Fantastic experience, well organized and family friendly

Lovely animals, I hope they can have a good time in the zoo. In addition, I think you should speed up the construction of facilities and set up different entertainment and animal activities areas.

Great enclosures to see all the animals, keepers were very knowledgeable.

We had a Red Panda Experience at the zoo today, we had an awesome time with our guide who was a lovely lady very knowledgeable about the animals, the pandas were gorgeous. Thanks Auckland Zoo We love u and what you do for all animals big and small.

Would not recommend for families, go to Motat especially on a sunny day the animals are just too hot and bothered to come out. You'd think the zoo would do something special over the school holidays for kids you're better off seeing more animals and up close at a farm or even butterfly creek

Not a huge fan of zoos but this one is among the best I've visited. Lovely greenery everywhere. Large enclosures. Good focus on conservation. Wheelchair accessible. Mobility aids for those in need.

The zoo is awesome and all, the staff treat the animals great and stuff, but some of, if not most of these animals would be living a much longer and happier life in the wild. Idk ): nice to visit them but it feels like a prison.

Nice compact zoo. The way it is designed it is easy to get from any part to another. Good range of animals too. Annual pass is great to take kids there regularly.

The monkeys weren't Arctic enough for my emo tastes

A great experience and exceeded my own expectations! I was surprised how Auckland has such a comprehensive and complete set of animals they were taking care of. The zoo was also very clean and tidy, and the other patrons respected the rules. I also enjoyed the shows that they had set up! There is some construction happening right now (they are expanding!) so just a headsup for those who will be visiting!

Loved the new orangutans exhibit but the path around it made my shoes full of white mud. Please can you fix this!

I really enjoyed my visit. They have really done a great job to make the exhibits look cool for humans while giving plenty of space for the animals. Only downside was the tiger and some other exhibits are a work in progress still but it hardly impacted the experience.

This place was amazing and to see the look on my 2 year old sons eyes was priceless. So much to see.

You've got to love Auckland Zoo. If you are a parent living in Auckland, an annual Friends of the Zoo pass is worth every cent. With one you don't need to think of the zoo as a day out, more an awesome park you can pop in to any time you like. After all, who would want to share their lunch in the company of a hippopotamus?!

Don't miss hand feeding the giraffe every day (except Wednesday) at 11:15am. I never tire of it :-)

A bit disappointing, but my wife visiting from Thailand did see a Kiwi.

Good place for taking a person in a wheel chair for a walk nice picnic spot But Please Do Not feed the birds keep an eye on children as there is water here

Very nicely design with clear informative signages, worth a visit if you have a day in town.

Cool place for young kids but the place is under renovation on some of the enclosures so not as many animals to look at
