals to look at plan on coming back for a longer visit to see everything
