We were disappointed. The atmosphere was wonderful. When you entered, you knew this should be a place of impeccable service and fine dining. The waiter was very nice but waiting almost an hour for our salads is unacceptable. We watched two other waiters taking care of their tables in a timely fashion. We waited another 20 minutes for our main course. I think what bothered me most was that a gentleman was seated about the time we got our salads. He completed his entire meal before we were able to order dessert. We did enjoy our meal when it finally arrived.

We have stayed at the Litchfield Inn many times but never gone to Ocean One. It was a very enjoyable lunch. The food was spectacular and the view was fabulous. I had the Brussels sprout caesar salad with grilled shrimp and it was amazing. My mom had the Baja tacos and she really enjoyed them. It was also my mother's birthday and we had a fabulous dessert. Our server Cindy was great and made my mom's birthday special with a candle on her cake!

They were worthy of 4-5 stars up until the past several months.
3 stars is all I can squeeze out now. I ordered the Grouper sandwich and the fish was literally about the size of a McDonalds hamburger Patty.
Very dissatisfied and disappointed.
SEVENTEEN DOLLARS! !

Ocean One would be an exceptional restaurant, but ...

Ocean One would be an exceptional restaurant, but their operation suffers from executional flaws that really take away from the overall dining experience. My girlfriend and I were seated pretty promptly for our 8:30 dinner reservation on Valentine s Day. Since it was a holiday, my expectations for timing were already lowered, so this was a positive start to our evening. That positivity does not carry on through the night, however. The quaint dining room was almost full, mainly with 2-tops, and the staff numbers were more than adequate to support the volume. The ambiance was nice, even without the view since it was dark outside. After we were seated, we waited 10 minutes prior to being greeted by our server, James. We ordered our drinks-a ginger beer and a glass of wine- and waited another 10 minutes for their delivery. During that time, we were offered bread, but no olive oil/butter. After the drinks were dropped, we asked James about dipping sauces for the bread which we saw on others tables, which he had to go to the kitchen to retrieve. We then ordered appetizers, the arancini and duck spring rolls, and dinner, which came with Caesar salad. James returned to the table to advise they were out of duck spring rolls, which was fine- no harm no foul- more room for dessert, am I right? The arancini arrived and, while they were delicious and I would recommend them, they were missing the prosciutto. If you tell an Italian you re serving a dish with prosciutto, there better be prosciutto on that dish. If not, remove that ingredient from the menu inscription, or advise the guest upon ordering. Otherwise I am thinking they just forgot it, and it s the kitchen s error. The time between the appetizer and salads was painstaking, and the delay between the salads and the main courses was even worse. We took notice of how attentive other servers were to their tables, how present they were in the dining room, and their ability to check on multiple sets of guests at one time. Other tables were also offered bread refills two or three times during their meals. James was not present, and seemed to only be focused on one task per one table at one time. What set this restaurant back is that when our main courses finally came out, they were lukewarm at best. By this time, most of the restaurant had emptied out. My girlfriend s grouper was hot, but the sides were cold, and my sea bass dish was cold in its entirety. I m assuming mine was made first and they were waiting on her fish to get done. We waited another 10minutes for James to come back out into the dining room. I signaled for him to come over and politely asked him to just toss our plates in the microwave. The food was delicious; everything was seasoned perfectly, the fish was cooked perfectly, it was just cold. Sorry, I m not sorry, cold food is unacceptable, especially at $34/plate. James was very apologetic and fixed the problem right away. It just added to the time we had already been waiting to eat our dinner. Once the food was returned piping hot, we went to town. Like I said, delicious-just flawed in execution. We wrapped up with two espressos, which were hot, delicious, and served with rock candy pops instead of table sugar, which I think is an elegant touch. We spent a total of 2hrs there and left at 10:30pm. Couples who were seated after us left before us, and I just think it was a matter of lack of server experience, lack of communication between front of house and back of house, and a lack of a cohesive team operation. Fix little things like preparing ahead of time and bringing the bread accoutrements to the table upon greeting them, knowing which menu items have been 86 d so you can advise your tables prior to them ordering, making sure your busser is also being attentive to your tables, and checking on your table again a few minutes after their entrees have been dropped in case there are any major problems so you can rectify them in a reasonable amount of time. I d give Oceans One another try, just maybe in someone else s section.

Ummm ... someone might want to update the website to accurately reflect hours open. We are here on Monday 10/29 for lunch specifically because the website said it was open. It s closed. Very disappointed.

Came in half an hour early to check in at the Litchfield Inn so went to the Cabana Cafe like the front desk suggested.

It smelled bad. It s as if the rags they use to clean the tables haven t ever been washed or rinsed. Didn t have a choice but to sit inside since all the outside seating was taken & we were still waiting on our room.

Ordered a Captain America off our waiters suggestion but when it arrived it was already melted & tasted as if something was sour in it when it s clearly a sweet drink.

Ordered their famous fish sandwich for the meal that came with a LONG HAIR baked into the fish patty. Hair was so long it came out the other side of the fish sandwich!!

Our server Brandon great. I have never experienced a manager quite like Mike though. When we first sat down he was loudly lecturing an employee in front of our table, when it was close to closing time he began openly looking at his watch and back at us then turning off the TV that was our table faced -I worked in the service industry for many years ...never something anyone would do let alone a manager. There was several people still in the place.
