Visited the zoo with our friends and 3 kids on the 2nd August. What a terrible experience. There are signs for social distancing when watching the main show however these are not enforced by staff and people are sitting where ever they like. As the staff are not enforcing the rules its left up to other patrons who were extremely rude about it. We adhered to the signs and missed out on the show. Not to mention that no where on your website does it say the main show will have restricted sitting. If you are not allowing everyone the opportunity to experience all the.shows discount tickets should be offered and this should be clearly advertised on your website prior to people attending the zoo.
In addition the majority of the animals could not be seen as they were hiding in their enclosures or resting (as the staff communicated). A very disappointing day out.

Such a great zoo, we were lucky enough to be there on Steve Irwin Day and got to see the whole family in the croc arena, there is so much to do easily spend the whole day walking around, it can get very hot though so don't forget the sunblock. All the shows and animals were great and all the tributes to Steve are just amazing

I liked it better when it was all about the crocs now you only see one have 5 mins talk about a croc in the main stage and that's it , time to go back the way it was cheep to enter and see people getting into the enclosures and show how the crocs ambush prey and introduce the other big crocs, the way it is set up now is just boring and a rip off

Australia Zoo. Is a highly patronized holiday attraction. I have watched this Zoo grow over the years from when Bob Irwin had it and Steve was a child. It has grown in size and stature. It has progressed to a very commercial business. This has been for the better. All the attractions that you'd expect from a zoo style business. Amenities are plentiful. It's a full day so bring a comfy pair of shoes. Recommended.

Great zoo with plenty of animals but it does feel like every step there something letting you know that if you don't sell your kidney, more animals will die. I understand the need to raise money for conservation, however the people that have paid a fair amount of money to take their family to this place, probably don't want to spend more on the myriad of gift shops and merchandise.
Animals are great, shows are great, commercialisation not so.

Great zoo, and wildlife park, with all the usual Australian wildlife, plus crocodile shows, zebras, rhino's, tiger, and more. Great place to take the kids, and set in a large expanse of bushland North of Brisbane.

Very great zoo enjoyed myself greatly. The animals look healthy and they are amazing and the zoo spectacular was awesome. Plenty of delicious food located throughout and reasonably priced as well as lots of great photo opportunities.
Plenty of disabled parking and plenty of disabled toilets

A great day out for the whole family. Don't miss the warriors of Australia show in the crocoseum.
You can buy kangaroo food in any of the gift stores to hand feed the roos.
Don't forget to bring a bathing suit for the kids so they can play in the water fountain park.

This place is huge!!!!! My partner and I were a little concerned with the entry price of $59 pp however afterwards it is well worth it. You will need a whole day as it's on over 100 acres and there is lots to see. The enclosures are really fantastic for these animals and staff are friendly. There are a huge range of foods to choose from in the food court and at good prices too. I found out that 98% of all profits go back into the animals which is great. Give it a shot!

Such a great experience to finally visit Australia Zoo! Visiting here is one of the best memories I have form Australia, and I would recommend it to anyone. You get so close with the animals and it is great to see how much the zookeeper care for the animals.

About Australia Zoo

Australia Zoo: A Wildlife Adventure Like No Other

If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable wildlife experience, look no further than Australia Zoo. Located in the heart of Queensland's Sunshine Coast, this world-renowned zoo is home to an incredible array of animals from all over the globe.

Founded by the late Steve Irwin and his family, Australia Zoo is dedicated to conservation and education. The Irwin family has been working with wildlife for over 50 years, and their passion for animals shines through in every aspect of the zoo.

One of the things that sets Australia Zoo apart from other zoos is its focus on hands-on experiences. Visitors can get up close and personal with many of the animals at the zoo, including kangaroos, koalas, snakes, and even tigers! There are also plenty of opportunities to learn about animal behavior and conservation efforts through interactive exhibits and educational programs.

But it's not just about getting close to the animals – there are also plenty of exciting shows to see at Australia Zoo. From crocodile feeding demonstrations to bird shows featuring majestic birds of prey like eagles and owls, there's always something happening at this lively zoo.

Of course, no visit to Australia Zoo would be complete without paying homage to its most famous resident – Steve Irwin himself. The Crocoseum is a massive outdoor arena where visitors can watch crocodile feeding shows while learning about Steve's legacy as a wildlife warrior.

But it's not just about entertainment – Australia Zoo takes its role as a conservation organization seriously. The zoo works closely with various organizations around the world on research projects aimed at protecting endangered species like tigers, rhinos, elephants, and more.

In addition to its work in conservation research, Australia Zoo also runs several programs aimed at educating visitors about environmental issues. These include initiatives focused on reducing plastic waste in our oceans as well as promoting sustainable tourism practices.

Overall, there really is no other zoo quite like Australia Zoo. With its focus on hands-on experiences combined with education and conservation efforts that truly make a difference in protecting our planet's precious wildlife populations - it’s an adventure you won't want to miss!
