I enjoyed the article, but would like the advice given to include advice on what minimum safeguards homeowners should consider having in place (besides just keeping all of your windows and doors locked all of the time). I d like to know low cost options for making the access points to your house safer (i.e., cutting small wood dowels to fit in the tracks of windows or sliding glass doors, etc.) and links to Consumers Reports-type ratings about security cameras, Ring brand doorbells with cameras, motion sensitive lights, etc. I d like to see a Chevy to Cadillac array of products and information that homeowners could choose to consider for use in their own homes.

In addition, there should be a section on mail theft and not just the theft of packages from your front porch. Much of the identity theft that occurs today does not just happen on the Internet. It also happens when unsavory people cruise a neighborhood in the early hours of the morning raiding whatever mail they can find in unlocked mailboxes. When and if the unlocked mailboxes are depleted, they will even attempt the physical break in to locked mailboxes.

In summary, this article does a good job of identifying the broad strokes of this topic. I would just like to see this article or others that follow to delve further into home safety related topics.

I have been living with ACTIVELY growing mold conditions from structural damage for 63 days. Have not heard a peep from them in over 30 days except for a request for me to send pictures for them to provide to a long shot 2nd insurance claim which ASSOCIA/Tim Durer retracted because he screwed the first one up and this claim didn't have a chance being accepted. ASSOCIA is a Straight Up a NEGLIGENT Corporation. NO concern or help to anyone they are supposed to be covering. Steer Clear of this Company.

SINCERELY,
Twin Springs/Deer Run in Forest Va. Home Owner.

This is the WORST HOA I have ever dealt with. They are crooks. Long story short; my neighborhood was built incorrectly, the resident to parking spot ratio is off, this is a major issue that Loudoun County is working to resolve. Knowing this, CMC has hired a towing company to tow resident's cars. They get a kick back for each car towed. This should be made illegal.

A few other comments; HOA fees have gone up every year since I bought my house. They also make you purchase a new pool pass every year even though the pool "is included in HOA fees".

Lastly, if you ever have a neighborhood specific question your neighborhood representative is ALWAYS on vacation and you will have to speak to someone different each time. Someone that "doesn't know your neighborhood and isn't at liberty to say anything" they always promise your neighborhood representative will call you back. I have never received a call back. This is the worst, most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with.

Yolanda Wiggins recently took over our account. We have been having problems with getting things done in a timely basis as well as being done accurately.

From the very beginning Yolanda was responsive to our needs and getting our ToDo's completed quickly and efficiently. She is the best manager I have experienced since becoming treasurer several years ago.

Thank you Yolanda. You are rockin' it!!
