My son is having a great experience with ATA. He will cherish it for life. There is no doubt about it. He plays with so much passion that everything else comes next including his studies. We always knew he would excel at his studies too. He actually did as he is an awesome kid who wouldn't cause hurt to the parents. We are proud of him and grateful to ATA for all the life lessons a great game of Tennis can teach. Only request from ATA is to provide him a recommendation letter for his college application. We wouldn't have bothered you if not for his great scores, 36 and 1590, and his apparent chances at getting into a great school. Thank you

ATA has an experienced and highly committed coaching staff who are passionate about developing elite junior tennis players. But what makes ATA unique is the culture and core values shaped and reinforced by its owner and CEO, Jack Newman. After spending 7 years at ATA, my son developed a strong work ethic as well as the discipline and time management skills needed to be a student-athlete pursuing excellence on the tennis court and in the classroom. These important life skills will serve my son for the rest of his life. And if we hadn t moved prior to my son s sophomore year, I know Coach Newman would have worked diligently to create the best college tennis opportunities for him. Few are better than Coach Newman at the college process! The number of players that Coach Newman has placed at elite academic institutions like Princeton, Dartmouth, Brown University, Amherst, University of Virginia, University of Chicago and many other prestigious universities is impressive by any standard.

I'm most impressed by the way ATA has made a commitment to a young tennis player's family dynamics. Their attentiveness to parent education and a responsiveness to the big picture of competitive tennis is unique. -- David Benzel, Growing Champions for Life

ATA is an amazing Tennis Academy. I have been playing at ATA for 15 years and have watched how the coaches work with the kids. It is magical how they transition these kids into talented young adults. The women's league is great as well and we have lots of fun together and no drama!

ATA is a premier tennis academy where we couldn't be happier sending our daughter (7 now) here. We originally had our daughter at World of Tennis but found that if you want your kids (or yourself) to be a top tennis player, ATA is the way to go. World of Tennis is a great place to learn and play recreationally but if you have kids, check out ATA and you'll see the huge number of college programs / scholarships that were offered to ATA members. Group lessons are fun and you learn all the drills but if you're very serious, I would highly recommend getting one of the coaches to work with you 1:1. I don't recall the fees for group lessons (think it's like $20/Hr?) but just remember they its very affordable - much cheaper than golf that's for sure!

Best in class tennis academy (top school nationally). Exceptional team of coaches offering a wide range of tennis instruction, from junior development to college/professional prep. Our daughter is loving her experience and the culture at ATA, and her tennis game has accelerated quickly.

My 6 yr old son attended both spring and summer camp here and absolutely loved it! The coaching staff were fun, professional and really know how to reach young kids to get them learning and interested in tennis. Coach John is THE BEST!!

Austin Tennis Academy became our home away from home every summer for the last 6 years. The coaches and the other kids always made my boys feel welcome. My boys love being there, and their tennis skills grew exponentially. Even though my older son chose not to play college tennis (he wanted to focus only on academics), the lessons he learned and the friendships he gained for those 5 summers made him the person he is today. Although many of the coaches deserve a big thank you (Coach Davis, Coach Brandon, Coach Rowe, Coach Vince), I cannot thank Coach Newman enough for giving us the chance to be part of his Academy. I love Austin Tennis Academy and I cannot wait until May 2019 when we "live" down there again!

My daughter went to this Academy for at least a couple of years. We have gone to multiple places, and we like Austin Tennis Academy the best, even though It is a bit far for us. Coach Kevin and the staff are wonderful. The facility is very nice. The lessons are great. I would recommend anyone to use them for tennis lessons, whether private or group.

Well I waited a few years to write this review as I felt I had to really experience more to help people know this Academy and College Prep School. You come here either for tennis, or private school, or both. The private school integrated perfectly with tennis academy. We came here for tennis only first, in three years, my son grew from low level beginner to a player in state and national tournaments. Now we are also in this College Prep program, which has small class size, flexible schedule. Do your own research to see the great colleges this College Prep sent kids to! As the time goes by, I trust and love this institution more and more. Both Coach Newman and Director Mrs. Hagar are great inspiration to kids and myself. You will understand what I am talking about if you are one of the parents who have experienced how they handled the tournaments and other situations. They are very serious! They will do whatever necessary to help kids be what they can be. This Academy promotes competition, hard working, respecting each other, caring each other. I really see a lot of positive energies. Junior tennis is a demanding and difficult business, this place may not be perfect, but if you are looking for one for your loved one, this is the BEST you can find in Austin, and in Texas, period!

ATA for life.

ATA for life.

That beautiful facility constantly emits positive and trusting energy.

The coaches.
The family.
The friends.
The growth.
The coaches.
The coaches.
The coaches!
And the love.

Brian Notis and the staff at Austin Tennis Academy do a sensational job with developing players and conducting tournaments. The staff at TRN visited the academy a few years ago for a TRN National Showcase event. The weather didn't cooperate, but Tournament Director Brian Notis did a great job in rescheduling and completing the tournament as scheduled. Also, while we were there, we got to see several of their students being coached by staff, and we were really impressed.

Our son participated at ATA from the 7th grade until his Junior year in high school. Coach Newman and all of the coaches and staff are wonderful. Our son improved every year. He was taught excellent skills as a tennis player. Even more important, he was taught to be a gentleman both on and off the court. We owe a great deal to Coach Newman and ATA for all that our son learned about tennis and life from them.

ATA consistently provides an excellent tournament experience for both players and spectators. The facility is clean, spacious and with generous (and critically) shaded viewing areas. Parking is close by and ample. Staff is knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Thumb's up!!
