This school will only contact you if they need there money, some instructors are subpar and literally everything is outdated. Sad that I gotta pay this much for a A&P license but can t wait to get out of here and pay them what I owe them.

I am a veteran that recently attended that school and I'm so glad I wasn't there for long. This place loves a veterans money but not the veteran. This school does not allow freedom of speech and will have you removed by law enforcement if your political views do not align with theirs. While I was attending I can honestly say that the school was a waste of my time and G.I. Bill.

I currently attend AIM in Houston during the evening. If for any reason you do decide to attempt a rewarding career in aviation industry do some research on the school you go to. Remember that the recruiters are not your friends, they will say whatever they can to get you to join. When you do come and take a tour of the facilities don't be afraid to ask the students what they feel and how they are treated. Some of the reviews here on Google are fake some have very real truths behind them. As I said before just do your research and make an informed decision.

Michael Kennedy is an awesome intake coordinator/recruiter/staff. How influence is warm and welcoming. It's important to embody compassion when working with young people who sometimes appear as indecisive and displaced. He is patient and ensures there are no "dumb questions". My son chose AIM thanks to my brother who is a mechanic and who has such a positive influence on my boys and to Mr. Kennedy who made the process seamless

Great school, for Veteran's they explain everything in detail way before you commit to the school. They are very strict on attendance but that is an FAA thing for this type of school. Career Services is on it! Any time I have had a question, I got a response quickly.

These guys are great. Nice and they make sure to describe everything in intricate detail so that you know what you need to expect. Warning, the test facilitator is nowhere near as funny as he thinks he is .

I read allot of reviews before attending this school and also questioned in attending but upon further review of the people leaving negative reviews i learned that people that dropped out and or got kicked out of the school are people that would not take there education serious. YES !!! they have 2-3 bad instructors but the rest are GREAT !!!! and are passionate about aviation and if you are willing to learn they are willing to teach keep in mind some of these instructors have never been teachers , they are mechanics and they DO know the stuff when it comes to talking about the material. I got my A&P License and the school helped me with a job placement highly recommend people to attend only if you are serious and passionate for aviation and knowledge. At the end of the day the school will not just give you your license you have to earn it

I've first enrolled in AIM in the summer of 2016 despite the negative reviews in Google. I told myself after I graduate I would try to leave my honest opinion to lead people into the right choice. So here's my take on this.

I received my A&P September of 2018 and have worked in the field just over a year. Compared to other schools or programs my colleagues have attended, AIM is by far the poorest choice one can make. First in being the resources provided by the school and its ridiculous price. As of this year the tuition is around $50,000, almost 6X the amount one would get in a community college and for the same level of education.

The instructors are by no means teachers but have acceptable amount of years in the field and have a good amount of knowledge to pass down but for anybody new to the field an actual physical example would be nice to have to grasp a complex concept something this school rarely provides. Other institutes such as MIAT have similar tuition ,yet can provide better equipment and even provide students SNAP ON tools to keep after they finish their classes (again for the SAME tuition). If I known about this I would not have enrolled in this school. The fact that I had to share a hand held tool box with Craftsman tools with a group of 5 individuals is out right pitiful and serve no good purpose for hands on training.

If you are not mechanically inclined than this school is not for you as experience is expected in this industry. Also embrace the idea of having to move out of Houston or even Texas to find a high paying job as this industry is competitive and most companies would want a person to have at least one year of experience.

If anybody is serious to become an Aircraft mechanic there are other options such as attending an apprentice ship program, or one can even be hired as a helper and can get their hours (equivalent to the amount in AIM, 2 years) in working on aircrafts same as a mechanic would and it will also give you a taste in what to expect on this field. Not to mention you will get paid rather than being in debt.

I don't want to discourage anybody. I just want to give out my experience as I was in the same position trying to make a decision. The only people I recommend to be in this school are veterans who have experience.

I have graduated and gotten my A&P at this school. If you put in the work and effort, you will make it. There are some fantastic teachers here, but there are also 2 or 3 bad ones. That being said, a lot of the course work is actually research and reading. There are hands on projects, but you WILL have to read and provide references when completing them. Many people do not actually graduate or get their license, and it's not the school's fault. A handful of students are disruptive and rude, and do not pay attention, or do their work. The teachers will tutor you if you struggle, and there are many materials provided to you that give you more than enough to succeed.
