Super day, we were able to enjoy two guided tours, the morning and then we returned to the afternoon to complete. The explanations of Lucas and Chloe, currently in civic service, allowed us to walk and educate ourselves .. while bringing anecdotes that make live the visits and appreciate more this magical place.
Thanks again !

Superb estate with an extraordinary variety of Mediterranean plants. To see in any season, with a preference in May. Annual subscription card for the faithful, including myself, from Domaine du Rayol.

A beautiful garden to discover presenting essences from all areas of the Mediterranean world ecosystem.

An association of scents and colors, a thousand and one marvel to discover, a heavenly place, we loved it was sublime, until this small sandy beach with the limpid blue of the Mediterranean and all those species that teased us nostrils. Not far from Lavandou and Cavalaire it is a place to visit. A charming restaurant at Rayol Canadel with a panoramic view of the sea, beautiful

An extraordinary garden ...
A very diverse garden, incredible scents, monumental trees that command respect, an admirable coastal path you can quench your thirst and eat at the restaurant, organic products, delicious fresh, the only downside is a little expensive ... A welcome, possibility to discover the aquatic world on the coast in snorkel and fins on the private beach in the garden, a haven of peace in total respect with nature ... to be discovered absolute ...

Very beautiful garden. I was able to be there during the Gwondana festival with the many activities and exhibitors.

Even if these gardens do not have a botanical vocation, I find it a pity that there are no signs with at least the names of certain species of trees, plants etc. That we find in the garden. With today's technology, we can afford a lot of things without necessarily distorting the presentation of cash. I loved getting lost in these gardens but I wish I could learn more about what was on display.

A site full of tranquility, where the buildings let you imagine the past and where you can wander in the gardens overlooking the sea and revealing superb views.
calm and delicious meal, welcome smiles, in short we spent 4h delicious.
However, it should be noted that given the surface and the number of stairs this place is not accessible to everyone.

When I see the comments of people who have been to see it before, I really regret not having been there earlier because there for the moment, I do not understand that people manage to find a simple potential in this garden apart from the view exterior which does not belong to the garden all the rest banal and without any interest for my taste. I find that the entry price is more than expensive for what we are offered (12 is theft)

very disappointed with the visit in June morning (expensive), garden very poorly maintained (pseudo-ecology); there are more weeds than plants, very few tags (everyone does not want to be flocked with the guide) and no gardener in sight to help ... botanical trail gone; In short, look at Tripadvisor reviews, they look like mine.

Nice place to discover, with a few flats: there is a small beach but we were thrown without sparing when we wanted to access. She was open to other bathers.
A point on the restaurant: interesting menus, reasonable prices, but some details to perfect to be at the top.

About Association Domaine du Rayol

Association Domaine du Rayol: A Natural Paradise in the Heart of Var

Welcome to Association Domaine du Rayol, a natural paradise located in the heart of Var, France. This 20-hectare garden and natural space is situated facing the beautiful islands of Hyères, between Le Lavandou and Saint-Tropez. The association was founded with a mission to preserve and promote Mediterranean biodiversity through education, research, and conservation.

The Domaine du Rayol is a unique place where visitors can discover the beauty of nature while learning about its importance for our planet's future. The garden features over 2,500 plant species from around the world that are adapted to Mediterranean climates. Visitors can explore different landscapes such as coastal areas, maquis shrublands, cork oak forests or even tropical gardens.

The association offers various activities throughout the year for all ages such as guided tours led by expert botanists who share their knowledge about plants' ecology and history. There are also workshops on gardening techniques or cooking with local products from Provence.

One of the most popular events at Domaine du Rayol is "Les Journées des Plantes," an annual plant festival that attracts thousands of visitors from all over Europe. During this event, visitors can meet with horticulturists and nursery owners who showcase their latest creations.

In addition to its educational mission, Association Domaine du Rayol also plays an essential role in preserving endangered species through research programs conducted on-site by scientists from around the world. These programs aim to better understand how plants adapt to changing environments caused by climate change or human activities.

The association's commitment to sustainability goes beyond its scientific work; it also extends into daily operations at Domaine du Rayol itself. For example, they use renewable energy sources like solar panels or wind turbines for electricity production while reducing water consumption through rainwater harvesting systems.

Association Domaine du Rayol has received numerous awards recognizing its efforts towards environmental protection and sustainable development practices such as "Green Key" certification awarded by Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).

In conclusion, Association Domaine du Rayol is not just a beautiful garden but also an educational center dedicated to promoting biodiversity conservation worldwide while inspiring people about nature's beauty and importance for our planet's future generations. Whether you're interested in botany or simply looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by stunning scenery - this place has something special waiting just for you!
