Avanti Hotel Review

Very clean. Friendly staff. Amenities sucked. No ice bucket. Door was extremely difficult to open. Room didnt look like website. Really dated interior. Power outlet not on lamp on table but on wall fixture light some 5 feet high. Bed was comfy

I do not recommend this Hotel unless you want to used for in and out, with another person

Really great resort. Would definitely go back. Food was great and so was the room. The pool was beautiful.

I stay in Florida about once a month, and at resorts, this is not a resort. This felt like a motel and a cheap one at that. The room I was given had a very uncomfortable bed. The tiles in the shower were cracked, the floor was covered in huge scratches and the our air conditioning unit would not turn off and between it and whatever the little white machine that was in the sink area , they were so loud that we had to shout to hear one another. I feel like for the price that I have stayed at better. After one evening walking in only my room barefoot my feet were black. Ants were enough to be annoying. Its also super loud and they do nothing to control the noise. Not happy.

We like this hotel. Stayed here Valentine's day 2020. Friendly staff at the desk, bar, and cafe. Nice heated pool great for the family. Housekeeping needs a little help but it appears they are in the middle of some renovations so maybe it will become even better.

I'm not going to say it's bad bad but there are some things that need improvement, the snack bar didn't put all the ingredients in a salad and the ones they did put in were wrong, we called to have outside our room cleaned because someone spilled a milkshake outside of our room no one came and we ended up cleaning it We called for towels several times finally after 10 hours someone brought us towels But the rooms are nice and the pool was nice and it's a nice area

Purchased a package through universals website and called to upgrade our room to a jacuzzi suite for our honeymoon. When we arrived they said they did not have a jacuzzi room availible. They said that those rooms are broken right now. Would have been nice for this to be communicated to us before we arrived. Can imagine our disappointment for our honeymoon. We were eventually compensated one nights stay. Would have stayed somewhere else if another hotel would have had something open. The shuttle is nice to have to universal. Kids are loud at the pool. Bar prices are expensive but the workers are nice.

We've stayed here just about every summer for the last 5 or 6 years. For the price it's a great hotel, in a great location. It has everything you'd need nearby.

I really enjoyed 2 attendants, Jacob and a girl who speaks Spanish, but the rest is all thick

Clean small Euro hotel. Outstanding service, all the amenities you need. Best possible location, easy to drive or walk to all the action, yet still pretty quiet and private. Nice view of the Eye from the pool. Their cafe/bar has a nice selection of dishes and drinks, and really delicious food.

Place is a joke wanted me to wait 2 hours to check in then wouldn't give me a refund STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS CLOWN RAN CIRCUS OF A BUSINESS !!!!!

Good location but really bad service, especially the room keepers. Left the room from 9:00 AM till 7:00 PM and the room still not serviced. Call front desk and was put on hold for half hour, transferred and got hang up, 3 times. I had to go to the front desk to have the attention. 1 hr later, the room still not serviced. Just came to the front desk the 2nd time, was promised another half hour. Would not come back here again even if it s free.

Hotel top. From the location the friendliness of the staff. Located in a great location on the international drive, close to restaurants, pharmacy, Wallmart, Outlets and Universal complex.
You receive free packages (as long as they are removed within 24 hours), with two super attentive employees, Jacob and Jun.
In room service the other day when returning from a park were all the stuffed animals we bought lying on the bed together and lying on the pillow, we felt at home to see that. Super I recommend the hotel.

To go to sleep is fine, comfortable rooms but no luxuries, just to get to rest only. The hotel has a good pool and bar until 10-12pm approx.

It was worth the money. Nice and clean close to a lot of Restaurants

Very disappointing, despite months of pre-reservation the rooms are not ready.
Were 4pm on site and sat for an hour in the front desk

Hotel super well located. Rooms and bathrooms large, everything new, just be careful with the bed sheet, because if you do not ask they do not exchange. There is also a Brazilian employee called Jacob the service was sensational.

Good hotel that's centrally located to all the major parks. There are a multitude of restaurants on International Drive within walking distance. The pool area is beautiful and the pool itself is large. Rooms were spacious. Our room was a little sticky with humidity however. Price was reasonable. Overall I liked Avanti, and would stay here again if in the area.

My stay was just Ok because
1. I didn t know it was two different Avanti s on international drive and this was NOT the one i wanted to stay at originally.
2. checked in on app and was able to check in early but arrived to the hotel and was told completely OPPOSITE!
3. Was told to come back in a hour and rooms will be available - came back and the line for check in / check out is literally out the door!! I lie to you not. I am still standing at the door waiting to check in with 26 people (i counted) in front of me..
4. Asked manager what was the hold up.. she replied guest are still checking out from 12pm it is currently 3:44pm.
Sooo.. i still have not seen my room and extremely upset with how the process is already.

Great price for a simple room. Nice pool. Hot tub barely warm though and room needed to be wiped down better, but they sent a housekeeper when requested.

I don't like this hotel! It s not for families, it is dirty and the marijuana odor is terrible! If you think is the best option for you! You are not right!

Just back from a 2 week holiday staying at the avanti would recommend it for a holiday the rooms are cleaned to a high standard each day , and are of a good size, the beds are large and comfortable, we had everything in our room that we needed and nothing was a problem to them. The staff were always happy and approachable.The pool is lovely and a good size.All in all would highly recommend it and i for one will be back

It took 45 minutes to check in then early Saturday morning around 2:30 am until 4:00am the people in the room next to us was drunk and fighting outside we call front desk they sent someone but as time as they left they started back up and it smelled like weed the whole time we was there. Saturday night someone was beating his wife. Trying to get someone to call back is like pulling teeth from tiger. I will not be stay here again. The food was good and the bar was the best and the guys who cook the food was very good. We had no shower curtain

Very beautiful resort kids,finally love something gud I did until a true d of our decided to cancel our next day reservation everyone was cool and nice but one of them but Thomas is an awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome person who has the right heart God bless him.

Loved it, but breakfast could of been better for 25.00 or more selections especially since we prepaid for it.

Don't let the lobby fool you. The resort presents itself as a modern resort. But once you get past the lobby, the passageways are dirty, and the rooms are nothing better than what you'd find in a Motel 6. The air conditioner was super loud and the fan in the bathroom (which turns on automatically with the light) sounds like a chainsaw. There are stains on the doors, towels and linens are cheap and rough, and the bathroom never seemed clean. We came back to our room after 12 hours at the park only to find our room keys had deactivated. I called the front desk to have them send someone up with new keys. No apologies, but the bellman actually laughed when he brought the keys up. Bad form, Avanti.

Big rip-off. This place calls itself a resort but the experience is no better than any cheap motel. The bedrooms aren't bad, the furniture seems to have been updated, but clearly nothing else was. The outside looks old and decrepit, the bathroom is stained, grimy and cramped, and the wifi does not work for any of our devices.
The cleanliness of our room was also questionable at best.
It's basically an oversized roadside motel with a big pool in the middle.
Absolutely not worth the $100 we paid for the night.

We used stay here a lot.seems like they getting greedy.the room service was one of the worst I ever had in a while.rooms service cleaning lady showed up after 5 PM asking if we want room to be clean.Are you kidding me??

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights; we enjoyed the pool and bar, but the room wasn't as cozy as I saw in the pictures and we stayed near the pool where the entrance was--all night we could hear the gate slamming shut and opening back up. Though the room wasn't cozy and we didn't sleep very well, everyone was really helpful and nice! I would stay here again, but not for the same price.

Checking out today and this has been a great experience. Quick and excellent customer service nice pool with bar n restaurant.

This place is a scam. They first told us this was a Universal Studios resort...LIE!!!! The check in and customer service was fast and easy however...When we were walking to our hotel room we saw yellow and brown stains all over the doors and walls, it was disgusting. When we arrived at our room it smelled like rotten mold then I had to use the bathroom and omg I have never seen a bathroom so moldy and dirty looking. First, I saw stains by the hangers, the toilet and bath area was awful as well the toilet had old pee stains and I could barely even flush, the towels were denchy and dirty, the tub had a black ring around it, the door had no lock what so ever the crease of the door was rusty and I could see how they tried to paint over it also that was due to the reason I could barely even close the door to pee. I came out and my cousin turned the light on and there was only one light and it was dimmed and the light is at the entry of the room. The room had mold and there was green and yellow stains on the walls and floor. My cousin and I looked on the floor and saw sprinkles all over, the air condition was attached to the window with nasty black things on it. Now we began to be very upset and suspicious about his room, so we went to confront them, she then gave us another room which was even worse. We left and called a family member because we could not stay in that drab of a place it was, he then but us on a call with another man from West Gates, we told him were we currently were his exact words were I would not recommend that place. We are now staying at a way better place were we are comfortable. If I could I would give this place zero stars, listen to the reviews not the fake pictures. Me and my family are satisfied with where we are now.

Visited friends while in town. Hotel is centrally located on i-drive and good walking distance from an array of restaurants. Rooms looked like they were pretty nice.

Great rooms, spacious and clean. Pool heated, towels available. Pool bar not the cheapest but good selection. Going back at end of our road trip

Let me just say the location is great! The staff seems pretty friendly at the front desk. And that's pretty much the only thing it has going for it.

The term "Resort" is used very loosely here. It's a motel with a pool and (supposedly) a gameroom. My room, upon checking in, was not very clean. It was surface level clean. I.e., the bathroom was severely lacking, the floors weren't swept or mopped, and the counters were dirty in the rhe corners. The bed was made though. It's questionable whether or not the sheets were fresh and clean.

If you just need a place to stay that's close to major attractions, it does the job. If you want to stay at a resort, complete with resort features, stay somewhere else.

Front desk is great . Location is awesome . The room.. not so much
The bathroom door did not fully close. The room was fairly dirty. Our room didn't even have a desk chair as I've seen others have them but broken.
If you are looking for a budget hotel honestly just do motel 6 etc in the area which is less and you will at least know what you are paying for. If you'd prefer something higher end just shell out the extra 20-40 a night and go to one of the higher endish ones in the area.
If you already booked request a higher floor. Ground floor is crazy loud at night due to cars checking in.

It was a nice resort. The rooms were ok. The bar, pool, and restaurant really made this place a nice memorable experience.

We had several issues with this hotel.
We were only given decaff coffee.
The TV is terrible, and all the channels have poor signal. No "guide" button on remote. Takes a long time to change channels. Volume does not get loud enough.
The microwave is tiny and beat up. (Honestly not a big deal.)
There 2 open outlets and they were not near the bed. There is one open outlet behind the bed, which required us to pull the bed out in order to access it. I thought all hotels had outlets on the bedside lights these days, but apparently not. (Obviously no USB ports either.)
There is this strange table with metal bars across the top that does not seem to be good for anything. Odd.
Our dehumidifier was loud and eventually would not turn on. When we asked for it to be fixed, no one came.
We asked for more coffee cups, but no one came.
The shower is small, dimly lit, and has no fan.
The floors were dirty. We couldn't walk around barefoot.

This was probably the worst hotel I've stayed at.

EDIT1: I forgot to mention that when we arrived the toilet was clogged. Also, the wifi is unprotected, slow, and kicks you off often. The outlets we had access to were flimsy and our chargers kept falling out.

EDIT2: The flat bread sandwiches at the cafe start at $11 and the employee just yelled at a customer who did nothing wrong.

EDIT3: One of the bedside lamps doesn't even have an outlet for it so it just sits there in the dark lol. Okay I can't in good conscience keep this rating at 2 stars.

A great stay! The room is very spacious, the bathroom is a bit small and the pool area is very good and very pleasant. A good hotel option in Orlando.

Great location, clean comfortable rooms and great friendly staff. Our 1st choice of hotel when we visit Florida.

Note: This is a pretty old property & the rooms are renovated. It could be better for the price charged. Bathrooms are not spacious and are similar to apartment homes. The rooms are of a studio size apartment. Location is very close to I-4 & near to the international drive business.

I ve stayed at the Avanti a few times now and love it each time. I stay there during a swim meet at the Y which is right down the street so that is great! But also it s a nice hotel, the rooms are updated and the pool is wonderful to cool off in with the Florida heat. Also the last thing I will mention, though it can be pricy, the food bar by the pool had great food when relaxing, you don t have to leave the hotel to get food!

Average hotel. There's only one elevator per block. The service is very good. Standard cleaning USA.

Clean rooms, some equipment needs maintenance or is very outdated. Depending on the rooms - very noisy. Friendly personal most of the time.

This place is in really rough shape... elevator doesn't work, bugs all over the exterior (thankfully only a few inside), not enough towels, plenty of hot water... but each room has its own water heater... it rattled most of the night. Won't stay here again.

Can t say much about the property, as I ve been standing in the lobby for 45+ minutes waiting in line to check in. Only 15 people left ahead of us...

Nice hotel, spacious king bed room, hairdryer didnt work and a leak near tub when we came in with a dehumidifier in bathroom, otherwise, pool right outside room, nice bar and grill, food decent,wings great. Clean updated rooms.

Ac didn't work , rv didn't work even after calling for a remote ,only one freaking towel for three people , no blankets on the bed , very dissatisfied do not stay here.

I m coming from Miami so I only booked a one night stay. I read the reviews and still went ahead and booked a quick stay. Price was reasonable but first room had a horrible smell and found mold on the ceiling, pretty much everywhere. We were placed in a second room which was better but the room felt very humid. The ice machine didn t work, abandoned hotel on the right side of the hotel. This hotel seems to be getting renovations so there were a lot of old mixed with new. The front desk is awesome. I just wanted to be able to book and not have any issues. I honestly wouldn t stay here again.

The place is nice and clean. Convenient to everything. I think their housekeeping service need improvement. The housekeeper came to my room, I told her I didn't want my room clean. I told her I needed washcloths and towels. She handed me 3 washcloths and 1 towel. I told her it's 3 ppl in the room, and she said that's all I have. She looked at me like, I know you don't want to go get more towels. I gave her the washcloths back and closed the door. Every resort I've been to the housekeeping service usually the most pleasant. Avanti get some training going with your staff

Worst hotel ever. Worst service. Smokers everywhere (no hotel is smoke free) but nobody does anything. After complaining about this situation I felt beyond badly attended very insecure because I saw that the hotel is very badly attended and there are reports of internet robbery. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Pool was nice for the kids. Room was filthy. Toilet was disgusting, floor dirty. Would not stay again.

Not the best but nice pool and close to a lot of attractions. Will go again!
