The evening sunset is absolutely stunning if you are fortunate enough to catch the pink sky with the Baha'i temple in the foreground.

This temple is very much different to others I had seen before. I never heard of that kind of temples until that day and I found it quite interesting.

A beautiful and stately church, heading north from downtown Chicago along Lake Michigan. If time permits, you can also visit Northwestern University or visit the Chicago Cubs.

I love this place for healing and meditation any pray.

Entirely unique building that looks lke it's made of lace. Have been going there to walk the stunning gardens, walk the inside to bask in it's beauty, catch the peace and innate spirituality of this whole place since high school in the 60s. It can be spotted from Sheridan Road, its white huge presence visible from aways off. It had spectacular views of Lake Michigan, but an enormous private residence was built across the road very recently, having an impact on the lake view. Now I live 10 blocks away, which never ceases to amaze me.

About a year ago, a separate free-standing visitors centers opened to accommodate the many international and local guests, being a bookstore and with people to answer questions. Until then, the center was in the lower level and was just too small to meets the needs.

The Baha'i belief system is very cool and and interesting. Get an overview at the visitor center.
You can't go wrong. Find out ahead of time when there is something going on because that may or may not be a good time to visit. Length of visit depends on what you want to do there.
Hope you make it there and will be glad you did.

A beautiful site not just on inside of the Baha i temple but on the outside, too. There are always beautiful flowers and flowing fountains during the spring and summer time. The temple is a place for anyone of any religion to be able to pray. Also, there is a museum and gift shop downstairs!

been to chicago three times and visit the place everytime...its beautiful architecture, the serenity of the place,and the awesome spiritual feeling it gives me...its quite an experience everytime.
