Beautiful Spanish style hotel with amazing amenities, service as soon as you exit ur vehicle. Close proximity to beaches with beautiful walks. Pool for adults only. Didn't eat in the hotel at night but daytime food was high quality

We did wine tasting as members...this time was so much better than previous experiences! Gunther was an awesome host...way better than past service we've had there...and they are honoring member privileges as had been promised when we joined...which had not been the case the last several months!

Perfect for a weekend away! The hotel and staff are absolutely amazing, they were able to provide us the best room on the resort - 8-305. The brunch at the bistro is extremely well done, we had the salmon and the heavos rancheros . If you re a tennis player make sure to book a court or a clinic, the coaches are top notch. Enjoy!

Unfortunately not a good service and many extras, which should be included in a 5-star hotel. Not recommended, as there are much better hotels with even a star less. Although we spent some days there, it did not get better. The only thing that has 5 stars at this hotel is the room service.

Location is really good because it is isolated from croweded downtown. The rooms are really nice and they are all spanish style build. The service is from 1 to 10 somewhere 6 because they have a lot young people who are not educated enough forvthat kind of service.

This is a breathtakingly beautiful resort. The staff is attentive and helpful. However, service is lacking at The Bistro and not nearly the same level as elsewhere on the property. We went to the O Bar several times and our service was exceptional. We had reservations at Angel Oak, the nice restaurant on property. Unfortunately, the day of our reservation the restaurant had a kitchen fire and wasn't able to reopen during our stay so that was disappointing. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because service at The Bistro definitely falls short of Ritz standards but our experience everywhere else was so good, it almost made up for it. Definitely recommend staying here and we most certainly will return.

One of my favorite places to visit in the entire United States. Santa Barbara has a relaxed but luxurious vibe and this place embodies both. From fireplaces and large terraces to breathtaking views of the ocean to, of all things, insanely fast internet (120MBP download and an insanely high upload rate of 238 MBP). So if you re here for a celebration you ll be able upload your videos/photos with ease. My favorite thing about this place in winter is that the sunrises and sunsets both occur over the Pacific in November and the views are incredible. The property is located on a rolling hill bluff above the ocean and it is virtually unparalleled in it geographic majesty on the west coast.

Hidden gem in Santa Barbara! Cozy, beautiful in excellent location! Professional and extremely friendly staff! Luxury, classic amenities, of course expensive, but well worth it! It's a Ritz-Carlton!

Some parts are great, like the beds (piles of down!), but a lot of little things were off for the price: very weak shower, small tub, no reasonable breakfast options, provided flip flops were horrendously uncomfortable, and the "salt" pools were also chlorinated, defeating the point.

Massage was expensive but very good. Spa area was well maintained.

Staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient.

Bistro was best restaurant option: quite good food and specialty cocktails with only $5-10 markup, instead of the $30 markup at the fancier but not much better restaurant.

Wow - what an amazing experience we just had staying at the Ritz Carlton at Santa Barbara recently.

I stayed there with my wife and 2 young daughters as I was speaking at a conference that was being hosted there.

And, our entire (amazing) experience can be summed up in this story:

On one of the days, my wife wanted to take my 2 young daughters into town to watch the latest Disney movie at the cinemas.

She went to the foyer and called an Uber (mentioning that she had 2 small kids).

About 20 minutes later, my wife was getting worried because the Uber driver hadn't arrived or updated the app.

So she checked in with them and the Uber driver had decided to cancel because he wasn't able to take the kids.

By that time, it was too late to organise any other sort of transportation.

So, she told the kids who were a little upset that they weren't able to go and they ended up going back to the room.

About 30 minutes later, we got a phone call in the room from Hotel Reception saying that they had noticed that the kids were upset about not being able to go and see the movie in town, so they had organised for a Disney Movie to be shown in the hotels (FULL SIZE) private cinema later on that evening JUST for my 2 daughters to cheer them up

Unfortunately, we already had dinner plans that evening - so the reception lady then offered to play it the next morning for them.

So, in the morning - they both proudly went down to the cinema and had unlimited (naughty, but yummy) snacks completely organized by the hotel and watched their favorite Disney movie!

Now, that's 5 class service - highly recommended and a GREAT family hotel!

We hope to be back again.

Came here for an anniversary and whole the weather was rainy we still enjoyed every bit of our stay here. From the hot tub, to the spa, to the lawn games and the restaurant it was a magical weekend for us and we will treasure it

Best experience ever! Definitely a 5-Star Hotel/Resort. Vallet Parking only so prepare your tipping money. The Villas look great and the pool is near the ocean. You can get a ride anywhere around the villas by a golf cart driven by the employees. The rooms looks dated but still elegant. Rooms comes with an Ipad as your directory and even comes programmed with your name in it. All the Food served were oustanding...seafood, mexican food, party food...etc. If you love the view of the ocean, you can walk to it. Perfect place to get away from your busy life and relax. Perfect for running along the walking path with an ocean view. The Resort/Hotel is not near any other establishment and feels exclusive. You get treated like a Real VIP. Great place for a Honeymoon or wedding reception.

This is a lovely hotel. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Our room was fabulous and they gave us a bottle of wine for a welcome gift.

I sipped some wine while soaking in a great tub.

We arrived late so we had a light meal at the bar. The octopus was tender and flavorful and the bartender made great drink suggestions.

This property is extremely nice and well maintained. It also has a great view of the ocean from the walking trail. All of the food was delicious, especially dinner at Angel Oak. I recommend trying the aged NY Strip and the king crab legs (photos attached). The staff are also very friendly and professional. I would give this location 5 stars, but the rooms are overpriced IMO ($700 night for their basic junior suite). Other than the rates, everything else about this property is great.

My favorite place to stay in Santa Barbara! In the past year they have made big upgrades to the Spa and Fitness facility and the overall property is better than ever since the Ritz group purchased it.

Great Views! Great Restaurant! Reason for the not giving a 5 star review is due to the room. Room was like a 1985 car which is in need of restoration. Without going into a specific issue, floor etc. we had incidents where the drapes were very difficult to close, it felt like we were going to break them, even after they were fixed. Then we returned to the room one day in the early evening, the maid was kind enough to leave on the a/c as the day was fairly hot. Unfortunately the a/c was blowing hot air. A repairman showed up in a timely manner and discovered the a/c was blowing at 83 degrees. He did his job after about 20 minutes and got it working. Unfortunately after we went to sleep it stopped working and i woke up in a pool of sweat. Upon checking out there seemed to have been little concern about this. Additionally upon checking in, I was told that this hotel, because it is a "resort" did not participate in the instant redemption which is offered by Bonvoy This program enables you to use your points for things you charge to your room. I had to spend over an hour dealing directly with Marriott's property management team who confirmed that this hotel, or resort, does participate in it.One reason I was on the phone with them, was due to them being placed on hold while trying to reach the hotel manager. This was our first stay here since the Ritz took over the property from the Bacara. I would like to think for a hotel of this caliber, my incident is just a 1 of situation, but i thought it would be worth mentioning just in case.

We were there for Mother's day brunch. Brunch was great (including the service). The pool and spa were also very nice and included with the room. Our room was not as they had promised but they made up for it by giving us some of the money back.

A very nice resort hotel. Good food and nice staff. The scary from the bluffs or cliffs is amazing. Unfortunately the Air conditioning stopped working in my villa during the last night of my visit. It wasnt too warm but, I like the room to be VERY COLD .... otherwise great visit.
