An amazing experience Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem's Old City

Jaffa Gate is an incredible, bustling and impressive entry point into Jerusalem's Old City. As you pass the Tower of David, you can see the beginnings of the Christian Quarter to one side and walk along the edge of the Armenian Quarter to the other side. There is a very different feel at night, and both are worthwhile. There are plenty of vendors and shops selling whatever you need. Keep an eye on your belongings due to the crowds in the area.

The Jaffa Gate was my first gate I passed through into the old city of Jerusalem. An amazing piece of history! If you look towards the top you can still see the bullet holes from the Six day war! Take the tour around the top of the walls it s lots of fun!

Very nice area not to be missed. You can easily find your account there; it is lined with hotels, restaurants and shops.

What's not to like? The Jaffa Gate is living history and it's a bridge between newer Jerusalem and the Old City. I met Christian missionaries from Nigeria, Israeli Arabs and Jews (both secular and Orthodox), and other tourists from all over the world. Labrynthine markets are just a few hundred yards away from the gate, and you're also walking distance from the.Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and Dome of the Rock.

When in Jerusalem this gate has its own story. It's surrounded with many small shops at one side and other has Tower of David. To the extreme opposite is a huge shopping mall come various restaurants too. The wall surrounds with other historic buildings and places.

The doors close & the doors open. Ot's a gate. Ot does what it's supposed to do.

Is the entrance to Old City Jerusalem. But as a tip, since everyone feels like going in here, take one of the four or five other entrances to the city. It's quieter here. New Gate, Lions Gate or Damascus Gate for example

Remember to ask someone where the real Jaffa gate is. The one referenced on Google Maps is just an impressive tower which is nice to see when you walk into Jerusalem, but if you are looking for the place where Pilate sentenced Jesus then you need to look down the road.

We visited the City of David near the Western Wall, a city of kings and prophets. We were on a tour to Lili and the representative was amazing.

I was at the City of Lights event, it was lovely! I come every year, love the Old Town in general, always nice to hang out and enjoy the market

The area is old and crowded one side, wide and modern on the other. History and modernity entwine beautifully here. You can easily reach old city from here which leads to Sepulchre basilica. On the other hand you can also find many branded shops and coffee shops etc

The Musrara neighborhood is a combination of the Black Panthermic period, a Meagher Migrant settlement.

Very historical place, but far from western culture. Prepare for something very different.
