What a cool we theatre. We saw The Wolves here. It was my first time to the place and I liked the set up - it's an informal venue and wherever you sit you'll likely have a good view of the stage. The bar is good and the food looks quite good - though I didn't have time to have any of the snacks myself.

The Wild Duck by Simon Stone with Chris Ryan after Henrik Ibsen was the first play I saw at Belvoir, I loved it so much I became a subscriber that same week and never looked back. Putting on wonderful productions year after year, this small theatre with its intimate spaces is a true local gem.

Belvoir consistently produces excellent, interesting work and their prices are very reasonable. My favourite so far was 2013's 'Persona' - it was intense, skillfully acted and very emotional. The theatre itself is intimate with a flexible layout for different shows and the seats are comfortable.

A wonderful theatre space which is undergound with both a downstairs and upstairs theatres. Great seating and very cool space. If there's a play you want to see then this is a great place to go.

Sydney's most iconic intimate theatre, running alternative and intellectual theatre in the heart of Surry Hills. It's almost theatre in the round, as audience sits on two sides of the stage.

Atlantis is an amazingly sensitive feast especially perhaps for women.
I want to move like Panther (not Diego!) and woke up this morning feeling quite differently about my hands and feet.

Watching these players interchange roles and costumes without a hitch while the illusory lighting kept us all in the dark or NOT with its tantalising input from up left or backfield and reflections updown - I just want to applaud the stage and lighting designers and congratulate you all on immaculate timing.

Lally Katz, thankyou for sharing your story with us.

Nice little theatre. I find that the size enhanced the connection between the audience and the performers compared to a larger theater, as I was in the back yet I felt close to the performance, and was able to see and hear everything clearly. The seats were not too comfortable though. We went there to watch the prize fighter and the cast was excellent, if it's still on I suggest you watch it, a relevant and moving piece.

This is a fabulous theatre with a fantastic layout with excellent lighting and acoustics. It's not too big, not too small. I saw The Drovers Wife which was quite a striking piece of theatre.

The bar and food area could really do with some work. You have to squeeze through the tables to get to the bar which is odd and unnecessary. I wouldn't recommend eating there unless you're happy with a meat pie.

Friendly staff.

I love the theatre, and I like the smaller, more intimate theatres. Belvoir has a slightly less mainstream programme, which means you'll be watching something you haven't seen before. This brings with it potential for delight or disaster. 2015 was a disaster, I skipped 2016 for that reason, 2017 was fabulous, and the season is of to a good start this year.
