Beautiful resort. The rooms are nice and have updated technology such as an iPad to hook you in with room service and other amenities. The only negative I took away is that the plumbing is so noisy. If anyone else in the building flushed the toilet or turned on the shower it sounded like a jet taking off. The restaurants on the property are amazing!

Hotel service sucks. I had to call four times to try to send Champaign to guests of hotel and after four attempts finally spoke to a nice person who took my order, credit card etc. But then they failed to deliver the gift! Are you kidding me? The Best Western can do better!

So fancy! Went here to go to a dinner at the Bistro. I would love to go here more but it's expensive. Great Pacific halibut on top of delicious black rice. If I could afford to stay here I would. But a quick search gave the price of $700 for a junior suite on a Tuesday night.

New Years Friendship Trip

New Years Friendship Trip
This by far is one of the best trips ever. The professional royal treatment you receive at this hotel is hard to beat. Me and one of my good friends took a trip to the Ritz Carlton Bavaria and it was awesome. The champagne upon check in was just the start of the five star treatment. The check in process was quick and easy. Upon seeing the beautiful grounds, I requested an upgrade, I was told the up charge amount and it was done instantaneously. The ground are gorgeous and the courtyard is beautiful. The complimentary golf cart ride to our room was a nice touch especially after a six hour drive. There is plenty to do if you want to stay on the property. The beach is steps away and there are a variety of restaurants on site. The rooms were a decent size and the shower and tub are separate. Be careful NOT to get happy and open the bottle of wine because the charge is pretty steep. It s probably 5 to 6 times what it cost in the store. Prices are posted but my roommate didn t pay attention to the price list so that bottle of unfinished wine and a snickers cost her $179.00. The brunch was great and dinner and drinks at the steak restaurant were incredibly tasty. This hotel definitely aim to please their guest. If you re driving be prepared to spend a nice amount on valet. They have a self park parking lot but the difference in the price is worth just letting them park it. Valet was 50 bucks a night. If you like walking, hiking, the sound of the ocean, watching the sun rise or go down, this is a great place to stay. I definitely will go back again and again. The staff alone will make you want to stay here. The staff at the concierge desk are knowledgeable and full of suggestions based on your interest. The resort is a little secluded but well worth the solitude. There are numerous places at this hotel to sit, relax, read, people watch, sun bathe, drink a cocktail or get a spa treatment. It s well worth the money.

Stayed on 5/26 during pandemic but even with that it was still very lacking. Customer service was non existent and house keeping was lax. You have to pay for everything from parking to coffee ($9 for a latte). The food selection was so limited. Not worth the price $$ tag.

What a perfect stay! I want to give 10 stars if i could. A family of five stayed Bacara resort for one day, and we were completely satisfied with Ritz dedicated service and fully relaxed even for short stay. All staffs were so kind and helpful, and I would like to sincerely thank Dustin who decorated my trip beautifully! My daughter was sick during my trip and he asked her feeling every time we met, and a small doll he gave to my daughter when we left was so impressive.! Thanks Dustin and thanks Ritz Carlton Bacara.

My sister in law got married and stayed here for her honeymoon. We met her for brunch. The food was gorgeous and delicious. Service was gracious but slow, brunch took twice as long as imagined. Afterward, we toured the resort and beach. I took some truly stunning photos. Every inch of the resort boasts glorious natural views and rich amenities. I would love a chance to stay there sometime in the future myself.

Great service, but our garden view room had a view of a wall and the back of some old furniture left in a hallway. We were hoping to order room service and enjoy a bottle of santa ynez wine for dinner one night, we didn't expect an ocean view, but we were expecting a"garden view", not a wall v

Absolutely stunning. Make sure to get a room with an ocean view. There s a trail for running, but beware of the tar in the beach. Make sure to wash it off at the stations placed next to the pool.

I was only there to have dinner at The Bistro. The food, service, and music were all very good, and the walk through to the restaurant from the parking lot was nice. The view from the patio where we ate was also nice, but a bit obstructed by the bar.

Amazing hidden gem right on the ocean. Beautiful atmosphere and grounds. Loved the pool, the Baccara breakfast sandwich for room service (was amazing and worth the $) and the room and views were gorgeous. Hated the hills and trekking my luggage up them. Overall, great hotel!

Only 7 mos the old as a Ritz. Fantastic staff and amazing ocean views. Warm pool too! overall the property is in fantastic shape although it is quite old but I hear it from the Ritz staff that they are investing quite a bit of money in the property in the coming months. This is a similar version of the Half Moon Bay Ritz-Carlton near the ocean kind of like a cliff side location. Keep in mind this property is about 12 miles away from Santa Barbara but there seems to be a Ubers going back and forth for about $20 verses for a $45 cab ride which isn't bad. They also have a universal charging system for EV cars. We also did a morning hike right outside the property on a trail overlooking the ocean. The hike is quite short less than three quarters of a mile with a little bit of incline, but breathtaking views. They also have outdoor showers when you come back from this hike or the beach so you can hop right into the pool.

Breathtakingly beautiful grounds and facility. My experience has always been 5 star. Unfortunately, things have fallen off. Everyone has to deal with Covid but much more inferior brands have figured out simple things like coffee, restaurant selection, etc.

I'm totally upset l booked a reservation for my son and his newlyweds wife For a one day stay at your hotel. However
, when l booked it l was never told your limitations. I'm asking for a full refund #95850899 immediately.. Your customer service was unacceptable , l should have been informed by booking.
Very unsatisfied customer., and was on hold with Chrissy for 25 minutes and she put me on hold and never came back. That call was June 9, 2020 pacific time at 10: 29pm. Thank you for disappointing honeymoon night.

Our room was close to the freeway and consequently the noise could not be worse. Unfortunately our room did not have adequate sound insulation.
The mattress was sharply used because of the sinking marks where the bodies lay.
Cleanliness and other comforts of the room are very good which justifies 3 stars in my assessment.
I do not recommend staying here.

We were hesitant to go since there has been so many bad reviews recently but I am here to say it was amazing. The hotel is very delivery about making sure everyone is wearing masks and keeping their distance. It s a little hard to get through by phone when there the staff is super friendly and are on top of it. The rooms are older style so we brought cleaning supplies and I cleaned all the surfaces for my piece of mind. But other than that everything was super organized and safe. I recommend making reservations for breakfast and dinners and seating is super limited, otherwise there is a big wait. Other than that it is great and I really appreciate their follow up with people to keep masks on at all times. We had a great time.

What a great hotel! I spent 3 days here and didn't want to leave. The entire staff was amazing in particular Manny and Maria at the poolside bar who brought us delicious food and tasty drinks. I will be back

Went to enjoyed a glass of wine at Foley wine tasting room. They poured it into a glass that allowed us to walk the grounds and enjoy our wine. I suggest walking down to the beach and people watch.

How the mighty have fallen. This once grand lady of the coast has turned into an hourly lady of the night. The econo lodge and a sheet deposit is challenging Bacara for customer experience although the lack of bed bugs may push Bacara ahead (by a nose).

This establishment does not have the staff to operate. Check in takes an hour. Want a ride to your room? hah as if. Order a diet coke at the pool, it will never arrive. Steak dinner at the "fancy" restaurant, the sides are forgotten and they put them on the bill anyway.

This place hates babies. There are no changing tables. The staff makes fun of young mothers. Our pasta was spiced with pepper just to see how the kids would respond. Hashtag not good. Next time in SB I'm staying at the Y.

Stayed at the Ritz Bacara during January and enjoyed my stay but would say that the room is over priced. The grounds are the big draw and are amazing with a fairly private beach, great pools and cabanas and some breathtaking views. It's also very private and the staff are super helpful. The downside is the steepparking/valet fee (you're miles from anything) and the general room condition considering this is a major resort. Shower was subpar (water pressure weak on the ground floor and only two temperatures - very hot or lukewarm water), sheets a little scratchy and oddly laid out room (bathtub open to the main bedroom). We didn't eat at the premeire restaurant Angel Oak, but the other onsite options were highly priced and not really mind blowing in terms of menu or taste. If they updated/redid the rooms I might consider staying here again, it's a fantastic property.

Hotel needs the Ritz Carlton touch, unfortunately it's not there yet. Beautiful setting, staff is very friendly and courteous but rooms need upgrading as do all the common space. Food was barely edible...If (when) the Ritz Carlton does their thing we're back but not until
