Absolutely horrible company. I was $10 overdue on my bill for 3 weeks and they cut my water. I paid within an hour. I'm going on day 3 with no water. Just called and they said they couldn't do anything. Kids in the house. Toilet can't flush. Horrible company.

Placed a new fire hydrant on my front lawn. My property map doesn't show easement. Called to see if they can place it closer to the road or 50 feet away at the corner they told me "no" and to put a bush next to it. Called the city, and they said it's not on them, it's all Artesian. I want to know how they legally can place a hydrant on my lawn when there is no easement on my property map?! Are they compensating me for it? Nope.

If I could give them a Zero I would! So in order to start my service, I pay these people a $200 deposit which I've never had to pay any other utility company a deposit all my life, and provide them with a copy of my lease. Paid all of my bills on time as we've only had service for 6 months and about to move next month. Call them to ask when I can expect to receive a refund once we move and they then explain to me that the landlord has to contact them in order to confirm you actually moved and in order to receive whatever is left of your original balance after your final bill. I then asked why does the landlord have to get involved if I provide them with a copy of my new lease as well as all of my legal documents showing my new address. The answer I got was because of what other people did in the past, this is their new policy. I think that is ridiculous their policies need to be rewritten!

Horrible company. I was a customer already for a number of years when I signed up for their electronic billing. They somehow got my email address wrong. So rather than calling or sending me something in the mail (I'm pretty sure they know where I live), they apparently sent a message to the email address they had on file, saying the email didn't work. Really??!! Then they shut off the water to the house without so much as knocking on the door or even leaving a note.>> WHILE WE WERE INSIDE<<.

I am a good customer, have lived here for 22 + years without a late payment. I came home yesterday to find my service turned off. I did not receive an email or a bill actually nor did I receive any type of communication regarding the shutoff. I own missing the payment, I guess, since I have been paying it for so long. Don t think, in this crazy world we are living in right now, I deserved to be just shut down without notice or any regard.
Poor business! I guess since they control us and wether we have water or not they can do anything they want. Sad sad sad is the only words that come to mind for them. I am a recent widow and with everything going on in the world, just trying to make do. To come home from work (essential worker) to water shut off Sad Sad Sad. So I m here waiting for Artesian to come turn water on Sometime between 8 and 6 today. Wishing there was another choice for water company but like I said they have us over a barrel and can do whatever they want apparently.

If I could give 0 stars I would! This company is the biggest joke and biggest scam artists I've ever dealt with! Had my water shut off, no statements, notices, nothing! I signed up for ebill and auto pay, they have no record of it even though I did it on the phone with a representative. I have a 2 year old in my house and they are just stealing money at this point. Plus they charged me 100$ for shut off/turn on fee while the guy was at my house not even turned off yet! Thai company is a complete and utter joke and a total piece of garbage! I'd rather carry a bucket of water from the river than deal with you scum!

THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST!!! WE HAVE NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT, CAME HOME TODAY AND THEY SHUT OUR WATER OFF BECAUSE THEY DIDNT GET IN TO UPDATE THE METER!!! IS THIS EVEN LEGAL!!! WE CANT EVEN FLUSH THE TOILET!!! CURSE THIS COMPANY!! I HOPE THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS AND GET TAKEN OVER BY A REAL COMPANY!

THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY IN DELAWARE. Came home from out of town to my water being shut off while I supposed to be enrolled in autopay. I haven t gotten any calls, emails, OR mail. When I looked online they never took out a penny! I tried to pay it online right then and there and they put a restriction on my account that wouldn t allow me to pay and same problem via phone. AND they close on the weekend. So I can t even get a hold of anyone until monday to get my water back. If you re going to shut people water off at least have the decency to have someone available to assist with these issues! I even called the emergency hotline and had to leave a message. It s not much of an emergency hotline when you STILL can t get a hold of anyone. I would give ZERO stars if this allowed me to!

ARTESIAN IS THE WORSE BUSINESS IN DELAWARE! I am considering moving from my area just to find another water company. Sad, I wish I have another alternative so I don t have to move.Having to deal with misinformation, incompetence, and antiquated technology sucks.

This place never sent us a bill and cause we paid one day late they turn the water off. We called and they said they had no policy for shutting water off. I have a baby that needs the water for formula and they didn't care even when we paid on the spot from finding out it was late. They said they would turn it on some time later in the day. Horrible horrible people.
