First time in about 3 years we visited. It's changed and improved in alot of areas and exhibits. The African exhibit is really great for the kids as it all open and easy for viewing. We done a paid tour this time, well worth it!

The animals look so sad and bored in the enclosures. Made me very sad to see this and knowing people spend money to see this.
Watch the seals doing laps of the pools , you can see how bored they are. Not natural.

Great place for children and Adults. We get a family ticket for a year. It's cheaper and so much easier to enter the zoo. Great new attractions every month. Highly recommend riding the sky Safari.

We enjoyed our day. The price is ok the lines were a bit long for some of the shows. The animals seem reasonably happy. I still think they would be better on in bigger areas. Parking was ok not many spaces left by 10am.

A non profit helping to keep endangered animals and birds protected. Got a discount to help contribute for animals harmed by the bushfires. Loved the opportunity to witness all the majestic animals and also contribute to environmental conservation. Thanks Taronga see you soon. :)

Possibly the world's most beautiful city zoo. Tried the zip line which was a lot of fun. Worth becoming a Zoo Friend as entry for a one-off visit is expensive but all things considered worth it. Taronga is undergoing upgrades & improvements almost constantly so it just keeps getting better. I tend to avoid on a public holiday or the last weekend before school resumes as it can get busy.

Wonderful experience with masses to do and see. Very well managed environment and engaged staff and volunteers. We had a very full day and got to see almost everything that the zoo had to offer. Lots of walking, good to get a sit down on the ferry home. Recommended to anyone interested in wildlife and conservation.

Taronga Zoo has changed a lot over the last few years, but it still feels familiar with its incredible backdrop and wonderful variety of wildlife.

I have had a wonderful time taking my younger siblings there over the last fortnight. The Seal Show is a hit with everyone, but I especially love the Bird Show. The birds used in the show likely rotate - one morning we were treated to an Andean Condor in flight, whereas the following week (in the afternoon) there was no Condor and some of the other birds were different. Obviously the Condor was a real treat, but the rest of the show is still incredible. For the bird show you can generally turn up close to the start time and get a seat, though the best seats go early. For the seal show you need to arrive about half an hour early if you want to be near the front!

Plenty of snacks available, though the hot food selections are fairly average (if filling). There are also a lot of water stations where you can fill up your water bottles (recommended!).

The Zoo emphasises conservation over entertainment, so you generally can't cuddle the Koalas etc, which is fair enough. Staff are lovely and helpful, including the Zoo's amazing volunteers.

Such a great iconic place on the fore shores of one of the great harbours. From my childhood this has always been a must do. Ferry over to zoo then gondola to the top, then merander down the paths being amazed and enlightened by fauna from the world. Just to gondola right back up to do it all again.
Now with Roar and Snore to choose as well. What more could you want for pure clean entertainment
One of the best zoos in the world.

We stayed there over night both new hotel sort of setting and in those tents to feel calm and refreshing atmosphere! Healthy breakfast and views are worth experiencing. Woke up looking at cute little Koala outside balcony living their lives!

Zoo with a lot of interesting animals. Good for kids which are the ones who'll get most out of it. Has very beautiful views of Sydney Harbour and you'll end up taking scenic photos along with your animal photos. Parking can sometimes be tricky as the zoo is popular - it is however serviced by the ferry and bus services. It'll take a full day and a bit of planning to get through everything (make sure you attend the shows and talks) and there's going to be a lot of walking involved. At this stage the big cats are not open to the public due to their enclosures being under renovation.

Quite disappointed as there weren't as many animals as you would expect at a zoo. A good thing for animal activists I guess. Many areas where under renovation or under construction so walking around is all you have to do. The show times (little as they were) collided with each other so you always had to make the planned choice of venues. On good note the staff were excellent and polite as well as helpful.

We visited Taronga Zoo as we were told it was a must see place. It was okay. I was expecting a lot more - much of it was a building site as it s expanding for the tigers and lions. Saw some elephants and giraffes. But overall I think london zoo is better for now. Maybe next time I visit Australia it will be a different experience.

Wonderful zoo. Set into the side of the mountain, in a natural setting, with some overlooks of Sydney harbour. The animal enclosures are wonderful, and many of them very inventive. I guarantee you haven't had a zoo experience like this one. No standard cement animal enclosures. There are animal "feedings" throughout the day, so the animals sit out in the open and you can enjoy watching them eat. A really special experience.

Great place to take the kids. Amazing views and most things are accessible with a pram or wheelchair. Could spend the whole day here. The ferries from circular quay are pretty regular so you never have to wait long. Id recommend the cable car up so you work your way downhill and back to the ferry

It's not a huge zoo. And a lot of the camps were under construction, or the animals somewhere else. Even the cable car was not operating. Go there to see some of Australia's famously weird creatures, but it's not going to blow you away.

Beautiful zoo! It felt very immersive walking along each trail. The animals looked amazing and taken care of. The map that was offered was fairly easy to understand. The workers there were also very nice and helpful. I would definitely come again one day :D

We were there for vivid and it was amazing. The kids had the best time. Ms 11 took charge of the camera and went from illumination to light effect oohing and arhing. Mr 7 loved the lit up animals. Enormous tigers and elephants and bears. My favourite was the Gorilla family.
Vivid is such an amazing show, bit in the city the experience gets a bit i overwhelming with younger kids. The zoo was crowded but felt peaceful almost calm. Lots of staff on hand and the most amazing visual feast.
The light sculptures of animals were absolutely breathe taking. Incredibly detailed, and you got so close to them.
Would I do it again? Absolutely.
Recommend it? Yes, but only if it doesn t get too hard to get a ticket.
Value for money? Definitely worth the ticket price. We took out own picnic which helped, but beware the exit through the shop trick. Parking? We didn t have a problem but it was the 7.30 session.
Kid friendly? Absolutely.
Photo opportunities? Thousands.

Definitely a must visit. The zoo isn't big but manages to have enough attractions to keep both kids and adults engaged for a day trip. The animals are well looked after and the special attractions like water and bird show are pretty fun. The only gripe is the long queues at the food stalls but in a post pandemic world that's something we have to live with.

Visited on long weekend really busy crowds handelled well.love the special location but some sections seem tired and haven't changed for decades.great to hear keepers talk about habitat loss but seems a bit token effort.more interactive species awareness exhibits and ways people can learn to save habitat would b great.staff mingling with crowds with info would add something.

Amazing zoo with wonderful variety of local and international animals. Doing it right will take a whole day. Definitely check out the Tiger experience and ride the gondola. The view restaurant is a great place to eat as well.

It's a very, very small zoo, which is understandable given its proximity to the city centre. There's a ferry that takes you to the zoo directly as well as a super short (<5 minutes) cable car ride to the entrance of the zoo. If you don't stop to look at any of the animals, you'll be done walking through the zoo in 20 minutes. Prices of food is reasonable, but after around 2-2:30pm, there's nothing open which puts a damper on the whole mood.
