I attend an event occasionally related to a support group so my involvement is not directly to the church. I can say though that it's a well layed out church with plenty of free parking for it's patrons. There are several styles of rooms to accommodate whatever kind of event is being held. It's situated close to Metcalf and is easy to see and enter in to.
I was there this time for the Civic Orchestra concert... this is a very nice and friendly church, based on my experience.
My wife sang at this church with her Jubilee choir. They put on two performances a year hosted at this church. Very cute and nice little church. Love their worship center.
Nice facility. Quite a few stairs for older people.
Atonement Lutheran is a large congregation with the small town church feel. Atonement offers the traditional Lutheran service but also offers Jazz services on select Saturdays and a contemporary music ensemble at our 11am services. Atonement is also home to several local community performance groups who take advantage of the space and the organ. Atonement also offers a youth program from Pre-K through high school.
A vibrant community of faith! Worship and fellowship opportunities abound, and the congregation engages in mission outside of its doors. The pastor is pretty cool, too.
I am not a member of this church, nor have I ever attended a worship service there. This rating has to do with their hosting of the Kansas City Civic Orchestra. They do a fantastic job with that. Thanks atonement Lutheran!!
A great family friendly church that allows kids to be kids! The sermons are meaningful and always provide you with Good News to strengthen your faith and help you get ready for the start of your week. The sanctuary is free of video screens which allows you to enjoy some electronic free time to connect with God and others.
