Beautiful buildings. Lots of modern art. Tremendous glass displays. Another NARM reciprocal venue so free for us. Plan on 2 hours
We went to see the Chihuly exhibit at the Baker museum. It was wonderful! Definitely worth the $10 per person admission fee!! We also saw the Rodin exhibit & enjoyed it. Going through these two exhibits didn't leave us anytime to see the rest of the museum, but I have visited the museum previously and did enjoy the permanent exhibits each of those times. NOTE: the $10/adult fee is for the entire museum, so there is no extra charge for the Chihuly or Rodin exhibits.
Provided safe, socially distanced , opportunity to enjoy entertainment like Tusk great tribute to Fleetwood Mac
Loved this museum until today. Walked up here. Walked in unlocked door. No one was at front desk so I went into exhibit. Was there for about 10 minutes and worker came in. I gave my membership card to him and he asked me to please follow him . He questioned me on how I got in. I stated thru the regular door and he proceeds to tell me that could not be. I said only way I could have gotten in. He then asked me to leave. Rude and accusatory. Seriously if you don t want members to visit -don t leave the doors open and don t sell memberships.
Beautiful. Very nice place to visit. Youth performances to adults. Art work of all ages on display. Very well kept and clean.
This is a small art museum packed with powerful paintings and permanent installs of Chihuly's glass sculptures. They also had a student exhibit featuring art from Pre-K to 12th graders and it was phenomenal. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return in the neat future.
Was really fun and interesting. 10$ per adult in the door to see the paper art.
Enjoyed the beautiful, blown glass the most in this museum and the life size wooden horse on the 3rd floor! Have an amazing royal blue blown glass fixture hanging down from three stories as you enter the museum with a reflecting pool below it, showing off its beauty! Have a gorgeous abstract painting as you enter the museum behind the counter where you can show or purchase your tickets. Also, on the 3rd floor there is a long hallway between art exhibits with a ceiling filled with beautiful blown glass shaped like bowls, round plates, interspersed with creatures like an octopus & a crab & with various intriguing, colorful shapes throughout! Across the way, there is beautiful, huge, red blown glass fixture interspersed with balloon & spiraled shapes hanging down from two floors! Also, had great sculptures & busts from Rodin on the 1st floor & great pieces of art throughout!
This place was so much fun and so calming. The baker museum looked amazing.
Baker Museum contains an interesting eclectic selection of works of art over a couple of centuries. The theatre also has art by local current artists which worth exploring. Both have excellent gift shops with quality items, especially jewelry. Definitely above the norm.
