Made a complaint about a neighbour who is in breech of at least 4 Council regulations .Just a got a message that the case is now closed with nothing being done .
What a complete waste of time .
I bet if I did the same thing ,action would take place immediately.

Many businesses were impacted 2 days running by inconsiderate council workers resealing a street in Remuera blocking off the only parking in the area, Thanks to you I've made no money in my shop. I did however have visitors off a cruise ship drop in and complain that the city has so much road works it's a disgrace.

Service at council is generally very poor BUT I received fantastic assistance from one person. There was a problem with the inorganic collection - some items having been left behind. I spoke to one female staff member (the third to last call) who was totally and spectacularly unhelpful.

The second-to-last female staff member I spoke with is the main reason for the good rating. I can not recall the name - but Council take note ! - check out who she is as she was fantastic, efficient and willing to go the extra mile to help. Our record will show who she is - she needs recognistion. She stands out from other staff.

The last person was a male staff memeber who also followed through and make sure that what the previous person (mentioned just above) has set up, actually happened. Thank you to the last two.

Zero stars. Bloody useless. Sent rates enquiry 6 June...still waiting for response. Waited for 15 minutes on the phone this avo, only to be cut off as soon as it sounded like someone would actually answer. Sort it out guys. Pretty sure we pay your wages...

I followed directions as per their website for rates refunds. It took 10 working days for them to acknowledge content of email and now I have been told another 10 working days to action. Interesting that when they want money out of the general public payment is required also immediately. Perhaps we as the public should apply their rules and wait firstly 10 working days to acknowledge receipt of their correspondence and then inform that it will take another 10 working days to action their correspondence as this timeframe seems to be acceptable to them.

Have lodged repeated noise complaints about a neighbour who works on his boat every Sunday, and sometimes more frequently. This has been going on for years. The 'process' is to call, lodge the complaint, receive a number, then call back 30 minutes later after which they are supposed to take action. Today (fairly typical), the first 3 attempts to call were cut off. The call back after 30 minutes kept on hold for 15 minutes before being cut off again. Why do we even pay rates - these people (the managers particularly) should not have paid jobs as they add no value.

Beware of applying for jobs here. It has absolutely nothing to do with skills and finding the best person for the job. It has to do with favouritism and nepotism. A Daniel Yang who calls himself a " Talent Acquisition Consultant" in other words he works in the hiring department (Human Resources) puts through Asians before others. Some useless people working herr who keep their job, The Google Reviews reflect this.

Auckland council has increased the properites CV just to increase the rate payment. The council & NZ government do not have proper solutions apart from increasing rates & living costs on people.
There is no single logic request we have asked the council without getting declined with some excuses!

Council have false details of our property just so they can increase the rates. We have contacted them about the incorrect information Qv have on our property having two bathrooms and a garage when we only have one bathroom and no garage! They wouldn't do anything about it and keep charging the same rates.. beware, check the info they have on your propert.

Why not approve a building that takes away some of the awesome views up at skytower. Well done. When this building down the waterfront is finished, it isn't worth the $32 we pay to go up the skytower...

I saw 3 garden workers cutting and raking a hedge, this was good until I come back an hour later and they re in the exact same spot.

Auckland city councilors are the biggest wasters of taxpayer and house rate funds.

Extremely poor customer service. I wish I can give them a negative score. Have an ongoing issue with construction every Sunday. It s states clearly on their site no construction work Sunday. When I call them regarding the noise. I m advised to call back in 30mins then only they will send someone to check. So you spend over an hour just to lodge a complaint. I have never seen any officer showing up ever. No one ever bother s to update you but take all your information. Auckland council is just for the Developer not for the people. Quick to increase rates but absolutely disgraceful customer service.

The following remarks are directed at Unitary Plan Team.

Credibility is a must-have attribute for people in ANY positions. A small number is enough to give a tainted view of the whole Council Staff. Having those bad ones can potentially jeopardize the smooth running of the Council and consequently the future of Auckland.

A handful of staff can be INCREDIBLY untrustworthy (after recent dealings with them.) I REPEAT, IT IS NOT JUST UNTRUSTWORTHY, IT IS INCREDIBLY UNTRUSTWORTHY (Failure to keep their word not just once, but many times.) Please RAISE your BAR when recruiting council staff so they not only act professionally but also have HIGH moral values. Lastly, please also MIND YOUR MANNERS and don't forget you are just PUBLIC SERVANTS, NOT bosses, to us all. Hope the Council management team sees this.
