Workers range from dependable to very sketchy. Some employees find it OK to urinate and deficate in things other than portable toilets or available facilities. However security is good and strictly enforce safety.

Have been to these yards on four separate navy ships (USS Mount Whitney, USS Porter, USS Monterey, USS Winston S. Churchill) and it has been the same thing every time: pull in, for the first few days make sure whatever guys you have on duty are keeping watch over your spaces because the criminals that work here will bust open a master lock, padlock, etc. and break into your space to steal whatever you have of value. One of my divisional spaces had a master lock securing the space. Came into work, and the space was open, lock was on the floor, cut with bolt cutters. All the cabinets and drawers had been cleaned out. Every tool we had was gone. Paperwork was left there, but everything of monetary value was gone. Coaxial cable, tools, a DVD player, etc. was all stolen. This place is really terrible, and good luck walking to and from your car every day without getting robbed, or your car broken into.

BAE is always scamming. They can't win bids so they punish contractors. Safety don't care, so damn hot that at least once a week and a half people passed out. And parking lot is a joke. Scamming us so they and Towing Company can make a profits.

Shitty place to work. Money hungry because they don't know how to do their job and blame on AITs and other Sub-Contractors. Their own employees don't know how to do their job, burning ship. They're a joke!

Hate working here. They make outside contractors pay $2 per day to enter under the guise of parking fees, but you get charged parking fees whether you drive to work or not. If you dont pay you get locked out at the turnstile. Just one of their many scamz

One of the most inefficient places I ve ever been to. You better pray you don t have to go to the understaffed and too small pass office because you WILL wait in line a minimum of one hour. This place cares very little about the workers, productivity, and man hours wasted just standing in line at the pass office. I have no clue how this place got any higher than a 1 star rating.

It's a playground for Ex-Navy. A killer of souls and dreams. Driving morale to an all time low it is guaranteed to scale your ego and self worth down to a .001 of what it actually is. Ran by overbearing, rule enforcing like it's the only part of their job, cut throat backstabbing children it will make you feel like you are in High School again...but worse. The money is okay, they have a nice glass ceiling they make sure to clean daily. Security is laughable, with lack of cameras on the labor force's part of the parking lot. The fact that everyone is punished for one person's mistake is also nice. Overall I would rather sit in a flaming dmv that's blasting Miley Cyrus music while my number never gets called than actually make the conscious decision to ever work here again.

Went for an interview and I answered every question correctly that they asked pertaining to the trade I'd applied for. They tried to low ball me on hourly pay. Went to another company and made out.

No information posted on their website for Pass and ID, Visit Request forms, etc....caused extensive delay for those travelling from outside the area to get to their designated assignments on board the ships there. Only shipyard (private and Gov't owned) I know to have just a phone number listed in Google that is answered 2 of 9 attempts during normal business hours. Can't speak for daily workers here but for the rest of us that visit here 6-8 times per year, it's very painful. And make sure you turn in your badge to a live person, not the drop box. They claim no responsibility for badges missing from drop box and charge you on the next visit.
