I recorded my first album at power station in 1979 . I was the drummer for Sterling on A&M records. What a great experience.

If you're in the music/audio production business you surely know Power Station (formerly the famed Avatar Studios). It has one of the greatest live rooms in Studio A with it's famous high peak cathedral ceiling (use those mics!) in a floor to ceiling wood paneled large space with 3 ISO booths. Based sound a classic Neve Console.
Studio B is another favorite/SSL 9K room. What can I say, I love the gear, the rooms and the new staff is great. One of the only world class recording studios left in NYC.
Just did a session here the other day and it was fantastic- great assistants, solid gear and of course the Rt time of Studio B.
Thanks Power Station @ Berklee! Great session and as an alum, I wish you the best in the new digs and Reno plans!
Best studio in the United States, bar none. It's a shame it got closed down.
One of the last big rooms that you can book in NYC.
This place is great, hallowed halls for sure. If the walls of this place could talk, I'd be really interested to hear what they had to say. One of the last classic, large studio spaces left in NYC.
The most iconic recording studio facility in the city
Great setup with two studios that allow for intimate to grand studio production work and a very competent staff. Has coffee too.
I'm a videographer by trade, but went to school for audio engineering and music. I was fortunate to work on a video project documenting a Grammy winning artist's recording of a new work and was totally blown away by the rooms, microphone cabinet, etc. The engineers seemed quite knowledgeable and even with a full gospel choir lending their collective voices one of the evenings, there was plenty of room to breath and walk away from the the volume.
BerkleeNYC music is as fresh as it can be... Each note played by artists is to the perfection
Best recording studio & performance space in NYC. Top notch gear, amazing staff.
Great gear, awesome crew, the live room is all wood, great place to track just about anything. Legendary studio.
Staff is super awesome! Thank you Ben for all your help!
New York iconic recording studio, with one of the best rooms and microphones in the world
One of the oldest recording studios in NYC...so much history in each every studios
It was a studio where Straight Life was recorded, so I stopped by for a photo.
If you are artists or I do not recommend it, it is a very good place to go to do audio-visual projects
Had a live instruments w/ choir recording session here; it was AMAZING! One of the last remaining recording studios with the original decor.
State of the art recording studios; large traditional old studios which are becoming a dying breed.
