The Atlanta Botanical Gardens is a wonderful visit! Always different, always exceptional. The Holiday Lights exhibit is absolutely worth the admission and the time commitment! As you wander through the gardens, you continue to encounter even more wonderful things - the Lady in the Garden, the Dancing Lights that change colors in exact time to the music, The Orbs on the lawn that change colors and flash in time with your favorite Christmas music - the list continues! A visit to the Gardens at Christmas is a family tradition, and it is always unique and never boring!

Actual rating: 4.8

The gardens are stunning, and the ever changing flowers make every visit one worth doing.

Why the 4 stars? Honestly, it is mostly because of the price. The price isn't necessarily bad, but when I was last there the storms had ravaged the tulips leaving most of them in really bad shape. I understand that going to a garden carries the expectation of possible did appointment (flowers haven't bloomed, weather probelms, etc), which is why my actual rating is 4.8, but on a personal note, the price seems a bit to high.

With that said, however, the Earth Goddess statue is stunning, and the walking bridge is relaxing. The gardens do a great job of making a laid-back atmosphere.

I've been to the Gardens twice now, and I have every intention of going back!

My first time visiting and I decided to take my family out...when it was raining! It was actually very nice. The staff was super friendly, and helped us navigate around the garden. The only downfall was many areas were closed due to Covid. So I will definitely be back to update my review! Looking forward to attending an evening event!! However, I thought it was so amazing we became members!! Cannot wait to see the garden during Christmas

Everytime I visit I find something I missed on the previous trip. It's so lovely, peaceful, and beautiful. If I lived closer, I'd go everyday! I love the benches that are set out throughout the garden. They help you actually stop and smell/admire the flowers.

The Atlanta Botanical Gardens are a delight. We have lived in Atlanta for 18 years, and while others in my family have been over the years, I visited for the first time recently because my husband had purchased a family pass. I generally dislike crowds and this type of environment, but the gardens are so well laid out that you don't feel like you are in a mass of people. The exhibits are worth the trip! We enjoyed it so much we purchased another membership this year.

This place is so great. Its garden, and art gallery, and a miniature zoo in one. So relaxing and beautiful. And it wasn't crowded at all on a late Friday afternoon. The staff is laid back and helpful, and everything is clean. There is some really fun music pumped into the buildings too. This is a great place to go with a family to just to relax by yourself for an afternoon, especially if your trying to socially distance or take photos, or just relax.

Most beautiful place I have ever seen! A must see if you are either new to town, just visiting, or a long time native. They change up the scenery depending on the season, and this was my first year going to see the winter light show- totally worth it!!

We went to see the Christmas lights. It was raining but we still had a wonderful time. Hot Chocolate, S'mores and fireplaces set about to bring coziness to the garden. We'll definitely be coming back.

Always a good time! Love the special events here. On a hot day kids can play in the splash ground. Orchids are nice...piedmont park is also fun. Some more food options that are open regularly would be a plus but we bring snacks and plenty of water. Christmas lights are the best!

So beautiful are the exhibits indoors and out. It's a great place for young kids with the rope bridges, playhouse and splash pad, as well as the frog pond, indoor turtles and characters made out of plants.

About Atlanta Botanical Garden

Atlanta Botanical Garden: A Haven for Nature Lovers

The Atlanta Botanical Garden is a 30-acre oasis located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. It was founded in 1976 with the mission to develop and maintain plant collections for display, education, research, conservation and enjoyment. Since then, it has become one of the most popular attractions in Georgia, drawing visitors from all over the world.

The garden is home to over 30 different gardens and collections that showcase a wide variety of plants from around the world. Visitors can explore everything from tropical rainforests to desert landscapes, as well as themed gardens like the Japanese Garden or Children's Garden.

One of the highlights of the Atlanta Botanical Garden is its collection of orchids. With over 2,000 species on display throughout the year, it's one of the largest orchid collections in any public garden in America. The Fuqua Orchid Center houses many rare and endangered species that are being conserved through careful cultivation.

Another must-see attraction at Atlanta Botanical Garden is its seasonal displays. Every year during springtime (March-April), visitors can enjoy thousands of tulips blooming throughout various parts of garden which creates an amazing view for photography lovers. During summer (May-August), there are colorful annuals planted throughout different areas which makes it perfect for family picnics or just relaxing under shade trees while enjoying nature’s beauty.

In addition to its stunning plant displays, Atlanta Botanical Garden also offers a variety of educational programs and events throughout year such as classes on gardening techniques or cooking with herbs grown at garden itself; concerts featuring local musicians; art exhibits showcasing works inspired by nature; and much more!

For those who want to learn more about horticulture or botany field itself can take advantage by attending workshops offered by experts who work at this botanical garden which provides hands-on experience with plants grown here.

The Atlanta Botanical Garden also plays an important role in conservation efforts both locally and globally through partnerships with other organizations such as The Nature Conservancy or World Wildlife Fund etc., helping protect endangered species like monarch butterflies whose population has been declining rapidly due to habitat loss caused by human activities like deforestation etc..

Overall, if you're looking for a peaceful escape from city life while still being within city limits then visiting this beautiful botanical garden should be on your list! With so much natural beauty surrounding you everywhere you look combined with educational opportunities available here make it perfect destination not only for tourists but also locals alike!
