Ascot Racecourse Review

Went to Royal Ascot. Best race course on the planet. Go Ascot regularly, just love being there!

It's in scenic Windsor area. Colourful during racing season in Summer .

So well organised. A place where people travel from all over the country annually to celebrate the Royal Ascot races. Its an excuse to dress in your finery, drink champagne and watch royalty enjoy their sport.

Good but like a airport in grandstand queues 2 long 4 drinks but lovely setting

Dam good sport. Dam good food. The layout is not as simple as other courses however due to the size that's no surprise. The bars are over crowded and the walk ways are not kept clear. The staff are very busy. Pick your events well however ive never had a bad visit I would not take my children to this course.

A lovely day spent with the hubby. Betting and drinking in the gorgeous summer sun!

On non-race days you can go for a circular walk inside the race track without getting muddy

Great day out at the races. Quite expensive for drinks so make sure you bring your own sparkling wine

Brilliant like the security and checks being done. Only problem no bins for rubbish

If you go to any racecourse, you have to here.They have plenty of flat/jump meetings so go make the most.

A lovely day out with family and friends. Not too busy, and lovely weather... didn't pick too many winners but the venue is spectacular, not too long a queue to get in or to get a drink. Stella was good, but parking was only ok.

If you're in, you're in (racecourse), otherwise disrupts traffic through Ascot, makes it unpleasant to be in the town. From the inside however it's very nice. If you visited many years ago, there has been a lot of new building, isolating the race course from the town.

Bar service was slow and unprofessional and they ran out of basics very early. Extremely disappointing!

Great days at the races here - can be a bit crowded on the "big" days but service is always first class and the food is excellent.

Great place to walk, you can walk around the race course or through the heath

Family fun days are great value and the fireworks are always amazing. A real family favourite.

Ascot was fantastic but year after year the one way traffic system is awful. Took over 90 mins from ascot high street to car park 7 !

This place is the "holy grail" home of top quality horse racing wonderful lawns, hospitality suites glore. The staff i met were polite courteous and friendly. Everything you could need for a great day out with friends and family.

Beautiful, iconic venue, getting out of the car park can be a nightmare but otherwise great.

Fantastic venue, this time we visited for a grand scale wedding which easily accommodated 800 people yet it didn t feel claustrophobic. There is a huge car park across the road for convenience.

Great Venue, Fabulous Events, excellent for all the family.

Been once for a normal race day and twice for Royal Ascot in the Queen Anne Enclosure. Great views of the horses, screens easy to see, lots of places to bet. However, it gets so busy that you can barely move or see. People were pushing More

Royal Ascot - great racing in a wonderful atmosphere

If you can tolerate all the kn*bs that go to the races then it makes for a great day out...excellent modern facilities at Ascot.

What a fabulous venue, excellent day at the races, well recommended.

Great venue for horse racing as long as you don't get involved in the many fights

I had a magical time in the Royal Enclosure at Ascot, which has an almost other worldly quality to it - a tiny preserved piece of a more elegant era. We went on the Wednesday, when it wasn't too busy, but still plenty of very elegantly dressed people to admire. The hospitality packages are eye wateringly expensive but the food was actually very good, it was really nice to have our own dedicated table as a base throughout the day, and we were very well looked after by the staff. Not to mention the free flowing Champagne!

Far too many people, could not stop for long enough to look at merchandise. There should be a cap on ticket sales.

Had a fantastic day yesterday, thank goodness we had folding chairs with us - the place was packed and despite the organisers providing 2,000 extra seats there was nowhere near enough. Having said that my score is reduced because of the state of the Disabled facilities. They were dirty and the smell was terrible, there was no waste bin to put used paper hand towels in so they were balanced on top of, what looked like, a water cistern . Owners and trainers would not have stabled the horses there. It's a unisex facility but because it isn't supervised not only disabled peple were using it, despite the fact that the number of ladies toilets was huge, then they had the nerve to complain when a male carer brought in a young man. Such a pity that a really great day was marred by this.

Nice open green space and paved route for walking dogs, free parking

Whether you live in London or just visit, a race day in Ascot is perfect for a day trip. We were to the flat season in May, which is generally less crowded compared to Royal Ascot.
