if you take your vehicle here to be worked on, I would suggest taking photo's of the outside and inside of the engine bay area before leaving it in their hands.
I recently had my vehicle repaired here after a lifter collapsed, when I came to pick it up, I noticed the cap for my washer fluid reservoir was missing (the repair involves removing the reservoir, intake, moving A/C lines, exhaust manifold etc) and the hub cap for my front passenger side tire was damaged (it was barely hanging on because they broke the locking tabs on the inside). When I brought up the issues I found to Ryan (Service Writer) he was pretty quick to drop his "nice guy" persona and become very condescending, especially when I pointed out that there were still bolts sitting inside the engine bay that weren't even put back into their proper locations or when I mentioned the broken hubcap. Hubcap's do generally wear out over time, however, if you or anyone else has owned a Trailblazer or Envoy, the caps go on a certain way when they are in the lock position, here they pretty much didn't bother doing that and broke the locking tabs and said I brought the truck with the hub cap falling off, it was perfectly fine and still locked tightly to the rim when it was in my possession. The biggest issue I had was that the Mechanic (who did the repair work) and Ryan were quick to point the finger at me and say I brought the vehicle in with the parts missing/broken already when that wasn't the case. I could of taken it to another shop to have the work done, but I felt more comfortable leaving it in more capable hands, especially when you paying for what is supposedly "top-notch" service, and obviously you expect your vehicle to be returned in the same condition it was in when you dropped it off, not have it returned with accessories or parts missing/broken. (unfortunately that isn't the case for what I went through) I do what I can to maintain the up keep of my vehicles, if something is missing or out of place I would know right away.
The Mechanic's excuse for the bolts was "Oh I must of missed them". I'm sorry, but I know its hard to keep track of everything under the hood due to how extensive the work is, but don't put on the paper work that the vehicle passed a "multi-point inspection" if you didn't even bother inspecting it after finishing the job, and if it were inspected, there is NO EXCUSE for having loose bolts rolling around the engine bay area. I now have an appointment set up at a more reputable dealership to do a full service inspection to correct the mess these guys created. I know my situation is probably a 1 out 1,000 chance of happening to someone else, but always take before/after pictures so if you do find something out of place, you have something to fight with since they refuse to admit fault to anything. Unfortunately for them, they couldn't pull the typical routine of trying to take advantage of someone that is uninformed, and then turn tail when they're busted.
