Very beautiful hotel. Rooms were clean and inviting but the beds are very uncomfortable I woke up in pain both mornings. The food at their restaurant is only okay, frankly not worth it for the money. Overall not a place I would choose to stay again.

My room on 3rd floor sounded like it had mice running through the ceiling. Also numerous marks on the white walls easily noticable when I checked in, there was about an 8" rip in the curtain, and about a 3" strip of duct tape covering what must have been a hole in the ceiling. The pool and the bar were wet too. Always a plus. Continental breakfast was only a few various baked goods/desserts, yogurt, and coffee/tea/juices. The grand foyer is open and fairly elegant looking with a large staircase winding up the right side. Would stay here again in the future if in the area because costed less than $200/night.

I just had my wedding here this Friday and this venue exceeded EVERY expectation. From the very beginning of the process Gail and Suzanne were the most helpful, sweet, and caring ladies you could possibly wish to work with. I didn't know the first thing about planning a wedding but they were there for me every step of the way and made it so easy. Suzanne was actually the one who helped me find my amazing photographer. The venue itself is beautiful and was the perfect size for my 70 guests. The coordinators and the serving staff were awesome and very professional. Before we joined the reception my dress needed to be bustled and Suzanne was sweet enough to help my maid of honors with the not so easy task. The food was amazing and they were kind enough to bring 2 full entrees to our suite including our slices of wedding cake we had not had a chance to enjoy. The suite was very large and cozy and we enjoyed finding that our card box and gifts had been delivered to the room so we could open a couple when we awoke the next morning. It was truly the best experience of our lives and if you have the opportunity to get married here you couldn't ask for a better venue!

This hotel was great! Great service, spacious room and exactly how the pictures look like. They have a very big pool. I visited during the pandemic, so I think that s why they didn t have many options for breakfast but it was awesome.

Very cute hotel. The staff is very attentive and pleasant. No complaints about the room. There is a small green area with benches and a life size chess setup, I went through it on a morning run around the property. My partner and I stayed here for two nights in July 2018. We ate at the in-house restaurants, and the food was very good. The continental breakfast was simple but tasty. Only thing is that the coffee was incredibly weak, so we looked elsewhere for coffee. (The restaurant s espresso is good, however.)

We don t drive, and on seeing there are cute coffee shops in the old part of Avon, we tried walking there. It was a mile, half of which is a harrowing walk on the highway shoulder, so we got a car back.

Even for non-drivers like us, it was a fine location considering this is a small town.

Had a fantastic Easter brunch here. It wasn't crowded to the point of discomfort but instead had a very manageable flow of people. There was a great spread of food options and everything I tried was great. I had ham from the carving station, eggs Benedict, roasted vegetables, and several other brunch buffet items. The Easter bunny was walking around interacting with the kids frequently. He gave them a good amount of candy. This was a good value given the selection and quality of food as well as the atmosphere. The hotel is very elegant. Would definitely go back here for brunch.

The rooms in the old motel section are quite old and out dated. All the furniture is scratched, the carpets and furniture is stained, over powering smell of mysterious musty odor, and a lousy bed with a loose head board. Also just to make it more miserable there was a ceiling leak in the bathroom above the toilet which must have been coming from the toilet in the room upstairs. I complained to the front desk and asked for another room. I was told they were full. I was offered no other alternatives or compensation. Going some where else was not an option as we booked a block of rooms for a wedding party. So we could all be together. Things could have been worse though due to a group of guys piling into the room next door with 6 coolers, cases and cases of beer, and bottles of booze. After reading about groups getting drunk and being loud I told these guys I wasn t putting up with any nonsense. They decided to switch rooms which was a good idea for them. All in all next time for the money I ll stick with a chain, at least they have standards.

Have stayed here a few times now, nice old charm hotel. Has a beautiful pool in the back with food and drink service. The area has great amenities plenty of things to do. We always stay here when we come up for rafting trips. They also do large events as we always run into a wedding or other party.

Stayed overnight for a friend's wedding. The grounds were very nice and the ceremony site was beautiful! The ballroom was also very nice and had a door to an out door covered and uncovered patio. This was a nice touch and made the reception that much better. The room was an older Victorian style and was a bit out dated. The AC was a window unit and didn't cool the room properly. Staff was super friendly!

This is not a usual hotel, it is like a palace. The music, pictures, furniture, clean rooms, good food. They have a small book in the room about the history of the hotel and how they started this long time a go, I mean it is a family business not like other hotels. You can feel and smell the history in the place and yes they have a great fragrance in the hotel. Amazing

I went for a wedding and the rooms were great, but what really shined was the staff. They could not have been more accommodating to everyone for the wedding from the bar tender who took care of us after the wedding to the front desk agent who set up us to hang out after the bar had to close. Top notch all around!

In town for memorial. Third time we stayed there. 1st was great, upstairs in building. Came again in late October. Motel type room, but only stayed one night, so no biggie. Came in December with family. Requested main building. We had rooms 116 and 121. 116 smelled like mildew. So we changed to 120. Smelled less. My other family member complained about their room smelling like fish. We will not be going back, even though staff was great. Heating was antiquated.

An old fashioned experience in a modern hotel. We had a wonderful small family reunion for 4 days. The grounds are gorgeous and the pool was perfect. The only annoyance was breakfast on a Saturday morning. Do not pay for the buffet as the options are very very limited and the French Toast is dry and thin. Instead, order from the menu, it has many more options and the Belgian waffles are as good as huge had. The hotel sits on 20 acres of hilly, woodsy land and is an adventure for young children who will not soon forget their time at Avon Old Hotel.

Great budget hotel with a beautiful outdoor pool. The pool needs some maintenance, but the setting can t be beat. Lots to do in the area and we will definitely come back. Rooms are a little run down, but in this price category to be expected.

Extremely friendly staff...great for small groups with lots of outdoor spaces. The restaurant is a bit overpriced but plenty of local delivery options. Rooms are small and the Lower level rooms are damp but they have dehumidifiers. Make sure you ask for a refrigerator, not all rooms have one.

Stayed here for our wedding night. Came in around midnight, the toilet was broken and it took us forever to find the room.
Love this place overall though for it's classic rooms and decor. Great location too.

Attended a retreat here. Very nice except it was freezing in the room where they served lunch. Beautiful view. I suggest space heaters if you can't heat it properly another way. I hate eating when i am cold. Good food tho.

Had my wedding at Avon Old Farms Hotel in June. Everything from the food to the staff were excellent. The only slight irritation was our wedding coordinator Gail. Originally she was wonderful, very warm and friendly, accommodating. We enjoyed talking and emailing with her and her assistant Suzanne. However on the day of our wedding she was snappy and had an irritated attitude every time I spoke with her. In the end she was even snippy with my mother which was the near breaking point for me if my Maid of Honor hadn't stepped in. For the rest of the afternoon my Maid of Honor was the one who spoke with her since she was causing me anxiety. Her assistant Suzanne on the other hand was above and beyond fabulous. Any questions I had or inquiries were answered immediately and with a smile. She even was with us while we were having our wedding pictures taken offering us beverages and trays of appetizers even though that isn't her job. For anyone looking to schedule a wedding or celebration here I do highly recommend Avon Old Farms Hotel. Though I do suggest talking/working with Suzanne more than Gail.

My family and I stayed here on August 9th 2013 in room # 402. It was HIGHLY OVERPRICED and HIGHLY OVERRATED! How anyone could give this Hotel even close to three stars is unimaginable!
They had the GALL to charge us 129.00 for this room which was decorated CIRCA 1970! It was a room for pets as we brought our well trained Australian Sheppard with our two kids aged 14 and 10. The room smelled horribly of mold. The AC floor unit was so old and decrepit that only one of the 4 push buttons worked at all and when it was running the entire room smelled mold! Then they had further GALL to charge us 20 dollars additional for a roll away bed for my daughter! Really??? Total tab for one night stay including State occupancy tax was $171.35 for this FLEABAG motel! Gross! Will NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! YUK! :-(

We hosted our rehearsal dinner and farewell breakfast here for our wedding! We also blocked rooms for our guests. We had such a great experience from start to finish here! Every detail was planned out in detail and easily. The staff are so helpful and made the planning process simple! We also used the transportation to get to our ceremony and reception, the driver was so much fun!

The food was amazing, rooms were beautiful, grounds and inside were perfect for wedding photos (and our first look!), and again i did not feel stressed with any of the details due to how helpful everyone was. absolutely recommend this hotel if you are looking for something unique!

Well I was on business in Canton for a week and the Avon Old Farms Hotel is fabulous. It has an old world charm in the staff and the building and the lobby. It is oh so very clean and the room was big, comfy, well kept, clean, and stocked. This is a place I will stay again when I travel to the area. The Wi-Fi works great, the bar and restaurant are just down the hall and again the staff is exceptionally helpful. I just want to thank the staff for what they do. They deliver and do it well. me thinks I might sound like an advertisement however, this is the hotel I found after reading reviews and checking prices and as I have stated - This is a wonderful place to stay!

We had our wedding here on Sept 6 2015. The venue was amazing and the staff was superb and accommodating. Our guests were very pleased with their rooms and we got a chance to see inside many of them. The rooms were all very comfortable and clean. Highly recommend an overnight stay here and especially allowing them to host your special event!

Was there for a wedding in the Towpath ballroom. The room is spacious and well kept. The food served was also great. Outdoors behind the hotel was serene. There's a walking path, gazebo, and a large chess set out there.
