Great theater, always has the newest and most popular movies and offers 3D. Has reserved seating and reclining chairs. Afterwards you can go to Amys Ice Cream right next door to the theater for a delicious treat. Or stop by Hyde Park Bar and Grill for a bite to eat and a pre-movie cocktail.

The recliner very comfortable chairs really make this special.

Great theater, beautiful decor, very comfy lounge chairs. You will like it.

I have thoroughly enjoyed living close to this theater. The place is clean, and never that packed, even on the weekends. I first came here to watch a Studio Ghibli movie as part of a Fathom Event. I was impressed with the food and draft beer. I had some tacos and a Blue Moon and both were delicious. It is expensive, but what movie theater isn't?

I have come back on several occasions and at several different times of day and am no less impressed with the place. In fact, I will be returning this weekend.

Horrible website and phone system to find current showing movies. In from Houston to take our grandson to his first movie.

Comfy seats, recliners are awesome, great atmosphere, only thing whats up with the concessions ppl they hardly smile and make me feel rushed and look annoyed to be there... but hey they did not purchase my ticket and i wont be sitting next to them so dont let that stop you from this theater

Sound is good but somehow screen was very small (theater #6)... i had to find a seat on 2nd row to compensate for it

They charge $11.99 for a glass of wine... I can get 2 glasses at Alamo Draft House for that price. And the sound is horrible.

Really spacious and very clean, I was truly impressed.

Had a situation with someone in my seats I picked with my 3 friends to sit together. We arrived to someone in our seats and management fixed the situation fast.

Seats are assigned. The chairs themselves are comfy and recline. The aisles are big enough where you don't have to move for other people. Food and drink are typical of movie theaters however they do serve beer here.

Love this theatre. Only one we go to in South Austin. Great seating, great drinks and great popcorn. Staff always friendly. Managers always helpful with any need you have.

Probably my favorite theater. Attractive and comfy.

Much improved after seat upgrades. could do with a few more ushers though. Also the seat numbering is most confusing but overall very good!

Location, location, location right by my apartments. Seriously, this is my go-to theater and has been my favorite for over 20 years. It's clean, no bad element, good police presence in the evenings and lately, very good customer service, which is almost non-existent in movie theaters. Theaters are small and intimate and I like them like that.

This was my go to theatre for years, mostly because it s about 2 min closer to my house than the next one. I ve easily spent several thousand dollars here over the years but those days are over now after my experience this evening with the general manager. I can t remember her name but she ll be the 50 something bleach blonde with the permanent grimace. I m not sure how a person can be both condescending and a robot at the same time but she nailed it, and for that I have to hand it to her.
Sooo... I purchased tickets online, which is the only way you can get a decent seat so it s pretty much necessary, but the website wasn t working properly so I had to re re retry for two days (granted, not continuously) which we all know how frustrating that can be but eventually I find a way to make it work, and when we get to the theatre it turns out I accidentally bought the tickets for the day before... ooops.... but they have the skew so they know I wasn t there and I m here now with my wife and two kids... I m obviously not trying to scam a free movie... the assistant manager says I need to call corporate to get a refund, he gives me the number I call and they say oh yeah it s fine we can t give you a refund but the manager at the theatre can give you passes, this happens all the time . Great! Well, not great because the assistant manager says HE can t do that only the Manager can... he gets her and she says... no. It s our policy to not give refunds or passes. And when I try to explain what corporate said, or what happened, or anything at all, she just kept interrupting me and repeating... it s our policy not to give passes or refunds I say I understand the policy but... it s our policy... yes, I get that, but I know you have the ability... interrupts me again it s our policy... again I start, I just got off the phone with corporate who said you can and do, do this all the time ... it s our policy...
as annoying as this story was to read it was much more obnoxious in person.
It just seems crazy to me to look at a person with their wife and children, all ready to see a movie and spend another $50 buck on top of the tickets I bought, on snacks and drinks and say basically we both know I have the ability to let you in and help you with this simple common, mistake. And I know you ve already paid, and I know corporate just said it s ok... but no... you and your wife and kids are gonna have to pay again .
I know this post will accomplish nothing and matter to no one but it s my only recourse at this point so I guess I ll just call it therapy and be happy with that.
Good customers permanently lost.

The new seats and general ease of getting into a movie is really the only the only plus it's got over the Drafthouse.

I didn't like my experience very much at all. I was ready to go right after the movie. The popcorn they sold us was old and cold, and the butter was basically water. The women's bathroom was disgusting. I'm talking toilet paper all over the floor, water in the floors and one toilet I went to had huge clumps of hair for some reason?? The only thing I likes was the chairs.

They have the big recliner seats here which were awesome.

Parking lot is a bit gross at times but other than that, such a fun place to watch a movie. Central Market, Amy's Ice Cream, Bath & body works, & a pottery painting place all close by if you're doing the date thing & want to mix it up!
Every summer, they do dollar kids movies for charity - a great chance to see movies from a few years ago, on the big screen again!

Staff is friendly and they keep the theater clean after every show.. In comparison to other theaters they treat the customers kindly and are respectful.. Great place to go watch a movie.

Great location, great seats. But damn management and employees lack common sense and people skills. Talk about adding air freshners to the theaters as fish and fart smells are not welcomed.

Great, but they recently renovated with reclining seats and they are some of the highest ticket prices in Austin.

Seats were all super comfortable, and the aisles were spacious so that even fully reclined, people could still walk by without hitting you.

Don't go to the last showing. If you but the larges of the items, they won't give you the refills because they close the concessions before the actual theater is closed.

My go to movie theater. For those who like it, they sell beer and wine now to go with popcorn and Twizzlers.

Great cinematic experience, but seats grew progressively more uncomfortable as the movie went on.

This is my favorite theater in S. Austin. Primarily due to the seats, they're so comfortable and they recline. You can also choose to pick your seats prior to the movie, and I usually get lucky and the middle two seats are almost always available for my choosing. The staff is nice, during the week it's not packed. My only complaint if I had to find something, I can't drink the beers in the bottle they come in, you have to drink it in an average sized plastic cup, so you don't get the entire beer that you paid $5.99 for. Other than that, I love the coziness of this theater and it's inside the Westgate shopping area next to Central Market so that's an added bonus.

I was really excited to watch Twilight. I like how you can buy your concessions at the same time as your tickets.

Don't go often but it's always clean and comfortable.

Love WestGate cinema! I prefer it over Alamo Drafthouse house because they have the large comfy reclining chairs and there's no food invloved

Screen was small but they had comfortable recliners in the theater.

We saw this movie tonight and it was so touching and made you forget the world around us !! It s a great movie for families and inspiring that you can t give up we loved it ..Thank you to the cast for doing such a good film !!

Great service. Usually the concessions people attend quickly. Only downer is the people in front who sell the tickets. They're always on their phone and will barely look up when a customer is trying to buy their tickets.

I've resorted to buying mine on Fandango instead. Otherwise, a pretty good theater.

Tenet was just too much like we get it honey, youre a great filmmaker lets dial it back a bit. At least the Regal made it a comfortable trip down an incomprehensible rabbit hole.

Great location with good food options nearby and ice cream! The theatre is relaxed, friendly and a great option when other places get crowded.
