Ok, this will be a tough review - there is nothing wrong with the place if you are into this kind of entertainment. Live music, cool jokes, not too big of a choice for drinks, but lots of people seemed to have fun. Personally, not my favorite as it was a bit too loud for me, but hey - it's a matter of taste. I'm sure plenty of people will give them 4 or 5 stars.

Walked into this place with resos and had the rudest bouncer disrespect us by yelling at us to stand in line when there was no clear line. Absolutely not acceptable to treat people this way. Never going back! You guys gotta get it together and learn to treat woman nicely.

Most fun you can have in Calgary. Great crowd. Great performers.

best night ever!!! I am sorry people had a poor experience but I think you have to go there with the right expectations.

Of course you tip for song request.... but we were doing $5.00 per song and some without a tip towards end of the night and every single song of our requests were played. And we probably did over 10 thoroughout the night. At the end of the night the piano players were taking called out requests.. saying how they didn't want to miss out on any ones requests. The food was okay but you are not there for the food. It is typical pub food. The service was really good - sometimes they are slow but it is always soo super busy so we started ordering two drinks.

They actuall encourage you to be as loud as you want.. as roudy as you want.. dance wherever you want.. stand and stomp on chairs.... it was a fab time. Best night out ever!!

I come here everytime I travel to Calgary (we live three hours away). Booking in advance is key but the time is absolutely amazing! Sad to see some of the poor reviews but if you like the Red Piano in Edmonton and want to party, this is the place!

A few things to say about this place:
1) our service was very good, the young guy that served our table did a great job.
2) I think they should upgrade their sound system as it wasn't the best, I would prefer it much higher and having the ability to understand the lyrics while singing. Sound system upgrade is needed.
2) food was very simple, nothing special at all - bar food. I would love to see better choices and better quality. The chicken wings were good.
3) over all there is a good atmosphere and it's a fun place, adding some more club type light would contribute to the total atmosphere and will let you feel more in a party.

Over all we had a fun night, and if they will upgrade their sound system I will definitely come again.

Sang songs on tables... 5 out of 5 would sing songs again.

Unbelievable talent...show was linger than any concert performance. Fun fun fun...crowd was up and dancing and fully involved...best $13 I've spent in forever!

My husband and I have been coming here every since our friends took us for our first time 2 years ago.
My mother was visiting from NS so we decided to bring her. Of course she thought oh great a piano bar, but once they started playing she loved it and enjoyed herselg. It wasnt what she was expecting at all. It was an amazing experience we ordered food, it was delish! Our server ended up having to go home as her daughter was sick, instead of just leaving she came our and explained to us and introduced us to our "new" server. I was shocked so professional! Of course we will be coming back!!!

It's a request piano bar. With liquor, of course it's awesome

My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary here last night. This was my second time here and I must say each time was a unique and fantastic experience! Highly recommended for any trip to Calgary!!

After servers walked by a dozen times, someone finally stopped and helped us but we hadn't seen them again. We had to look for someone to pay. We told the manager our experience with it being our first time and she gave us our drinks on the house. We would to back for the entertainment but would make a reservation with a large group to be served.

Terrible sound quality. Piano players were arrogant and would only play requests with $20 or $50 tips attached. Seemed like a money grab. Better places to go and spend your money.

Who doesn t love Piano bars? Such a blast as the musicians keep you entertained all night. They engage the crowd and throw out witty banter all the time.

Food is lack lustre and basic pub fare. If you are seeking a culinary experience I would suggest you eat somewhere else beforehand. Food is not why you come here though.

Saw dueling Pianos here. The music and entertainment was great! Had a ton of fun! The beer selection is average but the food is quite poor. The food is in general, overly greasy and salty. If you're going for something like dueling pianos, the entertainment made up for the food.

Awesome music, awesome food and great drinks! Highly recommend Aussie Rules to anyone.

Tonight was my first time ever going here.. so much fun!!!

Great fun with the band especially with friends. Lovely ambiance. The cocktails are great, too.

Good atmosphere. The interaction between musicians an attendants makes feel everyone integrated. The sound could be better.

Booked a table for 6 they said no problem. We showed up and they sat us at two different tables. We asked to move and we're told the restaurant was completely booked. I understand being booked but don't take a reservation for 6 if you don't have a table for 6. Or at least tell us beforehand that we will be at two separate tables. Waste of an evening.

Awesome place to take a group to. Right until they call on you to go stand in front of the crowd and sing. Fml.

Inexpensive entertainment, amazing talent, and a great casual place for everyone

Made reservations for a party of 16 with no problem. They reserved a bunch of tables near the front which was great. The drinks were good and piano bar was awesome. Our server did a great job managing all the orders for our big group and service was quick too. The downside was the food which wasn't very appetizing.

Great entertainment. The pianists are always fun to listen too. That being said don't go if your not prepared to spend a lot of money! Appetizers are way over priced. And service is spotty at best. Okay for a one time thing. But I'm done with this place.

lame and annoying music, they cheat me with tequila its with water, they got me the wrong beer, food was served without drink, i was still waitin for th right beer to come, exoensive food with not much food on the menue I WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK AGAIN AND I DONT ADVICE ANYBODY TO GO THERE.
ps, how come its an OZ bar and they dont serve fosters! its rip off. nothin at al that i like about this pub and on top of that they charge $13 cover charge, for what? wouldnt be there even if they pay me . its a rip off

Had much fun! Please consider buying a filter for your water taps. It was not a nice experience to drink the water.... Even after adding several slices of lemon.

Aussie Rules Piano Bar is so much fun! The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Once the piano players start the bar seems to light up. I ve been here a few times over the years and I ve never been disappointed. The food is your typical pub style, chicken wings, nachos, etc. But it s served fast and the quality is decent. The drinks are fairly reasonably priced as well. Parking is also good as they have a big lot outside the front which they share with Jubilations. I would definitely recommend Aussie Rules Piano Bar to anyone looking for a great night out.

It's a blast. And surprisingly easy to get Millennials, Baby boomers and teenagers all engaged and dancing to their favorite Tunes. A great place for a small office holiday celebration.

Pretty cool place! Great place to sing your guts out and have no one look at you! That being said makes conversation challenging even for the most persuasive and skilled mumbler person. Watch out there is a small cover something like 13 Canadian Ruple s but it s worth it also the slammer five dollar bill on the piano With your favourite song written across Sir Wilfrid Laurier face, he might slap those keys for yea! Service was okay not the best but that s probably thanks to them having to pay the wait staff 15 an hour and cutting back some homies!

I was impressed with the dueling pianos, although a lower volume and an occasional break would have allowed for some conversation at the table without having to yell into each other's ears.....
The food arrived at the table slightly warmer than room temperature so I am guessing the regulars are there for the music.

I was particularly impressed with the guest pianist/singer, Saddie, down from their sister operation in Edmonton.

I would never *runaway* from this bar. Fantastic experience and performance!

Relaxed atmosphere, players/singers were incredible! We stayed right to the end. Didn't have a clue what I was getting into but I even sang country music and danced on the chairs! I hate country!
Delicious food. Good for sharing.
Drinks were not my fave, but the cups they came in made it worth it! I only had 4 drinks and I was there from 8pm to 130am.
Great for specialty events, we went for a stagette!

Such a great time. Had my Birthday party here and they were so great to deal with.. from planning to arriving to having fun to the end everything was great. Will be back forsure!

Waitress was great, especially considering how big of a group we were and entertainment was also awesome but honestly I thought the food was terrible. Eat somewhere else first and then go for the entertainment and drinks. This was probably the first time in my life that I've given a bad food review. I will eat almost anything but I was just super disappointed here.

Food was absolutely horrible!
This place is in need of a serious restaurant makeover. The food and drink menus look like they are out of the 80's and the food tasted lIke it was bought then. I'd hate to see what the kitchen must look like.

I had a truly wonderful experience for a whole evening. The staff was courteous and the performer's are top notch. If you havent gone, you're in for a treat!

Well this place is just fantastic. Good food (great Yorkshire pudding), great drink specials and the entertainment is amazing. The artists can play anything and they played everything.
