Putting animals first I always try to make my reptiles at home just like they do make it safe
Haven't been for quite a few years but have fond memories. All i can say is wow! Every single staff member was a pleasure to deal with! Super polite, friendly and professional! The park looks amazing! Fantastic experience and it won't be any where near as long until we come back. Thanks for a great day guys!
Was an awesome day, perfect weather friendly staff, its an all day experience so get there early park opens at food and drink are pricey but that's the only drawback, was lucky enough to see the irwins for bindi's 21st
Awesome place even in the rain all day. Well worth the visit and amazing conservation work being carried out. Well done Team Irwin and all your wonderful staff.
Amazing day despite the rain. All staff were wonderful and in great spirits.
The new water park is another reason to bring the kids here.
Outstanding. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The place is educational and interesting. I was very impressed with maintenance and cleanliness.
I love Steve Irwin. But I was so disappointed especially for the price. Felt like I saw more trees than animals. The walk is so long with no shade, it was so boring. I felt like I could see more in my backyard than here
If you are a visitor do not miss it. If you are a local do not miss it.
Amazing. Kids loved it, we love it. Highly recommend
Crikey! This is probably the best animal zoo I've been to. Massive enclosures and the animals always look content, except the crocodiles who are usually pretty snappish. Word to the wise: make sure your kids wear good shoes, not thongs, or expect a strap to break, or a blister to appear, or any manner of bugs to make walking impossible.
Love this place!! Interactions with the animals are well worth the extra cost
Very very good zoo. Zoo has the American version. I love
Very excited to see so much animals and been in a such spacious living area. A real Zoo to be.
A wonderful experience. Make a day of it, as it takes ages to walk around. Shuttle buses available. Picturesque bird enclosure, Koalas and Kangaroos to pat. Tasmanian Devil, Echidnas, Meercats, Wombats, Tigers, and Leopard. Reptiles, Crocodile and Bird show. Memorabilia, gift shops, cafes, toilets ( including parents rooms) at most stops and bubblers along paths. Kids jumping castle and small rides for toddlers. Waterparkin the making. Everything you could want. Wheelchair friendly in most parts.
A great place to take the kids or visitors for the day. Staff are always friendly. Bring a picnic to have on the grass
My family and i had a truly wonderful day at Australia Zoo. The staff and atmosphere was outstanding. My children loved it so much and they can't wait to come back. The best zoo i have ever been too.
Never disappoints. We take our overseas visitors there, they are always thrilled to get so close to our marquee animals.
Nice zoo. Very spacious and well laid out. Catch the free shuttle to go from one area to another. Dont miss the croc show and the tiger show.
Always amazing experience! We got the yearly pass and took our 2.5yr old son. He loved it and so did we! Seemed a little pricey at first glance, but actually I think it's worth it. Plus it goes towards helping the animals. The croc show is fantastic so make sure you check it out!
It was great. Staff where very helpful. Animals were well looked after.
Amazing place. Best cared for animals I've seen in a while. Steve lives on through the zoo. And their educational work is amazing.
Well worth a visit. The midday show is a must see. The zoo hires out pull along trolleys for small children to ride in - best decision made, 2 and 4 year old loved it
Amazing location amazing staff and amazing animals. The crocodiles are big and scary, good place for children. But I urge people to look on the ground at all times because I saw a venomous or non venomous I am no sure which one but it was very scary. But overall a nice place to have a family visit.
Zoo has had a refresh since our last visit and looking amazing. The kids loved it and even after an entire day in the sun we had to drag them out kicking and screaming.
Would have been better if I didn't go in the middle of school holidays.
Love the history and culture behind the development and creation of the zoo and the beautiful array of animals.
We had high expectations and the Australia Zoo delivered. So many hands on animals and experiences. We loved the Kangaroos and the Koalas. The crocodile feeding show was amazing and we got to see Terri, Bindi and Robert. The place is well maintained and there are many staff there to help make the day amazing and the animals are taken care of.
Worst zoo ever, totally lack of animals and walks are long, hot and tiring. The only decent variety of animals are the lizards and snakes. Where are the big cat varieties (only 2 tigers and 1 cheetah)? 3 zebras and 2 rhinos, what a sad population of animals.
A great day out for the family, well catered shows and attractions for all ages
Amazing zoo..!! Very well set out, Clean amenities and the zoo is very well maintained. Will definitely be visiting again.
Spread out with incorrect signage sending visitors all over the place in the wrong directions.
Absolutely loved this place! Went 21 yrs ago and now much bigger and better, good job team Irwin's, will definitely be back.
My dad works here !!!
Shout out for Toney M . Branch
Fantastic to go back and see the progress made in just 2 years. I'm not a fan of 'normal' zoos, but every time I come to Auzzie I make time for Australia Zoo. What an amazing team doing awesome work to support and care for animals & educate us on how to be better humans. Humbling and awe inspiring.
We really enjoyed our visit! Easily the best zoo we have ever been to. Very educational, friendly staff, lots to see - wish we had gone for the two day pass!
The crocoseum show was amazing, a definite must see! The trainers clearly really care about their animals, and the bird show was so clever - such a lot of training must have gone into that.
The kids loved the rides and water park in the middle, and the free shuttle train was a lifesaver for sore little legs.
Since it was my sons bday he got in for free, so combined with the entertainment book voucher it was an affordable day out and well worth the money.
Great work by all involved in the running of this place we will definitely be back next time we are in the area!
Australian landmark. Everybody should go once and anyone living nearby should be a annual pass holder.
Enjoyed our visit very much. We spent most of the day in the zoo; I will always remember the time spent at the Australia Zoo.
Easily the best zoo in Australia. Beautiful wide open spaces, even with a full crowd there are plenty of places to escape and enjoy an abundance of animals. A must do for any visit to Australia.
Absolutely amazing time lovely to see the gardens so green and the staff are amazing plus got to see Chandler and Robert in the croc show after lunch
Food was yum! We had the vegetarian lasagna, hawaiian pizza and potato gems. Had such a fun day! Also did the Cheetah encounter, which was amazing :)
Nov 2018 - Awesome, wonderful animals but hot. Take hot, warm and cool clothing. Drink bottle as there's a lot of walking. Change to buy kangaroo food, cash for food etc Tigers were spectacular. Airy feeling however.
If you're visiting the Brisbane area without visiting the zoo, YOU ARE MISSING OUT. Please schedule a full day, make sure to book animal experiences to get close to the animals: make sure you wear close-toe shoes. Make sure you attend the feeding shows in the Crocoseum.
This is one of the best zoo I've ever been, this is coming from a man who grew up in Africa. I only had half day in the zoo, and I was not able to visit all the attractions.
Make sure you bring comfortable walking shoes since the zoo is really huge.
Would definitely recommend coming here, there is a diverse range of animals that are kept in humane habitats. The zoo focuses on the education of fair treatment of animals rather than the display of them. We got to see Bindi Irwin and her soon-to-be husband at the crocodile show, and it was really entertaining and heartwarming. The place pays its respects to Steve Irwin in a beautiful way. There are also loads of activities to do, so it s perfect for your children. A small downside is the amount of walking around you have to do, but the place has a shuttle bus and it s good to get some exercise anyway. Many of the enclosures were vary interactive. If you come to Noosa, it d be a waste of time if you don t come here.
Great place for the kids to learn and take an interest in all wildlife.
I absolutely love this zoo!! Keepers are very friendly and eager to educate you on the animals.
The closures appear tidy and spacious, which is great for the animals and their are plenty of intriguing shows throughout the day. However the zoo is massive, and in summer can get ridiculously hot! I recommend going in cooler weather.
Beautiful place. A home for animals that looks like a zoo.
An amazing zoo filled with lots of different species. Great facilities as well. However, during these times of COVID-19 I would highly recommend that Australia Zoo creates more effective measures during the main show especially to maintain social distancing standards as at times it felt unsafe for so many people to be sitting so close together throughout the duration of the show. But overall great zoo, definitely will be returning in the future!
An amazing day for young and old. Just loved the interaction with animals such as the lemurs and everything else felt up close and personal too. It rained all day but that didn't "dampen" the fun at all.
Because all types of varieties are there and nature
Not that many animals, although the crocodiles are impressive and so are their free shows. Slightly underwhelming for the large bits of land they have.
This was my 3rd visit to the Zoo and finally got to see the Irwin family feed the crocodiles. Need a few visits to see everything properly
Very impressed, more than we anticipated. Easy to keep our distance from others from a Covid perspective. Clean, staff on hand to answer questions and they were all very helpful and polite. Beautiful trees, water features and animals and other creatures. Recommended.
Had a ball, but didn't really want to have to plan my day to make sure I made shows and see everything. Too many up-sells everywhere
A great place for people of all ages to learn about magnificent animals from all around the world. You can experience more about wildlife and children, the next generation, can get a better idea of how to save our earth at an early stage.
A very nicely landscaped zoo, exciting / funny programs (but a bit too much designed for tourism in my taste), informative but entertaining information boards, many native animals and slight focus on crocodiles, due to the patronage of the legendary Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin.
We had a great day here!
Best zoo I've ever visited animals well cared for. Entry price reasonable but food and drinks over priced.
Probably the nicest zoo I have been to in terms of the animal enclosures and visitor accommodation. Would not want to be there they are at capacity.
Awesome place with lots of crocs! The Crocoseum was extremely entertaining. I went to see the Wildlife Warriors which included a variety of bird displays and then a crocodile interaction. I loved the Irwin family involvement and the tributes to Steve all round the zoo. A great day out!
Park had great content....
Croc show was lame........People were expecting to see death roll and Large Croc being captured.......
Instead they got a bird show with croc feeding.
....hmmmm
Could do better......the build up didn't come true in the show........
For the price on the gate for a family those $$$$ equals a big day out .........
And will probably have to revisit to see everything........
Family cost should cover 2 day visit.......
Impressive animal collection
Just seems to be a money making machine
For Share Holders.......
Please put the value back in the park
Australian Families are doing it tough at the moment..........Please give them more value for money
Great Australian icon, continuing the fantastic conservation legacy started by Steve and Terry Irwin. Special day out for the kids, made better by quieter Covid crowds.
Just amazing. Make sure you see the main show in the crocoseum. All the staff were extremely happy and helpful. Fair sign it s a well run business.
The best zoo in the world and robert is very brave with the crocodiles
A fantastic day out with the family. We all really enjoyed the zoo - especially the number of hands on and close up encounters!
We had a great day. It is so well cared for and amazingly presented. Can't wait to get lots of use out of our yearly passes
Australia Zoo: A Wildlife Adventure Like No Other
If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable wildlife experience, look no further than Australia Zoo. Located in the heart of Queensland's Sunshine Coast, this world-renowned zoo is home to an incredible array of animals from all over the globe.
Founded by the late Steve Irwin and his family, Australia Zoo is dedicated to conservation and education. The Irwin family has been working with wildlife for over 50 years, and their passion for animals shines through in every aspect of the zoo.
One of the things that sets Australia Zoo apart from other zoos is its focus on hands-on experiences. Visitors can get up close and personal with many of the animals at the zoo, including kangaroos, koalas, snakes, and even tigers! There are also plenty of opportunities to learn about animal behavior and conservation efforts through interactive exhibits and educational programs.
But it's not just about getting close to the animals – there are also plenty of exciting shows to see at Australia Zoo. From crocodile feeding demonstrations to bird shows featuring majestic birds of prey like eagles and owls, there's always something happening at this lively zoo.
Of course, no visit to Australia Zoo would be complete without paying homage to its most famous resident – Steve Irwin himself. The Crocoseum is a massive outdoor arena where visitors can watch crocodile feeding shows while learning about Steve's legacy as a wildlife warrior.
But it's not just about entertainment – Australia Zoo takes its role as a conservation organization seriously. The zoo works closely with various organizations around the world on research projects aimed at protecting endangered species like tigers, rhinos, elephants, and more.
In addition to its work in conservation research, Australia Zoo also runs several programs aimed at educating visitors about environmental issues. These include initiatives focused on reducing plastic waste in our oceans as well as promoting sustainable tourism practices.
Overall, there really is no other zoo quite like Australia Zoo. With its focus on hands-on experiences combined with education and conservation efforts that truly make a difference in protecting our planet's precious wildlife populations - it’s an adventure you won't want to miss!
