Lovely venue with a good selection of great entertainment.

Quaint little theatre! Never been before Steal Magnolias but would defo return!

The Ashcroft Arts Centre is a great venue something for everyone whether it be shows and gigs in the intimate theatre, dance classes in a vast dance studio or the varied menu of workshops in the Art and Classrooms. Also it has a well stocked bar and cafe!

Nice little venue with pleasant staff and reasonably priced drinks. The temporary chairs on the bottom level (like row X) could be a little more comfortable for a long show.

Excellent venue. Many well known comedians perform here to trial their new shows. So you can see them live for a very reasonable price. I'd avoid the front rows (which are XYZ) because they aren't tiered. The auditorium is quite small, holds about 160 with the extra front seats, so it's quite cosy. I have seen play here but the stage area is more suited to lone performers.

I love this venue, been to a decent number of comedy shows here and they've always been good fun. It's a small and intimate venue, I'd guess it's less than 80 capacity so there's not a bad seat in the house.

Drinks are cheap and there's a decent selection of local beers which includes Bowman Ales.

Great intimate venue. Never watched a bad show with a great variety and very good prices. It's not a mini west end theatre but it does a great job of keeping grass roots arts alive and accessible.

We love coming to Ashcroft, there are lots of brilliant events we come to here, mostly comedy but some others as well. Staff are enthusiastic and helpful and it's fast becoming our favourite arts venue

Good small local theatre which has good attractions at reasonable prices

I've been to a few comedy performances here and it's always a good night. Very reasonably priced drinks and cosy atmosphere.

Great atmosphere good music would recommend it for a good night out, staff friendly and helpful.

Went to watch an adaptation (comedy) of The 39 Steps with a 3 person cast and the arts centre was a perfect venue for it.

Great venue! What a wonderful afternoon spent with the Portchester Players, laughed all the way though the Bakewell Bake Off. Thank you.

Great venue. Just wish they'd have more touring theatre like 10 years ago :(

The comedian we went to see was very good but although we pre-booked seats and we got there people were sat in our seats and we had to wait until the Intermission before we could get staff to move them as a small time venue I would not have thought it would be that difficult to get the correct seating and there definitely was not enough staff at the bar the beer was all warm and they run of favourites very quickly but I would say staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely staff, great little venue. Well stocked bar and clean toilets. Parkings a bit tight so get there for your gig/class early to avoid any issues.

Nice arena. Went for Gin and Swing. But there wasn't an opportunity to even try swinging a cat in the hall as it was overcrowded for a dance taster class. Great that it gained so much popularity, but venue got a little gready with the numbers. Gin tasters were neat... who drinks neat Gin?? Disappointing.

Great night of comedy. Lucy Porter was great as usual. Cosy in there as usual.

Very welcoming. Nice bar. Comfy raked seats , as a result excellent view of stage. Quite intimate space but worth a visit.

Pleasant venue. Too small for a dance. Not enough seating. Disorganised for the amount of people there.

Great comedy show but, plastic glasses, shocking beer on sale. Only reason for two stars was the lovely lady - petite mid-50s - working behind the bar.

Great venue and really helpful staff!

Would highly recommend if you're looking to attend a show or hosting an event there. In particular, Shaun has been extremely helpful in all our conversations with him.

We use this centre for dance lessons. The car parking is very limited, however the rooms are great to use.
The staff always to hand and helpful. You get a nice welcome to.

My son does a dance class there and the staff are great fun and really nice
