Stayed here while the strike was going on and i was very dissatisfied, charged full price but no room service available, limited housekeeping, and the picketers made for an awkward stay. I wish we had been notified of the strike, I would have opted to stay elsewhere

we had a mixed experience at this hotel. the good things about this hotel were that it was big, the lobby was nice, direct access to Riverwalk and has nice views from room. the elevators were also very fast. the bad things are: the room was very old and outdated. the ac door was not closing, still open. the bathroom had an old tub and was very small in size. the toilet was way too low and was old. there was only one sink also and the faucet was very loud. the ihome clock wasn't working. the iPhone charger wasn't working on it. the customer service needs improvement. they didn't know what things they put in the room and couldn't understand us. we had asked for a turndown service and when we came back at night, nothing happened. the Chicago burger company food was bland and tasteless but it was on the river walk so nice location. we had breakfast in the club lounge and it was so crowded and there were only 2 people working. either they should let fewer people come in or have more people working. the pool area was nice, though the floor was slippery. the water was very fuzzy though, they need to clean it better. overall, it was good enough but needs more improvement.

We enjoyed our stay in December. Unfortunately, the pool was under maintenance and we had specifically booked it for the pool, but the 3rd party website didn't notify us of this. We didn't find out until a confirmation email was sent a few days before the actual reservation. We were given a $50 credit for this so that was alright since we could use it for any hotel expenses (we used it for the valet). Otherwise, we really enjoyed the complimentary gingerbread house decorating and hot cocoa/cookies with it and the overall service. My kids' birthday was on the 23rd and I had talked to the concierge the night before (regarding hot chocolate service) and he had a surprise for us the next day of brownies with a candle and balloons delivered to our room that following morning! It was a perfect treat for my 3 and 6 year old's birthdays! Thanks!

Yes!Everyone agrees,as we do that the location and view from the upper floors is an awesome sight, but what most touched us was the outstanding friendliness and service that we received! Normally,it seems that mega hotels we have stayed at in the past or just too big and busy to really concentrate on individuals the way they should, but not this one.We stayed there on our 40th anniversary weekend and they made sure we had a special time! We met, in particular a concierge lady named Susan, who set us up with a dinner reservation at Eddie D's.She had them reserve us a table right by the Jazz musicians, which my wife loves to listen to.After she let them know it was our anniversary, they in turn all signed a card for us and set it among rose pedals in the center of our table, plus they served us a couple of complimentory items..,ALL because they knew who Susan was and we benifited from her good service and good heart! We wish we could have gotten her full name so that we could personally write her a thank you note and let the hotel management know what a great asset she is!WE WILL definitely recommend the Sheraton Chicago to all those that we talk to back in Texas!!

The rooms at the Sheraton are great. They are pretty big with a living space with a desk and all and i had no comnplains about the beds. Slept great. Staff was great as well. Loved the complimentary breakfast and snacks in the afternoon.

My best friend and I stayed here for our Chicago getaway and the service was fantastic. An employee named Vincent at the front desk was sooo nice. The facilities are clean and very nice. We had a lovely view, looking at the water...beautiful.

The Sheraton Grand has grown to be one of my favorite hotels downtown Chicago. Not only have I always been treated with respect, and dignity, by staff, but the location just a few blocks from the pier, a movie theatre, an arcade and the heart of downtown, it really takes the cake.

My favorite thing about Sheraton is the lake view. There is nothing like a Sheraton Sunrise :)

Expect to spend an extra $70 on top of room rate just for parking, even if booking website said parking is included. Then found a random nut from a bolt wedged under hood of vehicle. Lastly beds were not comfortable at all. It was clean and staff was mostly alright except part about double charge for parking. I wouldn't recommend just based on being deceived about parking.

Location and view is fantastic. They have nice staff and nice facilities. The only thing I could be nitpicky about is there is some mold in the shower and both days after the cleaners left, they forgot a bag of the old linens and trash. Overall it's been a great experience.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 days. Very clean hotel. The rooms are nice. The staff from valet to the registration desk including housekeeping were very helpful.
Beautiful view of the river. Short walking distance to restaurants and major grocery chain.

Location is the main thing here - the hotel is positioned right on the Riverwalk with 10-15 min walking distance to Millennium Park, Hancock Tower and Navy Pier. Really cool area and slightly removed from those downtown crowds. Rooms could use some renovation (unless you love the 90' feel), hence 4 . Still, this is a highly recommended place to stay in downtown Chicago.

Very friendly staff. Room was spacious and clean. Beautiful view. Was there for a conference and although you could tell that they were trying to figure things out (it was the first year of the conference there), they were very polite and helpful.

Attended a conference at this hotel. It was a pleasant experience and staff were helpful. The building layout was a bit confusing. The food served was amazing compared to other conferences I have attended.

Great hotel located in the city. Big and great for weekends with family. Rooms are spacious and absolutely loved the suites. Amenities were great such as the gym with Sauna, pool and the club lounge. Some rooms also have a great river view. Staff are also very friendly and helpful.

Solid hotel in an excellent location. It was only a 10-15 minute walk to Grant Park where we were going to Lollapalooza. I booked it through the Marriott Bonvoy page which was straightforward. Check in starts at 4 but they were kind enough to let us check in early for no additional cost when we were there at 8am (we had taken a red eye and landed that morning). The elevators don t require a key card which made it convenient to go up and down. The room itself was nice as it faced the river and included three sets of towels, which was a bit odd since the room was booked for four people. The view was really nice as it faced the river and the city skyline. The beds were comfortable although the comforter is too thick to use for a summer night in Chicago. The bathtub was slow to drain but overall the room was solid. I liked the lighted mirrors in the bathroom as you could take photos with good lighting. We had to ask for an electric kettle to make tea although the room did come already equipped with a coffee maker. There was a complimentary water bottle for Marriott Bonvoy members as well as a stocked mini bar and Fiji water/snacks for purchase that was sensored. Mini fridges are available by request. They did send up slippers and an extra towel set when we called concierge but they won t send up utensils - go to the second floor Starbucks for that. There is a luggage storage room on the left hand side of the lobby when you enter. The WiFi was passable although it did disconnect once.

Disappointed with my stay. Rooms are dirty, thin walls, and the rooms are supposedly updated but it's dark, depressing and furniture/decor has a cheap look. No fan in the bathroom and carpets are dirty. Overall I won't return. You can also hear people use the bathroom all night when they shower, turn sinks on or flush or are talking. The hallway ceilings have damaged. Whoever is in charge of this building does not care. We usually stay at Hyatt Centric which has bigger rooms and friendly staff. I gave 2 stars because of the firework display in front of my room, 2049.

This hotel is top notch. It is huge enough for very large conventions. They have the huge ballrooms as well as smaller conference rooms. The room I had was spacious and comfortable. I wish I had that bed at home. The rooms don't have mini fridges in them when you check in but you can ask and one will be brought to you. Maid service was slow but very good. The bar and restaurants are terribly expensive but you already knew that.

We had a comfortable stay at the Sheraton and enjoyed the location. However, I took off a star because upon check in we were told there were no more king rooms available although this is what we reserved. We were told it is customary to call the hotel and say specifically that this is the type of room you actually want, otherwise they assume they can move you around. I have never heard of another hotel having this expectation. To their credit, we were moved to a king room the second night, but only after following up with management (who said it would not be possible as they were full... then magically found a king room for us 2 minutes later). Overall, this is a high quality hotel in a great location with nice rooms and facilities. My only hesitation about staying here again would be worry about their overbooking. I noticed others having this same issue at check in as well.

Rooms aren't anything special for the price, decent enough though. Bar staff was aloof and I had to prompt them three times to add a drink to my bill they left off, kind of ridiculous. Then money was stolen from my car while under the care of valet service. Probably won't be coming back here.

If anybody is trying to find good deals for hotels visit HotelBuIIy. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!

Loved this hotel and the staff. Great views and we upgraded for Club Access (cheaper than a Club Room; ie, you can visit the Club, but aren t on that floor) - it s a great deal. Ideal location for all the main attractions. My teenage kids loved it. Even has a fun store with Cubs Hawaiian shirts! We will be back.

Room was clean however there was no temp control from the room to the conference room where we were for 3 days, it was a refrigerator to the point that the people in the conference room were wearing jackets! The room that we stayed in would go from cool to really hot without changing the thermostat

Carpet has not been vacuumed for about 10 years. Also, bring your own pillows unless you like sleeping without pillows. The bathroom has no ventilation and the condensation from a 2 minute shower will turn your bathroom into a sauna/steam room.

This place was way too expensive for what it was worth. Do not bother with Club Rooms here, what a waste! Nothing extra included except a lame continental breakfast, water/soda (not even nice non alcoholic drink options), no free alcohol drinks for club rooms. And i had to fight with them to take off $150 of wifi charges! Don't get me started on the fees they charged me to hold a package that was sent to me, which they never informed me of, the front desk is clueless and will try to upgrade you to a club room.. Save your money
