It is great to be able to go back to Arun Leisure. My first Aqua Aerobics class since March and I loved it. Not so good was that they don't warn you you can't enter the Centre until 5 minutes before the class so we had to socially distanced queue in the rain. Not pleasant. And meant class had to start late to get everyone who had pre-booked, or many would have missed the class start. All the arrangements in place offer social distancing except in the pool itself where the exercises given meant we sometimes bunched up which was a big odd. No showers available in changing rooms post class.

Unfriendly, rude, unprofessional. Website had an issue with our booking but we were made to feel like it was our fault. We booked for a certain time and instead were told to come back two hours later, no empathy or apology. Staff very abrupt and unpleasant. Under 2's should be free but yet we were charged on website adult price. Staff member simply said "I don't know". No willingness to go the extra mile and find out for us, clearly missed that day of customer service training.
Also dirty, unhygienic and not even told to take our shoes off before going in the changing area! Would not use again and certainly would not recommend.

i've been bringing my child here for swimming for a very long time & this centre is going down hill, changing cubicles are dirty, the seats have been taken away so you cannot watch your child having swimming lessons, the showers which you rinse off in before & after swimming are cold & feeble, alot of the staff are unfriendly & reception staff are the least welcoming i have ever met, everything seems to much hassle & their eyes appear to be on the computer screen in front of them instead of on you. there also needs to be clearer rules on hygiene in the pool when it comes to childrens verrucas for example! 1 lady called the desk to ask wether her child could come because he had a verruca & they were told that they could as no children seem to catch them there. my child had to miss 4 weeks of lessons after catching one, & when i asked the lady on reception what the rules were, i was told there arent really any & that there are swim socks available.. it needs to be made clearer to parents that children should wear a sock! the swim teachers are nice, & if it wasnt for them, & the fact that this center is local to me, i would never go there & i wouldnt recommend it to anyone either.
I HAVE UPDATED THIS REVIEW BECAUSE I AM SIMPLY APPALLED AT THE LEVEL OF CLEANLINESS & HYGIENE!
NOTHING GETS DONE ABOUT IT, DESPITE USERS CONSTANTLY COMPLAINING ABOUT THE GRIME WHICH IS THICK ON EVERY SURFACE OF THE CHANGING CUBICLES & TOILETS! .. COLD SHOWERS ARE STILL A REGULAR THING, THIS PLACE NEEDS TO CLOSE FOR A COMPLETE DEEP & THOROUGH CLEAN! ... APPARENTLY THEY ARE CLEANED EVERY HOUR? BUT I BELIEVE THE PHOTOS TELL A DIFFERENT STORY!
HERE ARE SOME PICTURES I TOOK OF JUST ONE OF THE TOILET CUBICLES, & JUST ONE OF THE CHANGING CUBICLES.
I THINK ITS ABOUT TIME THAT ALC TOOK NOTICE & SORTED THIS DIRE SITUATION OUT!

As a leisure centre it's ok but nothing special. The changing rooms are dirty and the toilets should be avoided if at all possible. The staff are friendly which is a big plus. I can only comment on the pool which is small and too warm for most swimmer's.. Optionally more suited to mums a toddler groups and young kids. The canteen are is usually clean and tidy and the parking is free.
